((With permission from Rakura to use Mich))
Jay looked back at him dumbfounded. Before she could say anything about his attempt at a joke, she bit her tongue. Maybe he jested because a bolt through a vampire's chest was the same as being shot through the shoulder anywhere else. That was despite what she was told from her mentor. Roman may not have dropped straight into a paralytic state, but he certainly was not moving much when she found him.
Her eyes glanced down at Roman's still form and the four fixed blades of the arrowpoint. Somehow she felt herself unconvinced of it all.
"Go find the animals first," she said, avoiding his gaze a moment longer. "I can stand watch a little longer with Dark around. Best have something for Roman right away after pulling the bolt than for him to not feed and risk bleeding or burning out if he cannot heal right away." Or for him to accidentally have enough bloodlust to overcome his aversion to human blood and then accidentally try to feed on her.
Micheal did not long consider her words before vanishing with gifted speed. Silently while Dark still nosed the corpse not far away, the ranger kept Roman tipped on his side so that pressure would not be put on either bolt end.
With no words of comfort that could be said aloud, the air was eerily for the ranger as she waited for Micheal to return. When he did reappear, it was later than she had expected. Micheal knelt again beside Roman, dropping the small furry bodies he had collected to the side in the grass.
Apparently, the presence of the earlier dragon had sent anything still up at this hour scurrying to get as far away as it could. Jay looked over at the fur and legs, almost certain that it would not be enough to fix something like this. They had to hurry though. They may have had half the night yet but the hours still passed.
Micheal went back to holding Roman up while she pulled on a glove and placed her fingers just short of the bolt's metal point.
"Ready when you give the word," Jay said, waiting for the moment, ready on her toes to step back in case Roman woke up and tried to snap at her. By the way the bolt was set, it was possible he had a cracked rib or two if he was not able to heal as a vampire should when like this. And if Micheal was right, it might mean she would have to leave soon after doing this.
She made one quick look around to see where her horse might have gotten to.

Rakura Lynn Target frowned looking at the Prince shaking his head. "Don't you get it, I didn't ask for one, nor did I intend to." Target's head tilted a little as he tried to get a better look at the Prince. "Then here you are, mumbling on something about payment for answers for my questions." Target then smiled. "I could as for my reward that you answer every question I ask truthfully and with out any payment, but then that would be too easy." The white dragon then curled up to rest. "Where is the fun in that." Kocerou had to smile at that. Whenever a dragon or human came to deal with the fae, it was with knowledge of how the fae acted and how they treated exchanges of power or information. It was rare for someone to make bargains with the fae in ignorance and unheard of for someone to enter the fae court unaware of the games the fae played. He couldn't help but marvel somewhat at Target's disregard for these matters. "I do not forget debts, mortal," Kocerou murmured to himself in the fae tongue, "I will settle our score myself if I must."

The dragon rested his eyes only hearing foreign words spoken in a low manner. This has been the most irregular evening so far. Target's mind wondered in his void of his eyes being closed trying to make sense of what was said, and what it could be about. Still he couldn't come to believe that real harm came to his blood. This still bothered him, still, would Kocerou welcome Bulls like he did him, why should he not think about what he just witness. Target took a deep breath as his brother always told him to, and just let all go, he will deal with it at a later time, resting was good for now.

Dark then lift the limp body by the back of the collar of the cloak and shirt with his claws and stood it up where the feet was barely touching it's feet and made it hop up and down for his own amusement.
Micheal tossed a few of the animals near the side of Jay. "He is more feral than I, when it comes down to it." He then placed a firm grasp upon the side and his neck. "Be Quick." Micheal then closed his eyes, as his body became very still at first 20 seconds, till the ebony hair vampire started to shake from the constant feeling of being boiled in hot water, and the spit fire of a dragon of the venom from his very own that circulated in the young boy. "Now" Clicked his teeth as they grinned it's a wonder how he hasn't shattered them by now.
Dark lowered the body slowly as he lowered his own body and held very still just looking off in the trees as he focused on some what numbing the pain his bound was feeling just leaving his mind clear and focused on one thing Roman.

Kier listened wide eyed letting out a little 'oh' of revelation, storing the tidbits of information for later. He thought it cool how fae could all be one race but so different. He took in the difference of appearances between the one he followed and the fae guard with interest, liking to learn what he could.
He followed her watching his footing, the gaping ravine tempting his nerves. If he fell that would be the end of him. Oh no no no, he couldn't die now, he hadn't become a hero yet. Heroes weren't afraid of anything. He shook his head solidly and held it high and proud. He was himself, and he was alive. He had his honor. He followed after her trying to make his pace match hers but not seem over eager as it had before.

The fae led Kier down into the ravine and through the winding trails. It was much wider than it seemed from the top and trees grew at the bottom, broken up by jagged rock formations. It was a unearthly place, made even more so by the fae that had set up camp there. Never before had so many fae been gathered in one place outside of their forest. Some called out to the fae leading Kier in their own language and she replied the same each time. The fae laughed at her response.
Then the ravine broadened and a single tree dominated the area, hedged in by the sheer cliffs on either side. A dragon - an adult - sat falling asleep at the base of the tree. And sitting where the roots and tree trunk had been shaped to form a throne was a fae with brilliant long hair and a delicate crown on his brow.
"Go on," the fae whispered, "Make sure you bow and do not raise your head until he bids you to."

'Risen.' Sain's voice was clear in Risen's head and only Risen could hear it. 'There is a ranger some distance away from the fae, but close enough that I am concerned. Ensure that she and the Prince never meet.'

Risen nodded to the voice that no one else heard and then turned from the reborn assassin without further thought. He had felt the ranger too. Now he only had to figure out how to keep her from the prince without causing too much trouble.

Uritia and Falinor approached the small clearing but stopped short. There were still people there and it was unclear if they were friend or foe so rushing in would be foolish. Instead Uri used her ability to shift herself into a dragonfly and Falinor into a beetle. Thus disguised they would move forward to see who was out there.

Whatching the Fae nod, clearly there was something on his mind. Toft jumpped down with a slight tilt of his head watching him turn away. "Was that, a yes, or shall I call you "Day Dreamer" oh colorfull one of the forest." Toft then rolled his shoulders, with though that he was only pestering now and turn to walk closer to the Fea's encampment to take a bite or two to eat.

Her fallen wings out stretched as she was growing tired of boredom. "I dislike this feeling." She walked following old tracks in the ground. "Large dragons, maybe one or two young adults." Enduria looked around for other tracks but wasn't sure to get her hopes too high, Another like her. Unlikely, but then there was herself. She was highly unliked rape, theft, murder she has done it and still does it today. She ran her fingers through her hair, as she fumbled through confuse feelings as why she cared all the sudden, maybe it was that time then she pause. does she still lay eggs or does she actualy have, them like humans. "This is why I dislike this feeling, I start thinking about things I shouldn't care about."Her eyes glared as she looked around. "Something please come by." So I can snap it's neck.

Kier wanted to ask her what she was telling the other fae and what they were laughing at, but he was too caught up in awe at the sheer size of the tree. It took him a minute to stop looking up at it's branches and to look at it's base, and the throne shaped there. He thought it was really really cool, but seeing the crown on the head of the throne's occupant stopped him from gaping. Instead he tried to puff himself up to look big and strong and noble. He promptly deflated and looked at his guide uncertainly when she was whispering.
He took himself a deep breath, and walked to stand in front of the throne, just now noticing the full grown dragon beside it. He bowed his head best he could like he'd been advised and waited. He almost quivered. This was a real prince! He was excited...

With a swift pull, the ranger pulled the bolt from Roman's chest and took a few steps back once doing so. Now free, the bolt was held only in her gloved fingers, the wood stained a darker color, the color of which she could mercifully not make out in the low light of the eve. She watched carefully the way Micheal handled it all, silently guessing at what he could be doing and guessing ahead at how she may have to react.

His sire has always been the one that was determine to keep him alive no matter how much of a walking contradiction he was, Now he has practically has a whole family. Roman used to question it, he still doesn't understand, he was just weapon at one point of time. The young vampire hoped how this was his own thoughts for they weren't about how the pain wasn't there but then felt the slow dragging of the bolt where his body jerked and his eyes shot open with a cough of pain fangs fully flared as he felt a dizzy spin. He is in bad shape, Roman thought and then his eyes ember glow focused on the Ranger that just pulled the bolt out ignoring the forceful grasp that Micheal held him down with. It was a good moment before he tried to grab the animal nearest to him slowly and carefully, he brought it to his mouth and then sunk his teeth in it, ignoring the taste of fur, but his eyes didn't leave Jay's.

As soon as the bolt was out, micheal's grip tighten while glancing at Jay, Dark was doing his best but even he was starting to show signs of bending to the pain that Micheal was taking as his own burden to give the Younger vampire peace from his torment to some what properly heal. If the two succubi were with them it would be much easier with their hungry appetites. "Raymon, focus on the animals, I am not letting you go till they are all gone." Micheal really couldn't think about Jay at the moment he believes she knows what to do is best.
Dark slowly started pawing at the dirt to fight his discomfort, this hasn't has happen as much not since the Ranger been around. The spider, The field where he threw his back out and felt what a arrow felt like for a first time, then the nights, to the cliff stunt, to now this. When will it end.

Her eyes were locked with Roman's for a time, watching the glow. Was he angry with her? She couldn't see that. Was there something she did or did not do? Maybe. It was probably the blood thirst she told herself.
After watching a few swallows, the ranger turned away and started at a full stride through the grass.
"Don't go anywhere."
She did not want to say more. Why disturb anyone's concentration more than she had to. The words were enough to say she would return and enough of a jest in attempt to not make one question her, even though her habit of disappearing and reappearing was starting to be more than just that.
Far enough out across the grounds and back at the roadside, Jay found at least one of what she was looking for.
"Panic much don't you," the ranger grumbled as she came up upon her horse. She had been hoping to find Roman's first. That one had probably dashed off toward the trees for cover from the dragon. Smart, but it would not help her find the bugger if she couldn't see it without clocking herself on a tree or tripping over the ground.
With another grumble she lifted herself into the saddle and coaxed the horse into a trot back to where the other two vampires were. Sliding back into the grass again, she turned back around to the horse and started removing the saddle and its packs. She made a mental reminder that if anyone at the cult asked what happened to her horse she would tell them a dragon got it. That was at least believable.
"Here," she said as she led over the skittish horse only as close as she dared - which happened to be still a few horse lengths away since the horse wasn't cooperating. "Those rats aren't going to be enough."
