Her eyes followed his movement as he bowed, chuckling at his response. "Well, I've had years of practice." She winked, smirking as her gaze met his. If only you could have seen the numbers that had tried. One of Eda's teasings popped into her head, causing an inward chuckle. Oh the comments she'd be making now. Then again, she'd also be concerned. You already know of this, don't you friend?
His action reminded her much of how knights would kneel before they were knighted, a soft smile rising to her lips. Oh those years long past... Ah, but they were certainly another time. Reaching a hand forward, she touched the hand that held his sword, the other hand coming to rest upon his shoulder. "At the very least you are my student. However, you are also my friend. Those are two facts that shall not change." She started, never bothered by how cold his skin was. "Whether or not you become my lover, still remains up to you." She finished softly, the hand residing on his shoulder brushing past his chin to raise it if he so wished, both falling to her sides as she looked down to him.

For once, the twins were not seen together. Ranka was currently meditating/resting in their room. Though she's probably also conversing with the haunting spirits. Sheryl mused to herself with a light sigh, walking into the lunchroom to glance about. Personally she wasn't looking forward to her first class considering she was thrown out of it the day before. Not my fault if the teacher is wrong. She felt a small prickling at her throat, grimacing for she knew the reasons as to why. Alright, alright.... I'll behave. Stepping into the lunchroom, she was always sort of oblivious to everyone else, mostly just reading them as different energy sources via her senses.
Grabbing a plate, she nabbed some eggs, bacon, pancakes, and some tea. Careful of the tea, she found an abandoned table closer towards the back, not surprised when others kept their distance. Sitting down with a light sigh, she waited for her tea to steep before adding any sugar or creamer.
Pausing as she sensed an oddly brighter energy output than the rest, her brows furrowing as she narrowed down who it was. I know that reading... Looking up, she saw Seiji standing there appearing almost thoughtful. Smirking, she decided to try something, focusing upon the life energy within him. She gave a slight tug so as to grab his attention, not really doing anything with it. After all, it wasn't like she intended to drain him, only get his attention. It wasn't in her style to shout across a cafeteria. No, it was more fun this way.

Food, food, food. What sort of food should he get? He was feeling hungry, though honestly he didn't know what to get. Maybe a bit of everything. Or a lot of just one thing. Either way, he'd find something eventually. It was only a matter of time before he made his decison. He looked over the food, partial to some light cereal, or maybe some fruit and juice. It was only when he felt something odd that his attention pulled from the food. "Hm?" Lifting his head and looking about for a moment, Seiji had to wonder if someone had tapped him on the shoulder. Or maybe someone had thrown something at him. Turning around once, he looked about, wondering what he had felt. He was sure it was something. Though what could it be?
He hadn't seen anything in particular when he'd searched about. There was not was near him. Then again it could have been his imagination, or maybe his hopes wanting someone to notice him. As he turned about once more, his kei pulsed slightly, and anyone watching him would have noticed as his kei pulsed, his body him to pulse that indigo colour for just a split second.
On his second sweep, Seiji had noticed Sheryl, further from him and sitting all alone. Had it been her? It was possible. He didn't know her abilities, or her sister's for that matter. He smiled, and wave lightly to her. Glancing back to the food for a moment, the raven haired man decided on some juice and a couple pieces of fruit. That should keep him going long enough before his next him. Heading off to Sheryl's table, Seiji smiled once as he approached
"Hello again," he greeted her brightly. "I wasn't expecting to see you again so soon."((So unfortunately I'm working a double shift today. Right now is probably the only chance I'll have to get online. I'll post tomorrow when I wake up though, haha. Sorry Shadow.))

(( Yeesh, have fun with that. >.< Haha, it's alright. Earn the money's, it is important. ^_^ )) Sheryl was more than amused at how he reacted, albeit not quite her intention, but certainly worth it now. Probably should have waved or something....Ah well, he'll notice eventually. The pulse made her blink, the smirk vanishing as she seemed to relax more. Well now, interesting. It made her wonder if he did that often. Probably just an unconscious non-controllable thing.
Snapping out of her thoughts, she saw him wave, returning it with a faint smile. There we go. She wasn't sure if she and her sister had been the only people he'd met so far, but she had almost assumed that she was the only person he was familiar with right now. Though, it wasn't like she had any idea who his roommate might be. Or if he has one. She dug into her eggs, first, swallowing right as he got to her table.
Honestly, the reaction of everyone else there was amusing as well. The creepy new girl had a guy at her table. And well, judging from some of the girls reactions, they must like him. Or wait.... two different definitions of like right? Uh.... probably the latter. Ack, why are the living so complex!
"Greetings this morning. I didn't either, but here we are." This caused a small chuckle to flow from her, his cheerfulness rather refreshing. "So, considering you were wandering around last night, is it safe to assume you will have an idea of where to go for classes today?" She asked, blinked, thought about what she said, and rubbed her eyes, her make up seeming to not smear. "Ack, er.... Ranka and I weren't following you. I can just sense energy signatures. Specifically, life force energies. Yours is particularly bright so it stands out." She explained quickly, a little flustered as she scratched the back of her head nervously. You'll do fine. He's non-judgemental right? Blinking, she gave a nervous laugh, quickly finishing off her eggs as a distraction.
At least she was comforted in knowing the fact Ranka probably would have said the same thing, except she wouldn't have realized implications of what she had said. Back home when they were taught about living creatures, Sheryl had mostly all of what they said. Some concepts still escaped her since they were things that needed to be felt rather than explained. Ranka, on the other hand, absorbed info, but.... she didn't really understand. (( And Starry, have fun camping!! ))

Maybe it'd been the slight bit of kei that gotten away from him, or just the fact that he was new on campus. But Seiji was noticing some eyes on him, other than Sheryl's. When he finally sat down, he couldn't help but glance around for a moment, wondering if he'd somehow managed to make a fool out of himself already. Though that couldn't be, he hadn't tripped or anything.
It was a little odd, but he'd dealt with worse before. Nothing Seiji couldn't handle. A few stares and fleeting glances were better than dark glances and judging glares. Besides, not that he was sitting and with someone he knew, he felt a bit easier. It would have been awkward to be sitting alone at a table by himself. It wasn't as if he could simply walk up to another table and sit down. Not without making an awkward situation one way or another.
"Wandering around...oh. Mmhm. Well, I hope so," Seiji replied. He smiled a little sheepishly. His mind quickly recalled the events of last night and where he'd gone about. He hadn't exactly explored the grounds to depths he would have liked, but that would be done later when he had more time. He knew where the classes were held, and that was what was most important.
"Oh...so then, it was you that I felt, just now. Haha, I definitely hadn't been expecting it. Makes for a good greeting I guess. Certainly gets attention." It had certainly gotten his attention. Then again with him, it was easy enough to find a way to distract him. "Ahh. Yeah. Hah, any sensory type of ability would have a hard time missing me. Not exactly something I can control, not as well as I would like. But I'm practising."
Seiji looked over his food and picked up an apple, before returning his gaze to Sheryl. So she could sense energy types, and apparently manipulate or reach out to them somehow as well. That much had been proven when she had gotten his attention. It was definitely something that piqued his interest. Learning about others was always fun, especially if they had abilities as well.
"Well, I guess technically I can control it. Keep it in a constant state. Manipulate my energy and make use of it. But according to Dhama and the things I've been shown, I have a lot more to learn," he said calmly, his mind wandering just a bit. "Oh. Uhm, Dhama was like a mentor to me, a teacher from my past. At least they said I learn fast. That has to count for something, haha."

Sheryl was attentive, even moreso than normal since she was so not used to this situation at all. With her sister, yeah, but they were created as a pair. "It's not too hard, I promise. Ranka and I have different classes and they were easy to find." She murmured, feeling a smaller smile come across her lips. It was steadily becoming more and more familiar to do so.
With a giggle, she nodded, almost sounding a little devlish though not by intention. "Yep! I'd rather not shout across all these people and well, it's harmless. Or what I did is harmless to be more accurate." She smiled, laughing a little as she sipped her tea. "At least you have a choice to be able to control the level of your abilities. I'm sure you'll get it." That may seem an odd comment to make, but well, it was true. She had a forced limiter and now had to relearn what she could do and what she couldn't do. Lowering her eyes, she bit into her bacon, her blue eyes dimming in how bright they were. It wasn't a big difference, and few would notice it. It didn't take long to regain their normal brightness though, raising to look at him as he spoke.
Tilting her head a little as she listened, she continued to nom on her bacon, soon finishing it off. He answered the question she was about to ask, nodding a little bit in understanding. "It can count for a lot. Means you'll be able to move on faster." She smiled, glancing around at a slight fluctuation of energy in the room, only being people moving in and out. "My sister is a necromancer. Technically the grim reaper though she hates the title. She'd never say so though. She is having a hard time learning about how living creatures behave. You saw how robotic she was last night. But you made her smile in the slightest, the first time she's ever done so. She'll understand how things happen, or at least seem to, but in the application stage it seems to go amiss. We were sent here to learn to be more like other living beings. Call it field study if you want. So believe me, being a fast learner is awesome." She explained, sighing lightly as she thought about Ranka. When she told him how he made her smile, her expression softened, giving her a kinder sense than what most people saw. All they saw was that she was intimidating.
Another nervous chuckle passed her lips, sipping at her tea once more. "Maybe she was created with that unfortunate flaw, I certainly don't know. Sometimes the Elders make no sense at all. Er... The Elders made us. Technically we're Old Ones like them." She realized that may end up creating more confusion, but for the moment she hoped it didn't.

That was good to hear. As long as he remember to grab his schedule when he went back for his books, all would be well. Being late for class wasn't something Seiji wanted to do, but might be unavoidable if he couldn't figure things out. Though Sheryl's words comforted him. It meant he shouldn't have too much difficulty going from class to class.
Reaching up and brushing a piece of hair from his eyes, Seiji nodded in response. If there was a discreet way to get someone's attention in a place like the cafeteria, it was always better to do so. He knew that from experience too. Biting into his apple, Seiji made sure the juice didn't dribble down his chin. Chewing quickly and swallowing, he kept his eyes on Sheryl as she spoke.
Bits and pieces made sense. Some things Sheryl was saying Seiji could understand. The Grim Reaper. It was an odd thing to think of. Especially since he'd already met Ranka. She was the Grim Reaper? Well, in a place like this, Seiji didn't doubt it. Besides, he'd heard stranger things. He'd once met a man claiming to be the man who would one day bring about the end of the world. Needless to say he was nothing more than delusional.
As Seiji listened, he took another bite of his apple, processing the words. Old ones. Elders. Each area had it's different interpretations and views. Thoughts on the world, the cycle of life and death. Different names, or different aspects also came into play, but when it came down to it, the texts all said more or less the same thing. So then, as Seiji thought about it, he had to wonder. Were Sheryl and Ranka than something along the lines of demi-gods? Or maybe it even trancended beyond that. Old ones, Seiji thought that over a little more.
"Sounds like you carry a lot of responsibility. The both of you. I guess compared to how you've lived, my life isn't really all that substantial. Haha," Seiji scratched the back of his head as he laughed a little. "I've been pretty fortunate as it is. Living with a group with plenty experience and the patience to teach me. Learning more about myself and what I could do. Better than being cast out and treated like dirt I suppose."
Seiji had been told of what happened to many of his kind. Especially the ones who lived long enough to control some of their kei. Being rampant and destructive, living out their lives as criminals, or hunted down by people who deemed them dangerous. In truth, Seiji very well could have hunters coming after him some day. Just by being able to flow his kei into the Dite, he was dangerous. Let alone his ability to enhance his human capabilities. Perhaps in another life time, he too would have been one of those criminals.
"It's not as if a Psyharden possesses control over life and death. Just excessive amounts of energy. Kei. It builds up over time if you don't learn to control it. Hah..I guess my kei would be the higher energy signal you get from me," Seiji continued on, holding out his free hand for a moment. For another few seconds, his outstretched hand glowed with the indigo outline. First only a slight amount, and then it solidified and grew brighter. Though quickly faded away when Seiji pulled his hand back in. "That kei can just be used to our advantage, if you know how to make use of it." He smiled, as he looked from his hand to Sheryl.

To that, Sheryl shrugged honestly not ever thinking about that which the two of them did. Though, when he said his life wasn't substantial, she looked rather confused. Not substantial? What was he, nuts? "Every life is substantial. Never think otherwise." She appeared rather serious when she said that, taking a bite out of her pancake which softened her features again. Chewing, she swallowed, planning on continuing the thought. "Thats lucky though. I've only been around others like me. Each controls a part of nature in a manner of speaking. One of the teachers here, even though she's only a half-breed, holds a certain power over Creation. She draws something, it comes to life." She didn't mean to sound denegrading towards Tsuki, but the Elders were like that and well.. she had no other experience with people. At least live people. "So it was all very mechanical. And very... erm... I don't know the right word." She appeared briefly troubled, taking a few moments before she got it. "Well, I guess you could say rigid. Strict! Ah, thats the word. Yeah. So, at least you grew as a person amongst others." She finished, snapping out of her thoughts. It took her a couple of seconds, but she realized she had rambled, feeling a slight warmth in her cheeks. Blushing? Was she blushing? Huh.
Sipping her tea, she listened as he explained what he called Kei, cocking her head a little. So.... life energy in some was called Kei. Alright. She nodded, that would indeed explain it, her eyes lowering to his hand. She blinked, now that was an interesting trick. She saw the lines of energy grow stronger and pulse, sort of getting a dual vision thing for a second before the glow faded. Raising her eyes up to his, she felt herself smile, sitting up a little straighter. Psyharden... she could remember that word. "All energy flows, how we use it is what can make the difference. Like, I help spirits move on and in most cases reincarnate. For energy must flow, whether it remains the same or adjusts in some way. It makes sense that I would get a higher reading from you considering you have a higher output due to being able to use your own energy in such ways. Thats... oh what was the word... cool?" She bit her lip, still adjusting to common words and whatnot. "Sorry, I'm still getting used to how people talk. Hehe, please bear with me!" She gave an embarrassed smile, putting her hands together as if to beg, but she wasn't.

Maybe it was just that Seiji felt a little odd hearing all this. From what it sounded like, at least to Seiji, Sheryl and Ranka were personifications of life and death. Or rather, had ability over it. Guiding spirits into their next life, and helping them move to where ever it was they were moving. It sounded so much more serious and important than anything he'd ever done. Then again, Seiji had never been tasked with any sort of responsibility. He'd always been told that learn to control his kei was his responsibility.
"Strict, that's something I've plenty of experience dealing with. Though it helps with learning, teaches you discipline," he commented as she continued on. Looking up from his apple, he couldn't help but notice her blush and smiled. She seemed much more relaxed and comfortable around him today. On their first meeting, she seemed very stiff, or perhaps occupied with other things. Regardless, today he was learning all sorts of things about the twins. If they were here to learn about people, they were doing well so far. If she hadn't have said otherwise, Seiji wouldn't have noticed any difference. She smiled, conversed, and now even blushed.
Seiji smiled again, laughing lightly. Slang too. "If you say so. Although, I think having the ability in and of itself can be taxing at times. Constantly having to keep the flux of energy in control. It's something that can make you very worried. If I don't find an output one way or another, the Kei could easily build up and...well I guess overflow. Some Psyharden become nothing but shells in those cases. An explosion of energy, and a barely living being left behind. In my case, I have my Dite, as well as other methods to release Kei."
Oh that's right, the Dite was still in his pocket. He'd have to show her that as well otherwise it was just a meaningless term. Reaching into his pocket, Seiji fished for the gleaming white object. Finally grasping it, he pulled it loose and set it down on the centre of the table. He took another few bites of his apple before saying anything further.
"My Dite. To put it simply, it's a modified weapon specifically for Psyharden. We can force our Kei through it to change and manipulate the Dite. Not only does it discharge Kei, but can also be a pretty powerful thing. Every Dite is unique, and suits it's weilder best. I've seen hammers, staves, but mine is a katana with a couple secrets," Seiji announced proudly. "It was a parting gift, from my teachers." Glancing to the Dite once more, and then back to Sheryl he took another bite from his red fruit, almost finished with it.

It hadn't quite occurred to Sheryl that maybe she was overloading him with info, or that she shouldn't be saying all of what she was. Considering she wasn't feeling any backlash from her seal, she supposed that she was fine for now. Or maybe the Elders were playing tricks again. Ignoring that for now, she chewed happily on her pancakes, listening to him, giving a light shrug to his comment on strictness.
Though, her brows soon furrowed as she thought further over his powers. Swallowing, she pursed her lips a little, seeming a bit troubled. "That would put a damper on things." She commented, blinking when he said Dite. Obviously she was confused, wondering what he was talking about. It must help him considering the context it was spoken in.
Ah.... so it was a weapon... ok. Her eyes lowered to what he placed on the table, tilting her head slightly, blue eyes looking over the gleaming white material. To see him so proud, it caused her to giggle and smile, chewing on another piece of pancake before swallowing. "You are lucky. To have people who cared for you so. I'm sure you'll make them proud here." Honestly, she didn't really understand the feelings of attachment that living beings had. She had never experienced them herself outside of sibling attachment. Still, her expression was warm, suddenly getting a thought.
"Hey um...If you really need me to, I could try draining some of your energy in a pinch. I never advise this since usually this can cause a problem, but if you really need it I don't mind." She offered, not sure if it would work since if the two energy types were different, then she probably couldn't do much. But kei sounded like the life energy she could control so hopefully there would be no problem. After all, she had tugged at it earlier right?

"Cared for me, raised me. Though sometimes I wonder why. They had no real obligation to help me at all. It would have been quicker to simply slay me. Then again, in I guess what would be my hometown, Psyharden are looked upon with envy rather than fear or neglect. In truth I haven't seen them in quite some time. It's been a couple years since I left, simply travelling from place to place. Just my way of life I guess."
Seiji took a few breaths, feeling like he was talking too much. A few things crossed his mind, but none were of importance. The main thing he was thinking on now was her offer. He had control of his kei fairly well now. Asides from moments where he had no opportunity to use any kei, he was fine. Though now being at a school, it was likely he would have plenty of time. Even just using kei on his katana for a short exercise session would be perfect. Especially with all the free time he had now.
"I think....for the most part I'll be fine. I've never had anyone experiment with my Kei before. Fighting or sparring another Psyharden is one thing, but to have it drained is another. But I'll keep it in mind. If the need should ever arise, I'll know where to go," Seiji responded by smiling and then finishing with his apple.
He had to wonder what sort of results that would pose. He'd used vast amounts of Kei before, leaving him almost entirely with a lack of energy. But his Kei always restored. Would it be the same sort of effect if she drained him? In truth, there would be only one way to find out, but Seiji wasn't sure if he wanted to experiment with that just yet.

As her hand graced his a shiver travelled through him, certainly not due to the cold night. His silvery hair waved slightly in the breeze as he nodded in acceptance, the fae quickly accepting his role and relationship with the woman before him.
As her fingers brushed his chin Jareth felt his skin tingle, the touch so soft it tickled him as it swept upwards. Bringing his head up he subconciously followed her retreating hand, like a favoured pet might follow a master. Licking his pale lips he replied in a hushed tone, "A faes heart is large my Lady, we can love a vast number of things. Right now i would do almost anything to be with you, I cannot hide that from you. However-" he paused briefly, eyes darting up to hers to judge her reaction before he continued, "I do not know how long it would be before I grew bored, or restless...I would not wish to do you a dishonour by not making that fact perfectly clear." his eyes, which were normally so playful and childish despite their wild look were now serious, sombre and aged. Despite being young for a fae they contained the air of wisdom that might accompany an ancient human. "I have made my choice clear...would you follow it, knowing and understanding what i have said?" he asked finally, his head tilting to one side sharply, the angle far too sharp for any human neck to achieve.

It was a relief to see him accept it so easily, her expression remaining soft though she held a bit of laughter in her eyes as his head followed her hands escape. Tilting her head in the slightest, she listened, feeling as if time were tugging at her ankles. Oh the ages past.... She raised a slight eyebrow, almost anything? Then he is sincere. Remaining attentive, she noticed the look in his eyes, only proving to show that he was serious. All games were aside. Her hair spilled down one shoulder, framing the side of her face, lowering her eyes towards the ground for a moment as he asked her his question. Her features almost seemed neutral, taking a moment to think before raising her gaze to his.
"If you should grow restless, you are free to leave me. I would not blame you for that." She started softly, reaffirming herself in her decision. "I will follow. Just know, if something happens with the Elders, I will distance myself from you. I do not want you to end up involved should they try something." She answered, knowing full well what they were capable of. She just hoped he understood it wasn't because she didn't hold faith in his abilities. The Elders were simply extremely powerful. She gave him a small smile, touching a hand to his cheek despite the impossible angle.

That made her blink, she supposed that would be something to think about. "Well, you are respectful, you aren't obnoxious, you have the will and want to learn from what I can tell, and you don't seem like you'd react badly to criticism. You are a pleasant individual." She commented, frowning a little when he said he hadn't seen them for a while. "I'd think it's good to travel. Get to see stuff, experience things. I've always liked it. Not sure how Ranka feels about it." She shrugged a little, finishing up her pancake.
Yeah... that was a good point.... There had been no signs of affection from the Elders. They were all stiff old farts. Wow... maybe her's was the life that was unfulfilled. She lowered her eyes to her tea at that thought, sipping it slowly. That was a downer. Inwardly she shook it off, only appearing to raise her eyes as he began to speak again. She nodded in understanding, giving a small smile. "Sure thing." She glanced up to the clock and sighed heavily. She had about ten minutes till class.
Standing up, she gathered her dishes and turned her blue eyes to him. "I gotta go for now. I'll see you later mayhaps. Good luck finding your classes." She smiled softly and then took her dishes in, heading out of the cafeteria towards the second building, running upstairs just in time for class. She gave the teacher a sweet smile, noticing the grimace. ohhhhhh this would be interesting....
