After the knot was finished, Ken stood up, putting his book back into his pocket. He twirled the rope lazily around, then stood a few feet away from the tree, before beginning a slow, controlled routine involving the knots.

"You can do jutsu, too?" Ken said casually, whipping the knot around in a tight circle before wrapping it around his arm. He untangled himself and rolled the improvised meteor hammer up, and placed it inside his jacket.
"Cool." he said, looking up at a pole. "Do I have to do it at first, or do I get a grace period to give it a try, see what the course is like?" he asked, beginning to climb up to one.

Sosay laughed her sweet innocent laugh, then smiled at Aoi. "It's okay! You don't have to be afraid or embarrassed about just becoming a genin! Heck, I've only been a chunnin for about a month now and it's kinda tough." she stated, still flashing her smile. Sosay then reached into the pouch on located on the left backside of her waist, pulling out a scroll and reading it through. "Okay.. I think we'll start with this one., she paused as she took a deep breath. "I want you to perform the seal of the tiger and focus your chakra at the tip of your index finger, making sure you're using your fire elemental chakra. This is Ichi (fire release: one). It's a good way of learning how to focus your elemental chakra to a certain spot. You can poke my hand to see if it worked." she explained, lowering the scroll and looking up at Aoi.

Description: The basic building block of a great many techniques down the line, this is presumably the very same skill that began the study of Katons. Molding their chakra through a simple seal of any choice, the user is able to focus it onto the tip of their index finger in the form of heat. With this, they can cut through things such as glass and rope with some difficulty. However, at this stage, control of one’s chakra is so minimal that this technique can only be used by one finger and essentially has no combat use.

xxxxxxxxxxCraig let his dark eyes roam the list for the hand signs, mind and eyes going over them again and again until it became embedded into his head before he slowly introduced his hands into performing them. At first he was fumbling and had to pause at intervals to remember the next move but he was making progress each time. It wasn't long until he began to get through without pausing or fumbling too badly and then he was beginning to run through it all smoothely, now working on getting it faster, more efficient. After over half an hour of concentrating, Craig found himself perfectly able to get through the hand signs without a hitch.

Sosay stopped everything she was doing as an odd feeling swept over her. She looked around wondering what was causing this uneasy feeling. "Something bad is going to happen." she quietly muttered, fear in her voice. Sosay looked over at the little monkey and yelled out at him, knowing fully that it would know where Coren was. "Hey you. Little monkey. Where is Coren-sama?!". Even though she yelled out, fear was still hinted in her voice.

xxxxxxxxxxCraig's training was broken as the erthe shook and a massive roar filled the village. He looked up at the tower and felt his heart stop. Where was Ruby? Was she safe? "Ruby!" He yelled in pstrangled panic, racing forward for the tower, his desire to protect his little sister stronger than his want to protect his own hide.

Ken had just started to climb the pillar when the rumble happened. "s**t." he said, looking over at the Raikage tower. That was the source. He saw three people run out of the training field and debated following...he headed out anyways. Just to scout it out, at the very least.
