Akita peeked down at her young again with a soft and motherly smile, taking notice of the bright blue baby that Kain had pointed out. "Wolfram.." She looked back and Kain and nodded, "I approve!" She looked over them again, reaching out to carefully stroke the tail of the child who had crimson red hair like her own, "I'd like to.. call this one Diedrick." She turned back to Kain almost shyly as she waited to see if he'd approve or not. It was one of the names she herself had liked when pondering names for the little ones.
"Akita... has given birth..?" Lucus looked like he was in utter shock, "Is she alright? Was she at home when it happened? How many?" He was quite releaved now that Akita hadn't found out about everything yet. "Fine fine as you wish! You can be there to make sure the story is the truth. And yes you may continue to check on Vempyremon. She seems quite energetic at the moment."

Kain actually managed to muster a smile. Usually he kept his smiles to himself and did everything he could to hide them. "You dont have to ask me for approval." He continued to smile and nodded his head very faintly. He was more excited to see when they first opened their eyes. But right now, more of his worry was leaning towards the one who was not present in the group right now. It caused him to stop smiling. Raising his hand, he used it to bring over to Akita's leg and rub it very soothingly.
If there was a moment in time Lucus would stop talking so Cameron could answer his questions, he would gladly answer them. So he waited, and waited for the time in the day that Lucus would quiet himself. On the other side of the phone, Vempyremon could be heard screaming, "WHAT?!" along with some other words that sounded mumbled because of her distance away from the phone. "I have not checked up on them in two days, as I have been caring for the ill one in their litter. But there is six. ...and I did not ask for permission to be there. I will be there." With that, Cameron hung up and turned to both Abel and the newborn, wondering if he should see if it's safe to take it back to see what happens, or wait a while longer and keep it.

A shiver went up Akita's spine, the rubbing on her leg felt quite relaxing. "So then.. two have named so far. Wolfram and Deidrick. That leaves 3 here and.." Akita's ears drooped a bit, "And the one that was taken away.. I really home it is alright.." She hung her head a bit, still unable to stop the feeling that it was her fault the child was in that condition. Every litter had it's runt though right?
"One is ill..?" Lucus didn't even have time to respond to the last bit before he was hung up on. He turned to face Vempyremon, holding out the phone. "There are six of them.. One is ill. It is with Cameron at the moment.." He wanted badly to go see them, but he knew no good would come of him doing so.

The worry didnt feel like it was going away by just sitting there, and Kain was anxious. He had the urge to bond, but at the same time, he wanted to wait by the door in case Cameron came by. Standing up, Kain decided to try and pick up one. It was as hard as choosing the cutest puppy from a box to adopt. Depending on the person's definition of 'cute'. There was one in particular that caught Kain's eye. It was the one trying to kick and slap its other siblings away to get close to Akita's tail for warmth. Unhesitatingly, Kain picked that one up so very carefully and held it close. "I am going to wait..." And by waiting, he meant to wait for Cameron. With that, he left the room with the little one and headed downstairs.
Coincidentally, Vempyremon wanted to see them as well, but probably not as much as Lucus. She had an ongoing problem with change. 'Change' meaning the Kain not chasing... Vempyremon shook her head. She got what was coming for her all along and she should have been mad at him. "I want to see them...Let's go see them. Who cares if Kain doesnt like it. Akita would like your company." It was hard to focus now with her mind occupied by maybe or maybe not having Kain's seventh child. Depending on how her body protects her from the trauma.

The sight of Kain and the baby was a heartwarming sight to Akita. She'd become a mother, and the children would have a father who accepted them. Akita nodded in response to Kain's words, "I won't go very far." She really didn't intend to move. Changing her position again she wrapped her tail around the four babies remaining at her side. "Your father and two siblings will be back soon my loves." She cooed at them.
Lucus frowned a bit, "I expect to lose a few teeth during the span of this visit I assure you. Kain is not going to be happy after me moving Akita just like I am not pleased with what he did to you but as you wish.." He fastened the last few buttons on his coat which he had undone, it was easier especially when he had nothing important to do, to just have the last few buttons undone it gave him more moving room. "Do you need anything before we leave?"

Downstairs, Kain held the child and eventually got to the downstairs couch to sit down on it. It was the closest seat to the door. Plus it was comfy. Kain was very family orientated and already felt at peace sitting even with just this one alone. Already, he was telling himself he'd do anything to keep him safe; all six, hoping that...that the sixth one survives from the way Cameron was talking. Kain held the child up eye-height and could have sworn he saw him open an eye for a split second. Kain's smile returned and he nuzzled his nose against the baby's. He already had a name in mind for it.
Vempyremon shook her head again. She just wanted to see them with Lucus. Besides, he knew Akita first for many years before Kain. "I dont need anything. I...dont." She turned her head towards the nearest hallway where Lance was standing, and obviously eavesdropping on the conversation. As quiet as he was, he wasnt noticed until now. "Do you want to go, Lan-?", "No." Lance quickly interrupted. There was really something about him that made him dislike children, or made him jealous, or so it seemed. Either way, he didnt care. "Lanie would like to go, perhaps." Lance remembered how intrigued she seemed when she mistook Akita's pregnancy for being fat. Maybe Lanie would be able to make some more friends other than himself.

Upstairs with the four little ones Akita began to tell them silly little childrens stories and such. Things she had done for Lucus, Lance and Devri when they they well all young. That whole time though she could really only watch from a far since the children were not her own. This time though they were and it excited her. She laid a soft kiss on each of them, "You will all grow up big and strong. And all of you will fly to the greatest heights."
Lucus turned to look at Lance quickly, waiting for a response from Lanie who was hiding just a bit behind Lance. "I.. I don't want to go without mister Lance.." Lanie finally chimed up shyly. Lucus shrugged. It just meant less people to look after for him. "If you change your mind then I'm sure you know where Akita and Kain live." Lucus took Vemp's hand into his own. "Come love. Lance has his reasons."

"I do..." Lance still knew where Akita lived when he had a last resort to go there so long ago. He still remember when Kain pummeled him to the ground like a rock on a piece of paper. He actually had no grudge against that, it was just...the children. He shudder, and thought it to be not fair to Lanie if he didnt go, because she wouldnt be able to see, but he didnt want to see. And he didnt know when he was going to go see. It was too depressing to see Akita going on with her own life when he was cooped up inside all the time, for fear of going outside into the public. "Royal highness". Royal hot-head is what he said he was. That's what his name should have been. He didnt blame Vempyremon for it; he continued to blame himself for it. Aside from being depressed with the world revolving around him so quickly, he had Lanie. For however long she'd decide to stay.
Well, whatever. Whatever the decision was, it was made. Lance was staying and he watched Lucus and Vempyremon off while he stood behind the corner of the connecting hallways without another word, and just looked down at the ground. Lanie was down there, and he couldnt help but look towards her. "...Why didnt you go?"

Lucus shook his head as he made his way to open the front door. "The hell..." He paused when the door swung open. Sitting only a few steps down was Devri, his back was to the house and he looked as if he was pouting. It'd been some time since Lucus had seen Devri. He'd thought of him off and on but that was about it. "Devri..?"
His ears gave a movement to catch the sound of Lucus' voice as he lifted his head and peered over his shoulder at his parents. "Hey.."
Lanie shook her head. "Lanie doesn't know that lady.. and the boogy man might be there.." Lanie shook her head. "I'm a horrible outcast! I'm a big scary cat!" She sighed and her shoulder dropped. At least here in the manor there was little to nothing that she'd have to run an hide from.

Vempyremon hid behind Lucus for the time being, but came to his side when Lucus said Devri's name. She didnt notice until then. Vempyremon clung to Lucus' arms and look at Devri curiously. She couldnt even recall when she saw him last, and wondered what he was doing here now. "Wh-...Devri? What's wrong? You're not over here very often." Vempyremon attempted to leave Lucus' side and step down the stairs to Devri. She didnt face him fully with her body, but looked at him with her head turned towards him. She waited for a response but gave up waiting for one and turned to hug Devri. The usual loving hug.
Oh, so that's all it was, Lance thought. He thought it was just because Lanie didnt want to leave his side. Lance rolled his eyes to himself and knelt down next to Lanie so he's eye height with her, or just about. "Well. While they're gone, how about we play hide 'n seek in this big place? Then, afterwards, I could bake us some cookies with marshmallows on them instead of chocolate chips?" Regardless of Lanie's answer, Lance decided to scoop her up off the ground and stand back up.

Lucus stood there quietly. He had no idea how to react to Devri being here at this point in time. Devri on the other hand got up and hugged Vempyremon back tightly. He'd missed his family, even Lance and Lucus with all the disagreements they had. "Mom.." He pet her back. It really had been ages since he'd seen his mother, "I've missed you so much.. Dad too even though he's the one who kicked me out. Hell.. even Lance and we're douches to one another." He didn't want to let his mother go yet. He didn't even know how he ended up here. All he did was leave for a walk, next thing he knew he was sitting on the steps outside his 'old home'.
Lanie clung to Lance and smiled when he scooped her up. "That sounds like fun!" The mention of cookies was enough to make her drool. "Mister Lance... Since I'm no good at being an outcast.. I can become just a normal commoner?" Her ears drooped a little bit, "Then people won't think I'm bad.. At least as a commoner it'll be easier.. Then instead of being a stupid old outcast.. I can maybe be 'that pretty girl over there'." That was a line she'd seen in one of the romance novel's she'd borrowed from Ooy.

Vempyremon was actually surprised Devri reacted the way he did. The most she expected was a cold shoulder. But what did she know? Seeing the way he, Lance and Lucus fought all the time, she was sure it would have changed him into a bad person. Or perhaps it did, and this is just his soft side. He could have killed hundreds of people by now and she'd never know it. She'd never know it because she was being too paranoid about it. "Devri...Are you alright?" It was really unusual to see him. HIM, Devri, upset. This only made Vempyremon cling to Devri even tighter, and looking up at Lucus to see if he'd doing anything. After all Vempyremon's been through recently, it felt great to be reunited with Devri, even for a little bit. "Oh...Devri, I miss you, too."
Lance decided to start carrying Lanie back to his room where they would start their game of hide 'n seek. One the way, he caught sight of the front door and Lucus just standing there. A few steps down, he even spotted Vempyremon...and a familiar blue hair color that he'd never forget. Lance decided to try and ignore it and continue to his room feeling a bit grumpy all of a sudden from catching a view of the outdoors. He shook a little bit, but tried not to let Lanie notice. He covered it up with a scowl and, of course, a response to her comment. "No one should base anyone by class, Lanie. If they do, they're just..." Lance struggled to find the word in his head, but his mind seems to be too clouded up right now to think. "It doesnt matter what you are, so long as you are who you are. Those who cannot accept you just because of your background, dont deserve to be on the same tile you stand on." Unsure if he even worded that correctly, Lance just continued and pet Lanie's head.

Devri gave his mother a soft smile, at least one of his two parents were paying attention to him. Lucus had turned his attention else where. "I've been pretty fine, of course being homeless isn't easy to get used to but.. I do a bit of work here and there and inns let me stay for awhile.. I still Kurai behind me every step of the way as well." He let his mother cling to her, somewhat wishing he could go back to being younger and smaller so she could scoop him up in her arms.
"I guess.." She poked Lance's hair, the red tips always catching her eye, "I don't want to leave the manor anyways.. I like it here!" She smiled at her own statement. She was quite content here having little to nothing to worry about and getting to spend all her time with Lance playing games or eating cookies. It didn't seem all that dull at times either for a place so large it could be it's own little world.

Vempyremon grimaced a little bit. She hated hearing that Devri was homeless, despite how much stress he gave her when everyone else fought and she never wanted to be apart of their fights. She was neutral anyway...and still not agreeing with his choice, but Devri was still her child. "Devri...What happened to the military?" Vempyremon's eyebrows furrowed and she found it a bit harder to breathe. She remembered him speaking about going in to the military when he and Lance argued over being an 'heir'. Vempyremon couldnt pick Devri up anymore. All she could do was give him hugs and kisses. She even continued her affection with a kiss on Devri's cheek and caressing the other with her hand. "Lucus...Cant we keep him inside just for a little bit?" She felt really bad for Devri. If he was let inside, maybe Lance, by luck, would be preoccupied with Lanie to ignore Devri.
"Then dont leave me..." Lance sniffed a little bit and cleared his throat to correct himself. "Then dont leave." Yeah, the thoughts of her real parents coming by to take her away still haunted him. His books usually tell him not to get too attached. That was mostly in drama stories where he'd read them. But it seemed true enough. It'd be hard to separate, but it was hard not to bond and care for Lanie. "Dont...leave me." Lance whispered to himself underneath his breath. Even if she heard by any chance, he was able to distract her by setting Lanie down on his bed upon arriving in his room.

Devri gave his mother a small smirk, "I've still been going. See I'm not exactly a twig like father." He gave a small attempt to flex as his mother showered him in affection that made him want to laugh. It would have been an embarrassing moment any other time but.. he missed her too much to let it bother him.
Lucus slowly turned to look at Vempyremon and.. his 'son'. "Why should I let him? He causes problems, he vanishes, he's stupid!" That last remark made Devri frown. He knew he could be a tad bit slow at times but he knew he wasn't full out stupid. Lucus shook his head, "Give me a good reason why I should let him back into my home and then I will think about it."
Lanie stared up at Lance as she was set down on the bed. She was smiling while she did so even if she took note of the slight change in mood Lance had. "I like it here with you mister Lance, I really do!" she giggled softly, her hands playing with the bottom of her soft blue dress. "Is the whole house fair game to hide in?"
