"This is an old hiding spot of mine. And Kaien's." She explained. "Even if they were on our trail, they would not find us that easily. This forest is surrounded by old magic. It confuses the senses of anyone else who tries to come in here who isn't me or Kaien, unless we bring them in ourselves."

Kaien's eyes hardened. "Ignore it." He told Terrion. "It's an illusion to make their quarry panic. They send out that feeling for about a 10 mile radius, and all Nightshades in that area can feel it. As soon as they panic or use their powers, the hunters will find them and annihalate them."

"So I cant shape-shift?" Zoe asked, hoping that she could. Ben nodded. "Then I wont do anything that will attract them." He smiled, elbowing Zoe. "Sure, whatever." She muttered.

Zoe looked aorund, and thought. She shifted to a small headgehog, and dug a tunnel under the sheilds, and shifted to a hawk, and shot into the sky, scouting. She looked around, and she could hear the humans faintly in the distance. She frowned, and swooped back down, shifting to badger, and went rhought her whole again, then filled it with Ben's help. He filled it with a thick layer of black liquid, which hardened, making it harder then steel.

Terrion kept watch. The feeling that someone seemed to be holding onto a small strip of her power increased. "They're getting closer. I can feel it. I'm afraid they're attracted to my phsycic powers. I've come to use them daily... It's... difficult to not use them." She surveyed the area, nervousness in each move. She bit her lip. Think human, think human, think human...

Think human. Think human. Terrion yawned, but didn't notice. Think human. Think human. Her eyelids began to drop. Think. She snapped back awake. Human. She slid to the ground, trying to keep her powers from being released. Think human. Think human. Her head slumped forward and she felt Elia's strong arms around her, keeping her safe. Think... She struggled to keep awake. Hu...man...

"Hush, Terr. Sleep. Rest now, we've got you." Terrion went to protest, but found that her mouth wouldn't open. Her eyelids fluttered and shut.

Darkness. Everywhere. Screams echoed and she heard someone shout.

"No! Zoe! Don't do it!" It sounded like Rogue and Ben's voices merged together. She opened her mouth to scream with them, but nothing came out. Something tugged on her arm. Laughter echoed around her. Aun's crackling laugh. She yanked away, but found herself held fast. She reached for her swords, but they weren't there. She fumbled for her slingshot, but it was gone as well. Rage surged within her and she pulled harder. Then the voices came. No, don't fight back, he'll hurt you. No! Don't listen! Fight! Kill him! Someone help me! Please, someone please rescue me! The third voice caught her attention. Terrion yanked harder, trying to get the the female voice that was calling for help, but as soon as she broke free and ran to the source, the only thing she found was a chair. Someone was sitting in it. It was Aun.

"Welcome back home, little Terrion, my child!" Then all went black.

Rogue was running. "Kaien! Nova!" She yelled but they weren't there. Why couldn't she used her powers dammit?! "Kaien?! Nova!!" She yelled again but she tripped and fell to her knees, tied down by shadows. Darkness was all around her. "Roux....Love....Don't struggle, it'll only get worse." She heard Aun's sick voice behind her ear, breathing down on her. She squeezed her eyes shut. "Why aren't they obeying me?! What the hell did you do?!" She snarled and felt Aun's smirk. "You need to give me something, Roux. And I will give you your powers back." "I don't need my powers!!" She yelled. "How about your family...?" Rogue gave an urk. "Wh-what?!" "What if I...." Aun flicked his wrist and her parents appeared. "Were to give them life again??" Rogue's eyes overflowed with tears. "I...I..."

Zoe laid there for an hour, sobbing ad thinking. SHe sighed, her anger taking her over. The tears stopped, as did her thoughts. She was driven by anger. "I hate this." She muttered. Only one of her hsapes wasnt part of her becoming a Nightshade. The dragon. She shook with anger, and grew, scaled becoming her skin, a tail and wings spourted, and her neck became long. Her body didnt fit the room. She swumg her head upwards, all her strength coming from anger. A large hole appeared above her, and she climbed out it, when she realized she was in her least favorite room. Her Fathers old room. She screamed in horror, looking out the window. She changed to human, and punched the window out, her nuckels bleeding. Outsdie the window was seven nuses, tied to a large oak tree. She jumped out the window, only to be caught in the arms of Aun. "Hello granddaughter, I didnt think you would be commiting suicide after seeing that." He smiled. Zoe screamed, jumping out of his cold arms. He smiled, and this time it wasnt warm, it was cold. "Come here young one, grandpa wants to give you a hug." He said, holding open his arms. "Ill give you something to hug." She said through clenched teeth. She ran forward, and punched his face, and swiped her leg under his feet, making him fall to the ground. She looked up at the nuses. They were full. Her mom, dad, Ben, Terrion, Rogue, Nova, Elia. She screamed, and ran over to them. She climbed the tree, and pulled them up , but it was too late. Their faces were going purple. She screamed, tears flowing. A voice come inside her head. "I can bring them back for one small request. Your powerful Zoe. No one has the amamzing power of yours. I just want your soul." THe voice made a cold shiver go down her spine. She Pulled Ben up, and craddled him in her arms, jumping off the branch. She took the others off, and set them peacefully on the ground, when another voice come from inside. It was Rogue's voice, mixed with Terrion's. "DONT LISTEN ZOE! THATS NOT US!" The voice came, and zoe looked at the faces again. They changed to people she didnt know. The dropped the one in her arms, and stomped over to the now standing Aun. "Made you decision?" He asked. "Yeah, I have. See this?" she asked, holding up the hand she did the Vow on. "I Vowed to take away your last breath. And I am going to. You, me right here, right now. No powers at all, no weapons. Were going to settle this." She fumed, shaking with anger. "And if you win..." He trailed off. "I get everything back. My powers, my friends and family. You will bring my parenst back." She fumed. "And if I win..." He trailed off again, this time smiling coldly. "You get my soul, but you set everyone free, got it?" She said through clenched theeth. "Of course." He smiled. "Lets begin. First part of your training." He smiled, and postitioned himself to jump. "Lets begin. Your last lesson on getting your a** kicked." She smirked, going into the same posistion. Aun dived forward, and she flipped in the spot, kicking his face. "Smart." He muttered, shaking it off. Zoe ran, she could feel the power of a cheetah in her, but she couldnt become one. She jumped up the tree, sticking her toes in different spots and she jumped. "Come now Aun. You know you can beat me." She taunted. Aun sighed, and the nuses moved like snakes, tieing around her wrists and ankles. On grabbed her neck, and yanked her of the branch.

Zoe jumped forward, scmreaming and sobbing. Eve's scream woke her form the nightmare. She looked aournd. "Oh no!" She whispered, shaking Ben rapidly. "Ben! BENYOU TWIT WAKE UP!" She yelled, and she shook awake, yawning. "Sleep good?" She asked sarcastically, pulling him to his feet. "Yes, thnaks for asking." He muttered. "Eve, whats wrong?" She asked. Another wave of power hit. Zoe shook her head, trying to shake it as she shape-shifted. She shifted to a lion, and roared loudly. Ben looked around, and the black liquid he used to fill the hoel with, he made more, shaping it to a large bow, and a quiver of arrows. They dried instantly. "Come on you guys, we have to go, NOW!" He shouted as another wave of power hit. Zoe roared again, growing desparate fro them to wake.
