"Uh...Fluffs? I'm sorry. I really have no idea what you're talking about.

"Excuse me," he said, looking at the others. "This person is looking for fluffs. Has anyone seen any fluffs?"

He looked at Gyp again. "Why do you need a fluff?"

"Payment...for...services?" the elder asked. "Oh..."

Hmm. Perhaps these people weren't the sort he thought they were. But if that was true, they possibly needed to rethink their clientele. "Ah. Here we are," he said they reached the shrine. "Saori! Deni! Come quickly!"
Two youngish looking girls in white robes came running out.

"Yes, Elder?"

"Gather your things. This man has a companion who is seriously injured. You must go with him."

"Yes Elder!" They both ran back out of the room.

"Where exactly is this companion of yours?" he asked Basti.

"Yes," Des said, lifting an eyebrow. "Where I'm from, we always choose the blind men who are chained to young boys to carry the injured. I don't care much whether she appreciates my help anyway. I'm not doing this to receive appreciation."

"Waaaah!?" Angela looked around. Her environment had just radically changed. She looked at Zen, who was shouting at her. And calling her 'woman.' This was definitely his fault. Somehow.

And then, out of no where, he splashed water on her!

"You brought me here!?" she asked. "What the hell does that mean? Dammit, exactly how is this supposed to help the situation?" She glared at him and then placed both hands on his shoulder and shoved him off the pier.

A serene look crossed her face. Now that had helped her feel better. She dangled her feet in the water calmly and smiled.

"I have no idea where the crazy fluffs went to." Zen told the messenger, whom he considered smacking. Lucky for him he was holding Angela.

In the beach memory he had taken Angela to through their link, she shoved him in the water! He went splat, right into the ocean before even getting to reply to her spazzing out.
"Why don't you come down here?" Zen grabbed onto her leg, and yanked her off the pier too. "And I'll tell you!"

Toshi laughed slightly at this, shaking his head, which was a rare event. "And where I am from, this young lady would already be on the road by now. Even blind, I am not helpless, and am perfectly capable of carrying the injured, which, it seems, you are not."

Des grinned. "And yet here you are arguing and doing nothing. Your actions belie your words, Toshi," he said. "I'm going to carry you now Cheeva," Des said softly. He put his arms under her as gently as he could and gently hoisted her up.

"I'm heading for the road," he called to the others. "Come when you're ready but we need to get Cheeva to a healer."

Toshi sighed, yet kept quiet. Hopefully he wouldn't have to deal with these people for very long. So far, the only two men who seemed capable of taking control were both idiots beyond compare. Basti had only arrived recently, and it seemed Gyp was in the same position as him. As for Inutai, he was too young. The two young girls, Angela and Cheeva, were incapacitated at the moment, it seemed. This was most certainly going to be a long journey.

Without a word, Toshi followed after Des, and Inutai started along as well.

"This used to be the Great Bridge to the Priory in my hometown. That's Goddess Falls back there." He waved in the mist, enjoying the wind and her new attitude.
In real life, he could feel his face blushing from the awkwardness of their position, and felt highly embarrassed.
"Here fluffy fluffy!" Zen walked around to hide his face, and try to help Gyp who fell comically.

"Yes you can, just remember a place... Maybe you can figure out how to control this strange power of yours." Zen tried to sound, as dignified as one could in that pose.

Cheeva ground her teeth silently. They were fighting over her like a piece dressed up meat. No matter what world, it seemed men were the same. Dueling courtship, fabulous. Toshi was...tolerable, Des was a dolt. She wasn't particularly interested in either of them.
But she definitely knew who she prferred to carry her. And it was the immortal fool who...what was he doing?!
Cheeva grunted as he slipped his hands under her body."N..." Suddenly Des had lifted her into his arms. She screamed as his hands pressed against the burned flesh. She writhed weakly, for a moment, the pain lancing across her chest. It was like iron bands squeezing the breath out of her. She fell limp across Des' arms finally, blissfully, unconscious.

"Um, thank you. Yeah, I can fly." Basti had to admit, this was a little weird. People were more or less used to people like him back home, and furtive glances were the most he got when he traveled. But the people here, and especially these two girls...
Basti glanced down at their request to touch his wings, then looked quickly back up so they hopefully couldn't see him blush. Why was he doing that so much lately, anyway?
"Ah, yeah, sure." He relaxed his wings a bit so they weren't quite so difficult for the shorter girls to reach. Not that they weren't particularly high off the ground, but a little distance between two people never hurt, right?
