Electric Kool-Aid

Haucon rolled his eyes but held his ground as the woman was ill. He'd been covered in enough disgusting substances throughout his career in the stables. He leaned down again and held her upright to prevent her from collapsing. "I'm just trying to help." he said quietly and looked up at Aidan with a raised eyebrow. "What do we do?" he asked her.

"Huh?" Shizuru said unintelligently when Haucon stood her upright. She also kicked him in response until she heard his words. Luckily, she caught them and understood them. Her speech was slurred. "What's up? Ahahaha... so many drunkards..."

triggerperfect,

Aidan winced as she watched the poor woman, but became a little annoyed when she kicked Haucon. Sighing, she responded, "We'll take her back to my place. I have something that will sober her up fairly quickly." She looked apologetically up into Haucon's face, and said, "If you wouldn't mind supporting her, I'll guide the horses. Thank the gods we're not too far from the shop..." Smiling empathetically, Aidan took hold of the two horses reins and began to lead the way.

OOC neutral |Oh no! Short post! Oh, well. And, I'm really sorry for taking so long to respond. Holidays make me crazy! XP||

((I hope they fix the order of the posts after the problem is resolved...))

((HHAHAHA FAIL Mine's being weird too)) Haucon nodded to Aidan. "What's her name do you know?" he asked while hoisting the young woman more upright and looping her arm around his shoulder to support her. He had to stoop down a bit to keep from just yanking her off her feet and upright but it worked. He began to hobble after Aidan, proud of her for showing no fear of the horses and leading them. He made a mental note to reinforce the behavior by making sure that she didn't have a bad experience now, and by giving praise at an appropriate moment.

((Yay! Posties fixed!

"Gehh...." Shizuru grumbled as Haucon helped her up and walked her toward who knows what. She didn't put up any more resistance.

triggerperfect,

Aidan reached up behind her to pat Farran's nose. He nuzzled up against her small hand, and she rubbed his snout softly. The streets were becoming more and more crowded the farther into the city they ventured, and Aidan noticed that Shizuru wasn't the only one hopelessly drunk. In answer to Haucon's question, Aidan said "Her name is doctor Shizuru Watanabe. She runs a well-used clinic closer to the center of the city than my shop. She often uses prescribes my products to her patients." Aidan smiled a little as she watched Haucon support the young doctor. They were soon approaching the doors to her shop, and Aidan spoke once more. "I have a mixture that should clear her head well enough to provide her a safe trip home."

Haucon glanced up at Aidan really glad that she was making friends with Farran. It seemed like a good sign to him that the two trusted each other. He looked at the woman who he supported and shifted her weight a little more as they approached Aidan's shop. "Alright Dr. Watanabe. Looks like we're here. " he said helping her up the stairs.

He turned to Aidan and laughed. "It's like that saying 'Who watches the watchers?' You know? Who doctors the doctor? Apparently the apothecary..." he said with a smile.

((Hmm, so it seems that the majority of the roleplayers have busy or enable to get regular internet access. I suppose that's fine.. since we haven't moved too far...

So, EKA andtrigger, you can take your time.))

triggerperfect,

When they arrived at the shop, Aidan moved quickley to tie the horses to a post adjacent to her shop's entrance. Hurrying up the steps behind Haucon, the elf hastily unlocked the doors, and pushed them open to allow the other two admittance. She laughed at the Stable Master's expression. "I think it's more just those who have better judgement at a particular moment." When they had entered the shop Aidan closed the doors and locked them nervously behind her. It was far too late for any customers to visit, anyway. "Go ahead and set her on the ladder," She said, moving quickly to gather the needed supplies. From her room behind the curtain, she spoke loudly, "To many in smaller towns, the word 'apothecary' and 'doctor' are synonymous." She moved back into the main room with a bottle of a dark, powdered substance in her hands. "Many people cannot afford to visit a doctor, so they go the local Apothecary instead."

Haucon smiled in appreciation at Aidan's lack of fear with the horses. He thanked her for opening the door and followed her instructions, helping the doctor sit on the ladder and then stepping back so as to stay out of the way. He nodded and smiled at her comment about judgment. He nodded at her explanation about doctors and apothecarys. "Well I'd certainly trust you, 'cause at least you look like you know what you're doing." he said with a smile. "And I feel as though you have the knowledge to back up that image." he added.

((Fyi: I'm going to be overseas for a month starting next week Wednesday...not sure what you all want to do about that, since I probably won't have very regular access to internet...))

((Oh, enjoy your trip!

It shouldn't be too much of a problem considering the amount of activity right now. If it does pick up, we can fill you in.))

((Sorry I was gone for so long. I'm gonna play like Shane passed out for some reason and Lyris attempted to give chase after Lenore, but was unsuccessful.))

"Gah", Shane said as he woke up from the bar floor. "What happened? Lyris? Are you there?" "Probably not," he thought, "but I did miss the swordplay tournament. How long was I out?" A quick glance at the window told him all he needed to know. "Dammit! I was out for 5 hours?!?" he shouted at nothing, as his bar was empty. He mumbled incoherently as he got to his feet and staggered out the door.

Lyris was running down the road, trying to find his quarry. "Crap, I probably lost her in the shuffle and trampling. Damn the tournament, I wasn't going to partake in it anyway, not when I've found the demon I'm hunting for." he thought as he turned a corner. Cursing his hesitation at the bar, he rushed down the alley and disappeared into the shadows.

SHRAVRA the metalsmith
A good day's fun. A night for evil.

xxxShravra wandered back into his smithy with Forest close behind him. She had decided to stay with him for now, even to the point of sleeping at his for the night. She had followed him round all the various stalls and events and had surprised him by coming a close second in quite a few events. He himself had won the sword-fighting, mostly due to the favourite not showing up, the metalworking, obviously, and put up a spectacular fight against the hooded archer arrow for arrow until he had proved himself by hitting a bullseye while blindfolded. Shravra gracefully declined to match that shot giving the hooded figure the gold trophy while claiming the silver for himself.
xxxIt was not until he was sitting down in front of the forge and forest upstairs preparing for bed that he felt the strange presence lingering at the door. Stepping up he lifted his staff from the rack on the wall and moved to the door. The outside was empty and getting dark quickly. That uneasy feeling was stronger at the door and set the hairs of his neck on end. A careful look around soon located a small cube hidden on the top of the door frame slotted into the stone. It was from the box that the presence came from.
xxxA snarling bark rumbled from the alley next to the store before Fang bounded past Shravra and up the stairs to be with Forest. Sighing softly he closed the door and settled down to sleep at the forge.
((Sorry that I left this place but life got me hard.))
