Keith listened quietly, then he nodded. My mother died of birthing problems when I was ten. She and my would be little sister didn't make it. I know how hard it is. Keith look her hand and patted it reassuringly, a kind smile on his tanned face. Just pray. It helps.

" Thank you. You really are a sweet guy" Emily replied smiling faintly.
What Emily had said was true. Most of the guys back home weren't as sweet as Keith was. But that was something she wasn't going to admit. Instead Emily stood up on her toes and kissed him on the cheek as a thank you.

Emily grinned when he averted his eyes. She had seen the faint blush and felt warmth seep into her heart. Emily knew she was starting to develop feelings towards Keith and she had recently tried to hide them. Yet that had proved to be fruitless since he worked here and she was seeing him.
" Well.....um...I guess this is good-bye till tomorrow then?" Emily questioned.

Keith shook his head and looked back at her, placing his hat on his head again. Shannon suggested that I stayed here during the weekdays, it'd be easier than me riding over early in the mornings.

" Makes sense" Emily replied pulling her hair back into the ponytail again.
She had heard no sound from Apollo and turned briefly to see him sleeping contently. Emily couldn't help but chuckle at the scene.

When Xavier finished eating, he looked around and realized he probably wouldn't be able to find a cabin. He was becoming very angry, and felt a strong need to attack and or break something... or someone. He walked around the mess hall cursing loudly in both English and Spanish. Surprisingly, he had a... colorful vocabulary.
"Yeah, thats always a good thing. I guess. Heh."
Since Kahlilia didn't have any siblings, she was oblivious to the feeling. But, she thought, her friends had always been the substitutes. Friends are the siblings your parents forgot to give you, a handwritten sticky note in her room back at home told her. She remembered in grade school, her dear friend had wrote it down as neatly as she possibly could, given that her handwriting was so messy and huge back then.
What had happened to her?
Oh well. Kahlilia shook the thought from her head.
"D'you know where he is? Your brother?" Kahlilia asked, trying to hide the fact that she had spaced out.

Nanina sat up when Xavier started cursing. Climbing to her knee's, she peeked over the table at him, watching him pace with slight confusion.
He nodded and then stepped back, giving a low whistle. B turned away from the sleeping Apollo and cantered over to him. I was just about to head back to my ranch, care to join me? Keith asked, half hoping she'd agree, but understanding if she didn't.

" I'd love to" Emily replied smiling and patted his shoulder before turning her attention onto the dozing Apollo.
Without disturbing him, she carefully walked in front of him and rubbed his forehead. Apollo awoke and snorted out a hello to Emily. She then grabbed the tack and began tacking the now re-energized Apollo up.

"I," said Esmeralda lightly, "have absolutely no idea. He was in the barn last I saw him, but that was a while ago. Then again, he was working with that horse - the crazy big black one. So it's possible he's still there."
She grinned. "He's possibly one of the sweetest guys I know. If you want to blank Mr. Smooth out of your mind, I could introduce you." Then she brightened, although she'd already been fairly bright. "In fact, that's a great idea!" She grabbed Kahlilia's hand. "Come on down to the barn with me! We'll see if he's there."

When he finally did, he looked around again. He saw Nanina, and returned the startled and confused look.
"What the f--- are you doing here?" He was still reeling from his seemingly pointless anger, but he didn't realize it just yet.
"Oh, Phoenix? I've heard stories about him." She nodded as though to prove her point and smiled a little. Her green eyes shone with curiousity at first, then happiness, then slight timidness, like how a person acted when they were standing infront of a crush. However, she obediently followed Esmeralda, smiling and laughing.

Esmeralda shrugged. "Yeah, him," she said. She poked her head into the barn. "Nope, not here," she said, frowning. Turning around, she spotted her brother in the paddock with the big stallion, who seemed to be inspecting him. "Oh, there he is. Come on," she urged Kahlilia with a smile as she trotted down towards the barn.
Roman patted Phoenix's withers cautiously and waited for the horse to lower his big head before undoing the halter and walking away. He noticed his sister walking with another girl, down towards him. He lifted one hand in a slight wave, smiling.

Swinging into the saddle, keith waited for Emily, an easy smile on his lips. The ride'll take a bit. I'm a few miles up river. He warned, tipping the brim of his hat over to shade his eyes.
Erm. . . Nanina stood quickly, the empty bowel in her hands. Eating. She shifted on her feet then realized that he probably knew she was feeling nervous, so she arched an eyebrow and rested one hand on her hip. And what are you doing here, besides showing the walls your very expansive vocabulary? Nanina's voice was filled with a harsh sarcasm.

"Hi," Kahlilia said to Roman, returning his smile and twirling a loose strand of brown hair. "My name is Kahlilia. Your sister wanted me to meet you." Right after she said that, she blushed and gave an apologetic smile. She looked up at the huge black horse he was attending to. The horse looked slightly intimidating, in her view at least.
Xavier glared at her. "Ha ha, real funny." He didn't see that she was nervous at first, and if he had, he would have said something. He returned the hand-on-hip look and smirked a little.
