Callista smiled. "Yes. We use them to guard us as we sleep. So we have to unravel them whe we wake up or we'll be burnt too."

Callista focused. "It's the motions that you do that build the weave." She demonstrated by starting off with the beginning of the safeguard. "This is the beginning of the fire one. I usually do it a lot faster, so that people don't catch it, but when you're learning, it's good to go slow."

Callista undid the pattern and started again. "Ok, We start with these symbols." She slowly did several sets of simple symbols.

Valzar shifted slightly as he felt the are around them shift, but he continued working to copy the designs she was creating, "Like this?"
