The orc commander charges Jovain screaming "Death to the enemy of Gruumsh!!" he swings his sword which looks like a giant 4 1/2 foot long butcher knife. the attack hits. Jovain take 14 damage.

Jovain will move away from the Orc Commander and away from combat into the edge of the forest. He calls out to his friends, "I could really use some help with Mr. Big & Ugly over here!"

With a flick of his wrist and wiggle of his finger, Jovain speaks the elven words "Templa pilini!"

Suddenly, four Magic Missiles streak away from Jovain's fingertips striking the Orc Commander squarely in the chest with their firey force.

Magic Missile Damage: 4d4 + 12 =

OOC: I assume we are to all post, then the DM is resolving our actions in order of our initiative. If I am doing it wrong, or should have waited to post please let me know so that I can do it correctly next round.

DM NOTE: The Orc Commander will likely be entitled to an attack of opportunity as I move out a threatened square, but not when I cast my spell after I have moved.

MOVEMENT: Also I will not move into or near other threatened squares, but will actually move away from the combat areas so I can cast my spell without interference from others. I will continue to keep my sword in my hand so I threaten the squares around me.

WHY EXTRA SPELL DAMAGE: My spell magic missile is +3 damage per missile. (+1 normal and +2 for Spell Specialization feat). That grants four magic missiles (4d4) with an additional damage bonus of +12. Total = 4d4+12

10% chance of arcane spell failure for wearing armor is rolled in the post below to see if my spell fizzles.

I was afraid to edit a post containing a dice roll because it might reroll the dice and look like I was cheating.

Can a post with a dice roll be edited? How do you do this?

you are correct on the attack of opportrunity so here goes nothing.
damn he misses and by being hit by the magic missle his eyes start to glow red and lets out a scream of pain and rage.

two orcs provide support with the commander and fire two arrows one at jovian and the other at Ragnus.

Ragnus whats your AC again?
and the arrow misses Jovain

((Jovian put up some dancing lights that may be visible to Swifty. In all honesty, this is your call Warblademonk, but it sounds like a feasible plan to me. In any case, here's Swifty's spot check:

Spot=31 (on a 20!)

and his initiative, if he needs to fit into the order:

Initiative=17

If he does see the lights, can I ask you to please come up with an appropriate distance Swifty would be away from the battle? You can NPC him for the first few rounds, if needed, because he'd be spending each round "running" in a straight line "as the [griffon] crow flies" at a speed of 400' a round.

For future reference, Swifty's AC is 22.))
