Hamma was unsure of this lad. He seemed like the first generation, but he didnt have that fire in him like all the children did. Even Shin had that fire though he was a little scared at times when he was needed that fire blazed brightly. "Come on now lad, many men and women braver and stronger than you have come her seekin to be shinobi, What makes you think you can handle ye self on this here island. Trained thief's, Murders, Monsters. Even the lasses can rip you limb from limb." Of course Hamma was trying to scare the lad but what he was saying was true. The boy needed to stand his ground if he couldn't do that then there was no point in even starting his training.

Rokugi watched his breath fly slowly and white as the cod of the night enveloped them. He was getting real cold , hungry and sleepy. He was full of determination but he couldnt keep himself on subject like this. For all he knew this could be test and he seemed to be failing for all he knew. "I have determination, ihave will power and the desire to prove myself to...wait di di di...did you say lasses?" If what Hamma was saying was true and even the girls training here were that though he was now even more intmidated about talking to them. It seemed that what hews bound to encounterin the island where ompetetive and hostle people. Even he was starting to doubt if he would do any good.

Hamma bellowed out a laugh of pure joy as he listened to the boys simple reaction to his statement of the lasses on the island. The lad seemed to be taken aback by the fact that the women here could topple nations and still look good enough to win a mans heart. "Aye, lad I be sayin the lasses be strong enough to take down nations. Come wit me boy'oh. Alass a ship wont be coming for a day at least, cant be lettin you freeze now." Hamma turned and began walking to his shop expecting the boy to follow. The boy would be allowed to stay but as soon as he proved he wasn't another spineless idiot. "Ye be an orphan? Or ye just needed some toughen up in ye fathers eye?" Hamma was always interested in the tales of the young-ins. They never fully understood what it meant to be a shinobi when they first started out but with time they became more and more adapt to the fact the be fightin for something more.

Rokugi paused puzzeled s the ma called him forth to his place of residence. He waited for the man to start off a little bit and then he followed. He clinged his belongins hanging on his right side as he wlked a bit tilted to the left to keep balance. When Hamma spoke He couldt understan what he meant with the small last phrase about Rokugis father."Um sir...I didnt quite nderstand wht you meant with the father part. And Im not an orphan. I have well and alive father and mother although they are separted. My father left a long time ago when i was born to become a better Shinobi. My mother and stepfather always spoke of what great Shinobi he was and how I had been born "unique" like him. " His pace was slow compared to those of the gigantic blacksmith so he had to hurry up a bit kind of wobbling in the process."I was never strong for all i know, im here to learn about myself see what my moher meant when she said i ws special"

"Why yes my boy, we happen to have a fine establishment located right in the village." The professor thought that the lad seemed a little bit too young to be consuming alcohol and then realized that, at his age, most everyone seemed younger than they actually were. He squinted at the watch that the boy held against his bag and slowly nodded, forgetting for a moment why the young man was showing him a very outdated looking watch. Before completely losing his mind, the professor remembered that he had sent the youngster to fetch the precious item for him. "Yes indeed, sonny, that is most certainly my watch!" The old man thought for a few moments about whether or not the boy would be able to find work in Shimagakure, allowed a frown to wrinkle his face, and then shook his head. "It isn't likely that anyone will be looking for help during the winter season, though you could always ask around to see for yourself." With that said, the man reached for his watch, happy and thankful that the boy took time out of his day to assist him when he was in need.

The professor shook his head at the boy and smiled. Unfortunately, he had to stick to the shoreline, for he felt as though he were forgetting something else that needed to be done while he was there. "I'm afraid that you'll need to travel by yourself for now, young lad. I have matters to attend to around here." With that said, the man took a moment to remember his days of reckless barhopping and adventuring while under the influence. A low chuckle grumbled from his chest as he watched the lad desperately cling to him and attempt to drag him away from the beach of Shimagakure. "I imagine that you could find plenty of willing villagers to join you for a round at the bar. Alcohol poured over these old bones would do me no good!" While paying a visit to the local bar was a fun way to spend a winter evening in Shimagakure, it wasn't something that the professor felt that one should partake in on a daily basis. He figured that working and then drinking the money away was a terrible waste of a life. The professor wouldn't preach to the boy since it was likely that the lad wouldn't listen anyway, but even if he would, the old man figured that it was best to figure out such things on one's own.

"well i hope you get what you need to get done, done." Ginsei just left the professor there after saying his peace. ginsei knew if he stayed there any longer his buzz would be lost completely as flashes and memory would start to haunt him, as they pulled him out of reality into a torturous hell. Ginsei started to run in a little with a little more fear in his eyes but that is all ginsei ever really did he always ran. he ran from murders, his owner, form his very own past, and now reality itself. as ginsei ran threw this unfamiliur town. panic and fear could be fealt down to his bones at this point or was it just the cold night air of winter on his skin as the alcohol effects left his system. as Ginsei left the shores and made it around the town square several time not really knowing wear to go or who would help him, he started to read the signs on the buildings. only to reallize he did not know how to read most of this stuff on his ninth or tenth lap around the square. exhausted and mostly sobber ginsei blacked out, falling into an unstable snowbank which avalanched. gensei was covered in enough snow to keep him safe from the cold and out of sight of people but not enough to cause harm like crushing him or deprivation. Ginsei had many nightmares through out the morning. most of them consisted of his past or some cheap knock off of him fixing it and things going even more horribly wrong. the images that he ran from just caught up to him in the worst possible place, time, and way. ((sorry every one about he time and reality bending post, i kinda got left behind. entrence to the village and exit from the shoreline.))

It was rare to see a fishing boat on the waters this time of year, but the vessel was making a steady path towards the shallows, approaching the beach rather than the docks.
"We are nearly here, princess." The man's voice could just barely be heard in its regular tone, if anyone were actually standing on the sand. As the boat grew larger within the horizon, it was not the man who owned the voice, but a small girl, standing at the front of the boat with her eyes closed and her head held high. The fisherman sat behind her, guiding the boat expertly. The girl's eyes opened timidly, as if trying to adjust to the light of day.
This island...
The girl set her sights for the first time on Shimagakure, taking in a deep breath as she gazed at it. Her eyes quickly squinted and a grimace flowed over her face.
... it's small.
"Please be careful when you step out of the boat." The man continued, the boat starting to run out of water. The girl quickly turned around, her arms folded tightly around a plush dog held lovingly to her chest.
"Why thank you. Take care of yourself!" She looked at him cheerfully before turning back around, stepping out onto the sand.
Don't treat me like an infant... stupid adults...
She was literally layered in a traditional Gothic dress, the outer layers black with white frills around the collar, sleeves, and bottom of the skirt. Over both shoulders was strapped a rather large backpack, the head of a plush dragon sticking out of the top. Her throat let out a tone that seemed like a high-pitched sigh, but it was just a test for her voice. She hadn't moved since she made it to the beach, letting her eyes wander over the mix of snow and sand.
"Be careful what you do..." She started to sing, skipping over the sand as if the path away from the shore was a giant hopscotch field. She hopped mainly on her right foot, but made several different hops and movements, turning it into a game.

Kazuma made it a little further, not quite onto the sand yet but almost there. He was so tired now, but so close. To get from the village to the edge of the beach had taken significantly longer as he grew tired and his muscles burned. He stopped for only a moment to look ahead before taking up the weight and pulling again. One foot infront of the other... and nothing. It barely budged. he leaned forward desperately trying to get it onto the sand but it was stuck, unmoving unwilling. Leaving Kazuma to lose grip on the rope and fall face first into the cold, sand that was partially mixed with snow. He rolled over onto his back so he could breathe. The boy was exhausted and lay there in the cold earth debating to ignite it here or not. His answer was given to him when he looked back to the sled which was wedged into the sand in an awkward angle. It was hardly an ideal launch positon. He had to get it out of that rut, but for now he needed a breather one without that damn heavy coat. He sat up to tear it off, he was burning up under the thing. It was soon in the snow beside him leaving the cool winter air to cool him down.

After a few minutes rest the cold was starting to get to him, even though he was still utterly exhausted he couldn't lay in the snow any longer. It was time to show that sled who was boss, who owned this rocket! Kazuma picked himself up slowly and rubbed his hands together before grabbing hold of the rope and pulling with all his strength, leaning so far backwards he was almost vertical before it finally moved and slid forward. The sudden lack of strain on the rope caused Kazuma to fall back into the snow and almost get run over by the sled. He rolled out of it's path at the last moment, allowing the monster to skid to a stop a little closer to the water line. That was good enough to Kazuma and he dusted the snow off his body in satisfaction. Now he had to get the rocket setup. He would have just cut the rope if he remebered to grab a kunai but all he had on him was his matches and it would be a really dumb idea to burn through the ropes that were attached to his rocket. So the blanket was ripped off and the effort put into untying the ropes. Now he had to lift the thing into a launch position. The sled would be the platform so he had to prop the rocket up and shift it along the sled into a standing position Finally it was all ready. A years work standing before him ready to finally be put to the test. the smile on his face almost jumped right off, he was that excited. Fumbling with the matches by the side of the rocket he finally struck one and reached it towards the fuse only to have it blow out. He sighed and lit another one, cupping in his hands to shield it from the wind. This time it took and the fuse began burning down. "Time to run!" His voice full of excitement as he took off to what he thought was a safe distance to watch the rocket launch from. The fuse burnt up, straight into the rocket and after a moment that seemed to stretch on forever.... The rocket disappeared in a ball of flames and a cloud of thick black smoke. The sound of the explosion would be heard from all corners of the island. The rocket that he had spent so much time making had turned out to be nothing more than a huge bomb. Still that would have excited Kazuma if he had not been partially buried in the resulting shower of snow and sand. The boy was left speechless, half buried in the snow right next to the massive smoking crater.

(Enter from Dorms.)
The steps on the ground would sound sloppy to any rodent that lived in a burrow as Tanu ran over head. There were tears streaming down her face from her confrontation with the Nara boy, who she had began to consider a friend, but now had lost any hope in befriending him. She couldn't believe that the boy had been able to tackle her to the ground and pin her there long enough to rambling out those questions. Why had Tanu been so silly as to tell him how she felt about this dumb village? Madly wiping at her cheeks as she slowed down on the sandy path down to the shoreline, Tanu coughed to catch her breath and calm herself down. Her hands went to her knees as she bent over and took in large gasps of air. "Gah!" Tanu screamed at the top of her lungs as the calmness hit and the events that just happened sunk into her mind once again. As she yelled, she kicked the sandy path in which she stood at, causing a blanket of sand to spread into the air. While breathing in heavily of anger and fatigue, Tanu's nostrils picked up a familiar sent of black powder. It had been the black powder that Tomoko had taught her to make. Sniffling to make sure that she had fully calmed herself down, the Kun Kumo walked towards a billow of smoke rising out of the sand. As she walked in the mixture of sand and snow, Tanu's face turned sour as she spotted Kazuma, half buried in a small crater. "Ugh..." she sighed, disappointed that she had found the one clansmen she was not in the mood to see. As if Tanu were the one to paint a picture of how she viewed her cousin, this scene would definitely be one that came to mind. Tanu didn't say anything to Kazuma, but just stood over him, debating whether or not she would help him out of the pile.

Rolling her red and green eyes to the sky, Tanu turned away from Kazuma as if she were going to leave him there. She didn't fully take a step until she muttered something that would be very audible to Kazuma under her breath. "Worthless," she spoke in a whisper as she walked away from her fallen clansman. Tanu gave the impression to her cousin that she was going to leave him there in the sand and snow, probably to freeze to death in the night air that was coming soon. However, the Kun 'Kumo girl was not so insensitive to her kinsman. She had left him there in the snow and sand only to retrieve a shovel that she had spotted over by the docks. Picking up the splintering handle, Tanu swung it over her shoulder as if she were a miner heading into work with a pick axe. She did not make an effort to keep her foot steps concealed as she walked up behind the green haired boy in the snow, but she did make an effort to conceal the fact that she was swinging a metal shovel down into the ground that he was buried. Tanu had no regards for Kazuma's safety as she stabbed the snow, dirty and sand with the metal shovel, nearly stabbing Kazuma right in the back. Making sure that her shovel was deeply inbeded into the sand, Tanu pried it backwards in order to scoop a large portion from behind Kazuma's back, so he would have some room to move. "What did you fail at now?" the younger cousin asked to her embarrassing senior. It was very sad to say that Kazuma was older than her, but there was no way in shinobi hell was Tanu going to admit that he was by any means more experienced than she.

As she carried the snow and sand away from Kazuma's body, Tanu felt the cold sting of the winter air for the first time all day. She had been training outside by practicing her taijutsu and techniques, but it was only now that she felt the clamminess in her fingers. Letting the shoven rest against her body, Tanu let go of the splintering handle for just a moment. Looking down at her knuckles, Tanu couldn't tell if the scrapes from practicing taijutsu were scabbed over now, or merely frozen slightly. She picked at it for a moment to see if she could tell, but she couldn't. Shrugging her shoulders and dismissing the subject; it didn't matter to Tanu either way. Her rough and beaten up hands grabbed the shovel once again. Moving around to stand in front of Kazuma, Tanu got ready to stab the shovel directly in front of her cousin. She didn't know how his legs were positioned under there. For all she knew his legs could be directly under the spot she was about to dig the metal shovel into. If they were, Tanu would be mildly amused by Kazuma's screams of pain. If they weren't, Tanu would feel a twinge of disappointment, but would continue on her day either way. Luckily for Kazuma, there was a rather large frozen clump of ice on the spot that Tanu hit with the shovel. A small frown crossed her face as she hit the block of ice. She chipped at a few times to weigh whether or not it would break, but she decided that it wouldn't budge unless she applied extreme strength into pummel it. Not feeling too enthused to help her cousin to the point she used her full strength, Tanu decided to move to a different spot in the snow and sand to dig Kazuma out from.

Tanu's feet almost sank down in a soft part of snow and sand as she circle the green bob of hair trapped underneath it all. Stepping backwards quickly, Tanu avoided herself being sucked into the lightly filled crater, but she also received quite a heft helping of snow in her shoes. "Rrm," she grumbled, stabbing the shovel back into the snow. She used it as a balance while taking off her shoe to shake the sand and snow that had fallen in. As she did this, she felt a splinter slide its way into her hand. "Aaaaah!" she screamed in anger, turning and glaring at Kazuma as if it were his fault. "You're more trouble than you're worth!" she yelled at him as she yanked the shovel out of the snow with vigor. "Where's Kana?" she asked him in a huff as she dug the shovel into the snow once again in order to alleviate some off of her cousin. She dug deep into the snow to his side, which would give him a good spot to wiggle out of if he leaned back and over. Tanu may have dug the shovel in a bit too far, because she she angled herself to pry the tool upwards and lift the snow out, she found herself stuck. "Haaaa," she sighed shaking her hands out and then blowing in them for warmth. Tanu decided that the ocean was what made the shoreline so much cooler than the rest of the village. In the forests, there was hardly any wind since the trees blocked most of it out.
