Seth heard Karr, he quickly responded, "We're defrosting some re-enforcements." He commented simply, watching Dansmith move over to attend the defrostees.

Warren was sitting beside a crashed pelican with the 2 other privates, "Anthony!, don't be so rash, we need to think here!"Warren said into the com. There situation was dire and one more solider running in blind wasn't going to make any difference at all. It was useless, Anthony was gone. One of you open a com channel with our ship, now! The privates obeyed.
"This is master Sargent Warren Henry, Able company, Our situation is now FUBAR (F.ucked up beyond all reorganization, real military term) and need reinforcements. Most of Able is captured by Forerunner machines and only 4 free marine's. get here ASAP."
He put the com down and ordered the Privates to sweep the area for Hostiles, this was there last stand for the moment and Warren would do everything he could to keep it.

Anthony's patiance was running thin, like the breath coming from his mouth with each step. "Stow it Master Sergeant. I'm going to find them and load a few rounds into the 'Monitor.'" He switched back to the Lieutenant. "Sir... Reinforcements? From this place? How... and why? I'm following your pinged signal, I'll be to you within 10 minutes."

Captain Flagg rested his chin upon his open palm, sitting down in the commanding chair on the bridge. He watched the recorded video of the Sentinels making their suicidal impacts into his Pelicans, killing his men. Which each impact his heart fluttered once in silent mourning. A great many deaths had been dealt by machines, and an A.I. who showed no remorse for killing. It was obviously highly advanced but it had no "feeling" so it could never win against Angel, and that's what those Marines needed. His unending hazel eyes watched as Echo-407 crashed into the earth. May their souls rest in peace. He continued to watch in horror as the Sentinels massacred his men until finally he pressed the button on his chair that would shut off the video. Flagg sat up straight and closed his eyes, rubbing his temple with his right hand trying to focus his anger on the Sentinels not as hate, but simply as an enemy. They were smart, had superior technology, and were fast. The only thing they had was massive firepower when they worked together, and from the video he had seen his troops inside were sure to have lost all their morale. They needed something, and they needed it soon. "Angel, how long would it take to mobilize a quick response team?" "It should take only a few minutes; most of our troops are on stand by, sir. Did you have someone in mind?"Captain Flagg opened his eyes and nodded his head, "Hammer and Sierra-019." "Working on it now, sir.""Oh, and Angel? I want you to go with them; they'll need you more than we will." "Aye, sir.***** Commander Hammer grabbed his MA6B Pulse Action Assault Rifle off the crate he had set it down against and quickly checked to see that everything was in order. A squad of eight O.D.S.T.'s had assembled in the troop bay full loaded and ready to fight for their fellow soldiers. They all stood in a single file line in front of the insertion ships troop bay at attention, the SPARTAN among them. Michael made sure that his seven spare clips of ammunition were strapped tightly to his body and the new prototype body armor O.N.I. had sent as a birthday present. Every one of the O.D.S.T.'s had been given either a MA6B PA AR or a MA6K Cut-Away Variant, both equal in the ability to dish out a load of pain. Hammer stepped in front of the Marines feeling not the weight of his armor, but rather the data chip in his chest pocket. "Listen up, we're going down there to get our boys back and to kick some a**. There's a crazy a** A.I. that wants to freeze 'em up and pack 'em down but we're not going to let that happen! Am I right, Marines?!" "Sir, yes sir!" "Pile in! Pack your bags and get some a**, we're the U-N-S-C!" "Hou-rah!!!" The O.D.S.T.'s and the SPARTAN piled into the troop bay of the insertion craft, also a little present from O.N.I. called the 721-IIC or Infantry Insertion Craft. Once the men were inside he stepped into the craft's troop bay and hit the hatch button sealing them inside. He felt it shudder as they began to ascend into the black abyss before going into what was quickly becoming known as the Hell-Shell. He reached into his chest pocket and pulled out the data chip, looking at the sky blue circle in the middle before reaching behind his helmet and plugging in the chip. Immediately a cool sensation of flooding came over his mind, like someone had just stuck his brain in a tub of cool river water. "By orders I'm supposed to protect you at all costs while we're down there Angel. You ready?" Angel's voice came from inside his mind this time, her presence definite. "Let's kick some a**, sir."

"They were the source of the beacon Karr, Cryo-tubes with some special guests." Seth informed him.
They Cryo-tubes had all but melted by now, "Dansmith, how're they looking?"He asked.

He continued to run as fast as he could. His legs felt weaker by the second, and his breath felt more and more like a gust of wind with each step he took. From what the CO said, he had to pause for a moment in his mind to comprehend that people made it through alive in this place. "I copy sir. I need you to tell me where I need to be." he said, slapping his Armor Peircing rounds into the chamber while he ran.

Cold. The last thing he could remember before getting into the tube was the vastness... The emptiness of it all. In a world that was beautifully maintained to the point of aesthetic perfection, it's emptiness devoid of life gave it a haunting, foreboding feel. The emptiness was what had made them get into the tubes, anyways. Every day, an endless amount of walking, of exploring. But it was all useless. In all the time they had been there, a few weeks of recon and basic survival, the brightest of those among them had calculated that they had covered less than one billionth of a fraction of the installation's total surface. They could have wasted their lives searching, and not found anyone. But now, replacing the artificial warmth of the shield world, there was a bitter cold that pulsed in his veins, a chill that was so instilled in his body it was almost a part of him. Trying to move his left leg, he realized he was still in the tube and stopped the movement, the soft *tink* of glass against metal alloy sounding like a needle falling on a glass table. Then he remembered to open his eyes, and they pried open clammily, slow to respond like if his entire body was made of petroleum jelly. A line of light slid wide across his helmet's faceplate, and all of a sudden his armor hummed to life...
"WHOA!" One of the sled-bearers jumped, caught himself and kept on walking. Trying vainly to hide the surprise he had gotten from seeing the outline of his tube's occupant. Patting the young marine's shoulder, Captain Xiang Hao Lee whispered softly, so as not to cause a ruckus. "There is still hope, marine. There are still Spartans among us."

Anthony stoped running for a moment. The Lieutenant left the COM on, and Anthony could sware he heard the Captain say 'Spartan'.
"SIR! Did I hear someone say Spartan?" He asked, ducking away from sight for the time being.

"Affirmative sir..." Ashton lost himself in a moment of awe, a slow salute rising up to his head to honor the Spartans. "...Uh, yeah, right. They're still a little stiff, but all of them check out green. Two more, sir, non-Mjolnir mass signatures. Coming out now." Ashton looked over the remaining 13 tubes, two of which were opening...
The first remaining tube slid open, an audiable "crack!" sounding as a small ice seal broke, and the ice and vapor gushed out. The cold steam cleared, revelaing a well-built man of older age, but more strength than two young men combined. His steel-shot black hair gave a sharp look to his startlingly handsome face, for he had aged gracefully. He bore a proud physique of a Marine to the core, and he was unashamed of his nakedness as he stepped out onto the floor. A little cold, perhaps, but unashamed. "CPO Mendez. You boys woke me up from a damn good dream, I want a nice explanation for why."
From the misty and foggey exhale of the last tube, a slender woman stepped out, coughed on the fluids that had been her meal for the past month, and finally stood tall with dignity. She was unclothed, as is the normal procedure for most all Cryo-suspension, if Spartans were disregarded. Her gray hair was still wet from the melting water, and her barely-wrinkled face belied the massive intellect that hid behind her eyes. Cortana was her Legacey. the Spartans were her children. The Forerunners were her specialty.
She was Dr. Halsey.

Seth grinned "That's right Karr, SPARTAN. Told you we were getting some special re-enforcements. Be advised Karr, we're probably being watched. Try and contact the Monterey and report our status and our new friends."
Seth was impressed by how big SPARTAN armor really was. This very well could be their salvation.
"That and..." Seth eyes couldn't believe it, He recognized her from a photo from an intel report, "We also have...Doctor Hasely." Seth couldn't believe it.

Anthony gave a smirk. "Lieutenant, dont play that with me. I know you were thinking you were probably uncovering some useless thing... not a SPARTAN... And patching through to Commander Hammer now...."
He opened the B-Band and began transmitting. "Commander Hammer, this is Able Company XO First Sergeant Karr, come back sir. Priority Alpha."
