Those are shadow clones. Doppelganger is a German term. It's like... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DoppelgängerAn evil twin who can do everything you can, thinks like you, mimics you, and is often as strong as you. They are usually bad luck, but... I want to kill mine, so it wants to kill me. They are pretty much an evil manifestation of yourself. well the term is used in the naruto anime, so im a little close VERY little I have never seen the term used in the anime. You must watch a weird version. I'm pretty sure in the English dub, they even call it "shadow clone jutsu" Which is pretty much a word for word translation of the Japanese name for it, "Kage bunshin no jutsu" Kage being shadow, bunshin being clone... and jutsu stayed th same. Not to mention... the shadow clones aren't evil.
