(Okkkk.)
Bowie quickly stumbled out onto the field, and looked around cautiously... He thought he noticed two horses, but, to be safe, he hid in some shrubs as he aproached... dousing his lantern on the way.

Hyn rolled his eyes vaguely and slowly regained his feet. He was a little grass-stained from the fall, but other than that completely well.
Slowly he turned around. He was a soldier; he already knew what the Gerudo had in mind, so he braced himself for a sharp impact upside the head.

Quote: Suddenly the compass shifted. It was pointing to the girl. Not a goron. That was... unexpected. "My name is Arryl. Might I pass now?" she asked. Her eyes, however, had latched onto the girl, and they were not leaving. Her expression was unreadable, dangerously so, although there was no obvious ill intent. Now her horse had use. She began to climb back onto it. She needed a platform to make sure she could get to the girl. Gustaf glared at Arryl as she got onto her horse. "What is your business?" the elder goron asked, harshly. Vladimir noted the girl's gaze on Sofia. "Why are you so focused on sister?" he asked warrily. Glancing up at Sofia, he curled up and rolled back to her to defend her. "Stay behind me, sister," he said. Sofia's eyes swept from Gustaf to Vladimir to Arryl.
"What's going on?" she asked, worried.xoxoxox Quote: Inariie blinked. "What does that mean?" she walked stubbornly after the other girl. "You don't understand, Sila. If the Shadow Sage is near the Palace, then he or she is here to protect the royal family. There is only one group of people trusted to do that, and trust me, you do not want to mess around with them. I'm not kidding." Under her natural dark completion, her face was pale. Her knowledge of the Sheikah was completely made up of scary stories told to her as a child by her mother, but if even one tiny part of any of those stories was true, she needed to get the other girl out of there, fast. Sila turned to her, frustrated.
"Listen, Inaarie! I'm getting out of the castle first, then I'll deal with the sage. I'm not scared of the Sheikah, if that's who you mean. I'm scared of the castle guards..." she said, trailing off at the end. She once again had unwittingly revealed something she didn't want to.

"I have a message for the Goron Leader," she said, ignoring their other questions. She wasn't letting her eyes off that girl for a moment. Gorons were too trustworthy for their friends to just let her make off with this one. Anyhow, they called her sister. This would be really tricky.
"I can deliver it to none other than him. I suggest you move, or I'll be riding past you." She picked up the reigns. By no means did she expect them to accept. That was fine with her. She could play rough. She already had a plan. Gorons weren't particularly smart, either...

Someone was suddenly shaking Zelda, a boy, she thought. He was talking, but even though she knew on some level that she should be able to understand him, she couldn't. Nothing seemed to make sense about the scene; everything was fuzzy, confused, and out of place. She was also bone-numbingly exhausted, so tired that all she wanted was to lie down, but she realized that he was probably waiting for some sort of response. She shook her head vaguely. "I have to..." Her eyes were already sliding closed again. "I need to get to Kakoriko."
Something in Inariie's eyes went very cold. "If you're not afraid of the Sheikah, then you're just stupid, and you're going to get yourself killed. Now, normally, that wouldn't be my problem, but in this case by getting yourself killed you will be failing Lord Gannondorf; I can't allow that to happen."
Nalani saw the man tense, and smiled. "Clever boy," she said, her voice amused. A second later her sword hilt was swinging toward the back of his head. The other sword stayed in guard position; no point in taking chances.

Link's head was spinning as many situations went through his mind, 'If I help this girl, then I might loose Gus. But if I don't then and something bad happens to her, then it will be all my fault." Eventually, Link gave in, conceding to the fact that since he had no idea where his friend had been taken, he couldn't technically go out of his way. Still, he needed to go quickly, and this would be difficult with the girl barely hanging on to her horse. There was only one option left; carefully Link lifted the girl and shifted her onto Epona in front of him. Gently, he shoved the buck on it's way back to the ranch, then surround the girl with his arms as he held the reigns. With a quick yell, Epona moved forward, dashing off towards Kakariko village.

Zelda still wasn't completely sure what was happening; suddenly she was leaning back against someone, just as she had when she was a child and her father set her in front of him on his horse. Her eyes slid completely shut. "It wasn't anything personal," she sighed, "You wouldn't have let me go if you'd been awake..." The next moment, she was out again.
She was in the old section of the library, sitting at her table bent over an ancient history scroll. Her attention, as always, was completely focused on her task, so it took her a few minutes to realized that someone was sitting in front of her. She looked up, prepared to be annoyed, but froze.
A young woman, not much older than she, was sitting in front of her, but the expression on her face as she looked at the Princess was the proud but slightly exasperated look a mother would give a daughter. Her shiny black hair was practically cropped just below her chin.
It was her eyes that caused Zelda to freeze like a rabbit hiding in the open; they were a bright, impossible blue, and were so ancient that just looking into them seemed to crush Zelda's bones to dust. The young woman smiled. "Well, it seems you're already out of the Palace, little one. Though you seem to be moving in the wrong direction."
Zelda swallowed. "I'm not moving at all," she said in a very small voice, "I'm sitting in my library."
"Come now," chided the young woman, shaking her head. "You know better. You're asleep on a horse heading for Kakoriko Village." She smiled sympathetically. "I know you're tired, child; you've been pushed harder than you're used to today. Unfortunately, you need to wake up as soon as possible. There's someone you need to be talking to, rather than sleeping."
She reached out and gently touched Zelda's forehead. "There. That will give you enough energy to wake up, at least for a little while." Zelda just stared at her, then suddenly realized that she wasn't staring at anything; there was no longer anyone to stare at.
Sitting on the horse in front of Link, Zelda frowned in her sleep, completely oblivious to the real world, even to the symbol glowing on the back of her hand.

A few words escaped the girl's lips as Link rode. From what he could hear, she must have thought he was someone else. And then, once more she was asleep, her long golden hair flowing across his chest. She had the strangest smell of perfume about her, sweet and rich, rich being the important word. Even her simple dress was pristine, as white as snow and as soft as satin. This girl was obviously someone important.
As Link became lost in his thoughts, a bright light caught his eye. As first he couldn't tell where it was coming from, nobody else was around. The only possible source was the girl, but by the time he looked, the light had already faded away. He felt as the girl began to stir and he smiled, "Hey"

"Hey." A young man's voice, one that seemed to be coming from under a lot of water. Zelda slowly forced her eyes open. "Um," she mumbled, attempting to focus her eyes. Suddenly she blinked. There were arms wrapped around her, unfamiliar arms.
She instinctively tensed, then forced herself to speak calmly. "We're heading toward Kakoriko, I understand. May I ask whom I should thank?" Another, extremely unpleasant thought occurred to her. "Where's my horse?" she asked, losing some of her calm as she twisted to look. "Where is it?"

"My name is Link, and I sent your horse back home," Link replied as he pulled back on the reigns to halt Epona, "You fell asleep and I thought it would be rude to leave you alone. Especially considerin'..." he was going to say what happened to Gus, but he knew she would not understand. Instead he settled with a simple sigh.

Zelda blinked. "Link?" she turned to look at his face. "Link the boy from Lon Lon Ranch?" But she could already see that he was. After a disbelieving moment, she smiled. "I am sorry for snapping; it's been a long night."

Suddenly, with her recognition, he to remembered, "You're that girl from awhile back. The one interested in the spiritual stones. I was wondering if I'd ever see you again," Link replied slowly, once again attempting to hide his accent but failing terribly, " So tell me, what's a girl like you doing out in the middle of the night?"

Zelda's smile faded a bit as she remembered what she was supposed to be doing. "Falling asleep in the saddle, obviously. Thank you for your help; it was only a matter of time until I fell off."
She hesitated, looking past him toward the distant lights of the Palace. "I'm sorry, but it seems that I'm not heading toward the right place, after all. The Castle Town gates are already shut, so I suppose I'll just have to camp out." The idea wasn't appealing, and it showed on her face. "You didn't happen to get my saddle bags off the horse, did you?"

Zelda's smile disappeared completely and she turned back around, only to start sliding herself out of the saddle. " I can't tell you," she said softly. There wasn't any point in attempting to lie; she'd never really been any good at it. "I'm sorry, but-" She turned back around and managed a small shadow of a smile. "Thank you for your help."
