Refreshing, yes... Enough caffeine and sugar to kill an elephant. Welcome to the twentieth century. *Bard sighs. He really is starting to worry about her health*

*Mell chuckles* Charmed to be here, I'm sure.
*She sips the latte again, then reaches out to pat his cheek* Now now, no need to look so down! *she glances down the street at the varying degrees of chaos left in her wake, then grins back at him* Why, if you ask me very nicely, I might even straighten up some of this mess I've made.

*Bard folds his arms, chuckling, his voice cheerful and conversational* I'm not going to ask you to do that. I expect if you feel like doing it, you'll do it, and if not, then people will just write this off as swamp gas, magnetic storms, and weather balloons. It might amuse you to have me over a barrel, Melliandra. I certainly can't stop you. But I'm not going to beg.

*Mell just looks at him for a moment, then tosses her head back and laughs aloud* I really am dreadful, aren't I? *she admits, unapologetically*
You're quite right though. *she continues, hopping off the bike seat and back to her feet* I do as I please and rarely otherwise. But I cannot be garnering a reputation for sloppy magic, now can I? So I suppose I shall clean up, after all.
*She gives the latte back to him and then shoos at him with her hands* Stand back now, dear.

*Bard gives Melliandra a wide berth, as if he were trying to avoid being in a group photo. He watches her expectantly*

*Not wanting to disappoint an audience, Mell makes a bit of a show out of casting this particular spell. She rubs her hands together, then bends down on one knee, placing her palms flat on the sidewalk. She closes her eyes, murmering words in a strange, ancient tongue. Some sort of black mist seems to gather around her fingers and then absorb into the cement*
*After a moment, she reopens her eyes, and they seem to have gone entirely black, without white or iris. She quickly twists her wrists outward, sending a ripple running out along the ground, back the way she came. As it passes, it reverts everything, all the storefronts, cars, traffic lights, and more, back to their original state, prior to her interference. The entire process takes only a matter of seconds, leaving the previously confounded citizens of Skokie looking somewhat dazed*
*With that done, Melli rises back to her feet, brushing her hands off against each other, viewing her handiwork with a satisfied little smirk*

*Melli turns back to him, her eyes still fully black* Have you no sense of artistic appreciation? *she scoffs, and her eyes shift back to their usual icy blue* Nose-wiggling, indeed!
*She glances back to the bike, still near her side, and gives it a little pat on the seat* Run along, now. *she tells it, and off it rolls, down the sidewalk and around the corner back toward the signpost where she first found it*

*Bard watches the bike roll away, reminded rather absurdly, of Pee Wee's Big Adventure. He straightens his bowtie*
Well, have you had enough fun or shall I see about getting Cubs tickets?

*Melli idly runs a hand through her hair as he speaks, shifting it back to its original white-blonde tresses, then lifts her eyebrows* Cubs tickets? *she queries, then chuckles, deciding she's harassed him enough for the time being*
Well, perhaps some other visit. You really do want to get me back to the Brink, don't you, you stubborn man?

*Luke sees a room with hardwood floors. Nice furniture, dated tv, dvd player, stereo, working fire place.. christmas tree. Not bad at all. It reminds him a little of the houses in Media. Cept for the christmas tree. It's weird; it's interesting. This is the first home he's been to outside his time...*
*So this is what the salary of a romance writer can buy you these days. Huh. It's not a bad train.*
Nice place.
So where's the Jag?
