Dude, Itachi probably IS among the most powerful Ninja ever (He was essentially dying when he fought his brother and STILL whopped him.) Anyone who's as strong as Jiraiya...well dude, they're up there. Naruto is probably the only current good guy capable of fighting on par with him outside the Kage's. But your right, he might not have been the strongest Anbu at the time(Still, a captain,,,)...Madara though? Madara was worth more than few Anbu. The Clan would have done some damage at the least, and that was Kohnoha during it's hay day. I'll admit though, it never says how many Anbu there are...
Shi no Saakasu (Circus of death)
xd They were a little pet project of mine during my ridiculously long time skip that broke all guild records. They were a small missing nin organization that was more on the level of Zabuza, but who was currently in the employ of a Crime boss who was racketeering and smuggling as he took advantage of the war in the land of Fire. He planned to help the Daimyo by funding his war, and thus extend it to increase his own position of power. Backfired when my person Xenon, his Uncle/sensei Crow, and a few others made it their business to bring him down, Xenon just going along because it sounded interesting, and Crow agreeing because it was a possible source of information that Oto might need (Not to mention that he's only in Oto to look after his Nephew, No one actually knows Crow's Xen's Uncle except0 well look it's a long story, maybe another time.)
Their leader Braago was Jounin level, but though Xen fought and beat Kyojin, who was...well look he's a long story too. Point is that The Group was defeated, Xenon beating Kyojin in possibly the most epic fight scene I've ever written, before sparing him, Braago was convinced by one of Xen's group, who was really more arch-type hero to kill the crime boss himself, even though he couldn't beat Braago. (Braago himself was already badly wounded when they fought, having fought Senkyo in cameo I mentioned earlier.) Shi no Saakasu, technically, is still out there, Braago having left with the remaining members, though Kyojin and the two twins that followed him had disappeared after the fighting. This was all about a year ago in Rp.

Madara technically has been massively injuried since his fight with the 1st hokage. Though not hurt enough that he couldn't go toe to toe with the 4th hokage. That says a lot for the 1st hokage's level. His fight with the 3rd was forced so his movements were forced by Orochimaru so weren't fluid and as strong. Sure the jutsu might be the same but just because they are the same jutsu doesn't mean they are as strong with a different user. Considering Orochimaru gave him and the 2nd chakra that was essentially divided 3 ways on Orochimaru's limited chakra supply. So yeah, reduced taijutsu fighter and limited chakra.
But yeah, Madara was at the 4th hokage's level despite being injuried. So he could have still been of massive help. Heck for all we know Itachi made Sasuke have the image of Itachi killing.
We don't know if what Sasuke saw was true or if Itachi used a genjutsu on the young Sasuke about Itachi killing them BUT in reality, Madara killed each and every single one of them. Itachi even during their battle did a good job at displaying that he could almost control sasuke's outlook, as a kid it would be easy.
Also you take what people say WAY to serious. It's quite likely that Itachi said "if jiraiya and I fought, we'd both die" as a way to spare Jiraiya's life. Sure Jiraiya would pwn s**t up, but there is no way that Kisame can fight ANYONE and not change the result when tag teaming. I mean even if Kisame fought the jubi with the sage, he'd still be of help. He is a slightly reduced water jutsu expert to the 2nd hokage. The 2nd hokage made edo tensei and in the manga had the darkness technique so that doesn't say TOO much. But Kisame can create a fricken lake of water out of nothing, which the 3rd hokage said was WOW.
Well let me just say, I can't make a lake out of my chakra????

So anyway, how many strong good guys do we actually have. I mean from what I see, the majority are genin and acouple academy students like Sage and stuff.

Should I change this clan to something more similar to that of the Assassins from Assassin's Creed? Like, Eagle Vision instead of empathy via doujutsu? or I could just try and add the Eagle Vision abilities into the "main soul emotion" thing... They could also be taijutsu/weapon experts...

The difference between eagle eye and byakugan? Both are essentially the same thing in terms of tracking.

I was going to make this clan shuriken/taijutsu experts, but yeaahh. not so sure. all this talk of super powered people is making me want to make a new clan/character ninja

The difference between eagle eye and byakugan? Both are essentially the same thing in terms of tracking. Not really dude. Byakugan is more about seeing the 361 chakra points, and that is how they can do the Gentle Fist. Of course, you can see the slight differences in people's chakra. But you need to know what you are looking for in order to actually detect them... Where as eagle vision, it like seeing clearly who you need to kill, yet you already knew who you are going for in a sixth sense way... Hence why they show up yellow/gold... etc.

I thought eagle vision was when you stood up on the plank of a 100 story building and you got to see everything in the surrounding area at all angles for a certain distance. And then you would jump off and somehow survive a 20 story fall by landing perfectly in a haybarrel.

Hayate-senpai I thought eagle vision was when you stood up on the plank of a 100 story building and you got to see everything in the surrounding area at all angles for a certain distance. And then you would jump off and somehow survive a 20 story fall by landing perfectly in a haybarrel. No, that's is the Synchronizing thing, that has nothing to do with eagle vision. Eagle Vision is a sixth sense, which makes you aware of what you know and don't know at the exact same time... It's like when you have some word on the tip of your tongue... You know it, yet you can't say it... You know who you are after, but you don't know... That is what Eagle Vision is about... you have to confirm your target... confirm who is who...

Like, what techniques... just look at the requirements and train those... the majority will be in taijutsu, with like my secondary powers in lightning ninjutsu. but I've already trained strength/chakra/chakra control/taijutsu so I'm trying to think of something else to train. wisdom? dex? what's most useful during a mission :< HMMM.
