Carrie gasped in pain as her mind went blank as pain filled it. She grunted and held her breath trying to think through the pain. She got an idea and she moved her slashed open leg blood still driping out and rolled to the side in the sand trying to get away from the drillbur. It was the best she could come up with as her mind was slightly addled with pain. "Death try and drag me away quickly..." She was in pain and her pokemon could sense that as it got an adreniline boost. If it was enough was yet to be seen as the ghost pulled with all its might to get her away from the ground pokemon.

((I forgot to mention this in my last post, but when attack by a Pokemon it is possible for a trainer to gain an injury as you just have. Once you obtain 5 injuries your character will pass out. If she passes out she'll wake up back at the Academy...but this comes at a cost. Every time she passes out the trainer that saved her will take money as compensation. If she has no money they'll take an item. In she has neither they'll take the most recent Pokemon she captured.))
[Carrie's Injuries: 1/5]
[Carrie lost 1 PokeBall!]
Carrie would surfer a far worse fate then simply being hurt this time however, as those claws met cloth not flesh. When the Drillbur hit the sands again, the young girl would find she had one less item in her possession. She'd been robbed.
Tittering briefly to themselves the three Drillbur would look to the girl...then disappear beneath the sands. They'd gotten what they'd wanted.

((Oh okay))
Carrie looked at the injury and tore a strip of her clothing off to cover the wound with. She also sighed as she counted only two pokeballs and a potion "Those cursed Drillbur robbed me!" She stood shakily from in the sand as blood dripped into her shoe. She recalled her pokemon and walked looking again for more pokemon but this time favoring her left leg.

The appearance of the Krokorok was meet by three differing reactions. Culann was immediately on guard while Urvogel cocked his head in surprise. And Vanni? Well, after making sure the distraught Kabuto was safely craddled to her chest, she rose. Placing the cane lightly in front of her, she greeted the threatening creature with a surprising genuine smile. "Is there a problem, good sir?" she asked with a polite sort of detachment.
the Growlithe was not nearly to calm as the trainer. Pawing the ground, he lowered his head in a slightly threatening. /Back off, reptile,/ Culann growled lowly. /We're just passing through. We don't want to have to hurt you./
/Speak for yourself, Hairball./ While Urvogel might not have been totally on board with Vanni and her general weirdness, he was all for a bit of violence. The bird leapt from Vanni's shoulder, landing with a loud thump! in the dust next to Culann. /Come close. I tear out your eyes./
"Now, now, boys," Vanni admonished. "We don't need to have a fight unless-
And that was it for Culann. He was tired of this. /No more running!/ he snarled. He stepped forward, brushing past the Archen. He gave a loud bark, and darted to one side. /Let's play, you over-sized lizard!/

[3/10]It wouldn't be long before Carrie would find another Pokemon in her path...but this once would be a great deal different then those prior. With gleaming russet brown fur and eyes locked upon the child, a Vulpix stood before her. Paws firm against the ground, the Pokemon did not strike nor seek to get around Carrie. Rather every thing about the Fire-Type's posture screamed challenge. This Vulpix wanted a fight, and it wouldn't take no as an answer.

Carrie could sense that the fox pokemon wanted to fight her as soon as she laid eyes on it. She unclipped Death's ball again and smiled as she tossed it in the air leting out the ghost pokemon. "You want to fight alright then you have one, now Death use Constrict on the fox and lets begin this little battle" She ordered even though she figured the fox would be just as fast if not faster than her own pokemon. The Drifloon floated towards the fox at a fast pace his tenticales ready to wrap around the pokemon.

The Vulpix snuffed slightly as she stated ">Foolish human.<" Such a straightforward plan, and such weak resolve behind it. Somehow she also imagined the child needed to work on her Grammar for some reason...she wasn't certain why however. Just a thought.
Flicking her six tails at once, the Vulpix would fall onto her haunches. Fine, if her opponents planned to use such simple tactics, she would match them. Tilting her head back, the little Fire-Type would arm her attack while simply sitting there. Flame would gather from her belly and into her maw, lapping at the edges as she worked to focus that flame into a single condensed blast.
Once it was ready, she would turn her head toward the Driftloon and fire...this was one Ember the Ghost would not soon forget![Edit: Well I'll be a mankey's uncle...]

">Oh, so this meal has a bit of spice to it!<" The Krokorok cackled ">Well a light workout before lunch is nice now and then!<" His opinion of the Growlithe was pretty clear in those words. Nothing more then a diversion. A dog fighting to the end...but it would be the end.
Least so the Krokorok believed.
Surprisingly, despite his malicious disposition the Krokorok would not open those jaws to snap down on the furred morsel. Instead he would fix his beady black eyes upon the Growlithe and begin to stare. It was an intense gaze, one which would cause most Pokemon to quiver, to become so afraid they wouldn't dare turn their back and runaway from this creature. It was one Mean Look.

((2-1+6-7 no dmg eh and a fumble wow either this was pure luck or I am getting slightly better at this...)) The tentacles wrapped around the fox in a tight squeeze as the ghost managed to reach the vulpix before it could let off its full flaming ember. He squeezed but could not get a good grip on the fox so he soon had to let go or risk being burned by another attack. "Alright Death up and about, keep moving high and side to side, keep moving so it will be difficult for the fox to hit you" the ghost complied and began to move as fast as he could never staying in the same spot for more than a second.

((Luck))
[FUMBLE! -1 to Vulpix's Attack Rolls!]
Inhaling deeply, the Vulpix would quickly summon up the flames of another Ember; but if Driftloon and it's trainer thought her tactics would be predictable they'd be sadly mistaken. Embers smouldering in her maw, the Vulpix would release them, then sharply jerk her head so they'd spread out in a wave!
Dodging to the side of this one was an unlikely prospect!

The wave of embers would fly just under the Drifloon as he surges upward at the last second. Carrie thought again as she figured another strike would end with a poor result but she had to weaken the pokemon for her plan to be a success "Alright try another constrict, and then prepare for another dodge keep the fox on its toes." She ordered and the ghost then charged again its tentacles ready to wrap around the fox again. Carrie thought fast what she should do next if this fell flat.

The Vulpix growled angrily. This was rather unexpected result. Given the girl's apparent injury and the scent of blood the Vulpix had expected the child to be a rather poor fighting; thus far that didn't appear the case. Perhaps she was just lucky...devilishly lucky.
Exhaling sharply, the Vulpix would suddenly flip onto her back, kicking herself in a circle and letting her tails drag across the ground. In the wake of her rapid movements sand would kick into the air, forming a blinding dust cloud. The Diftloon surely couldn't strike what it couldn't see!

Death was confused by the sand and his tentacles hit only the soft sand as he missed his prey. Carrie closed her eyes and thought as fast as she could "Again Death keep on the move dont give her a clear target." The ballon ghost nodded and rushed back again thinking of the dodge and the next move he would have to do.

(Have to say it, those aren't tentacles. By definition they're simply two long, thin arms.)
Surprisingly the Vulpix didn't even look at the Driftloon this time. Pushing her paws firm against the ground, the Vulpix would curl her tails and fix her position. She wasn't intending to attack this time; rather she was bracing herself for the next assault. Once she was ready, she'd be able to Endure any blow!

((eh alright I will call them arms from now on..))
With no attack coming and the vulpix bracing itself Carrie sighed she would try one more time with a constrict "Alright Death one final time constrict" She orded wanting this battle to turn in her favor she prayed to no one in particular that death could get his arms around the little fox. Death nodded and charged his thin arms dancing in a way to grab and crush the vulpix in a mighty grip.
