TtheHero The Betman digi734 The Betman digi734 Huh, apparently you can get a Pikachu colored Pichu from the 30th to Valentine's Day at any Gamestop. .....is there a difference between the coloring? Apparently yes. Okay, better question: Is it actually worth going to get? With how rare shiny pokemon can be, barring the use of cheating devices, most likely.
Then there's also the Notch-eared Pichu coming along down the line. Well here's the upcoming events.

I guess I wouldn't understand, considering that whenever I played pokemon, I really couldn't care less about stat training or what the hell ever. If it killed a gym leader, I was happy. I don't even UNDERSTAND things like that for the most part. I just use the best moves that take out more than half or ALL HP in one hit.
The only shiny I ever got (read: CAUGHT) was that red Gyrados.

I am not really into all the stat stuff, but EV training pays off. People will trade some rare stuff for EV trained this or that with these moves and this nature. Go to a forum, say "Anybody got a Entai? I'll breed and EV train something for you." They jump on that s**t.

The Betman Okay, but I"m not into all that post-game raising pokemon fight my friends blah blah blah But that is half the fun. Choose two types and make a gym battle clash out of it. I did Ice/Water against my buddy's Ghost/Dark. He never got his full team trained, but I think we fought each of our strongest, and even though his misdrevas had thunder my Slowking was just a little bit stronger. One of his other dark types would have totally wiped it out, but I am not gonna complain.

As far as strategy thinking goes for my Pokemon playing, I just choose to exploit type weaknesses. I'll focus on stats to some degree, but not as much as others.
Ever since Gen 3, my strategy has jumped from "choosing Pokemon that look cool" to "assembling a party with as much type variation as possible, varying their move set as much as possible, work on their stats a bit, and can counter my opponent's types as much as possible."

Type weaknesses are good, but sometimes you gotta know other ways to attack. The enemy has a shuckle with ridiculous defense, have something with night shade. Does the same damage, no matter what. Dead shuckle.

Maybe I should let all of mine learn that before evolving them all.

Does the same damage, no matter what. Dead shuckle. True, but I only worry about s**t like that when I'm link battling or something, which is something I rarely do. If I'm just facing in-game trainers/gym leaders/criminal terrorist organizations/elite ******** Gen-4 champions, the type exploitation works. And if it doesn't...just hit it with whatever high-powered moves I got. Long as I win, I'm happy.

My god, if my Scizor could learn Magnet Bomb, I would be set. It'd get both the STAB and the Technician boosts from it, and it'd never miss.
