final_fantasy_star_2010 I play the flute and i love it. it is the best instrument ever. marching band was an awsome season too, but i will not be playing flute in it next year, but color guard instead. but still FLUTIES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY! Another color guard/flute! I'm the only flag at out school that plays in instument in our concert band.

He'd prefer it if we did, but I'd just fake it anyway. Mainly because I'm used to people referring to notes as flats, and he uses sharps. So I get confused easily when he says the notes out loud before we play.

Yeah i guess that's true!!

We know we all play flute or piccolo. How did you become a flutist? Why did you decide to play flute?
i always want to play either the flute or clarinet. when the music teacher from the high school came to the elem. school, we got to try and see what instrument we liked. well i tryed playing the clarinet.. stupid thing didn't make a sound. but when i put my lips on the flute and i blew air it made the most beautiful sound ever. I hate the clarinet.

I'm a flutist that just joined this guild...i'm so happy there is a thread for flutes...i love it all around, though I'm not a fan of my band or band teacher for that matter.

ooo ooo im a flautist. FLUTES RULE!!! i wish i could play the flute in one of the jazz bands at my skool but we dont hav a dedicated jazz flautist; those are normally played by an alto who would hav learnt the flute. i wanna learn the piccolo...that'll b fun ^.^ even if it makes my peers deaf in the process...and i also wish we had a marching band at my skool but we dont...i dont think skools in australia hav marching bands...but it would b awesome if it did ^.^ *i hope im not tlking to much*
