"I'm not..." Jack began. With a sigh, he looked down, and said, "My skin has always been this pale, and my eyes are naturally red. So, you can imagine, I really didn't look much like the other kids, growing up... I got picked on a lot... They called me Rat, short for Lab Rat. One kid, he was so messed up, convinced the others that..." Jack took a deep breath, then continued. "He got the idea into his head that because I look so different on the inside, that... that my inside... my blood... That my blood would look different, too... I tried to tell them, I'm just the same, my blood is the same, but... The kids, they would always tell me, 'You're not the same, Rat. You're not the same...' The... The one messed up kid had a bunch of followers, I guessed he scared a lot of the others... They... They would all hold me down, and... and..." Jack closed his eyes tight, not wanting to start crying again.

Hitsugaya looked at her with a straight face and said quietly "You don't scare me, now let go of me."

he got up and wandered around for something to do. he then noticed Hitsugaya,Kikyo, and Jack so he walked over to them and asked Hitsugaya "whats going on here?"

*Kikyo took her hand off of Hitsugaya and hugs Jack* People are cruel. They say things about those who are not the same. In my time, I was a preistess, so I had to act a certain way. I was human, but I could not be human. Many though I was cold hearted, but... Inuyasha, he knows the same feeling. He is always treated badly because of how he looks. Don't allow others from your past to hurt you. What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

"I know, I know... It's just..." Jack sighed, hugging on to Kikyo. "Today, that was the first time in a long, long time that I bled because of someone else... It brought back all those memories... I... I guess I seem kinda pathetic, huh?"

*Kikyo feircely looks at Hitsugaya.* I was not trying to scare you. We are all of the same team, with the same goal. Treating those of your group with cruelty only kills the team. We'll never acomplish what we need to if we only hurt each other. *Goes back to trying to make Jack feel better* If you'd like, I can tell you a secret about myself.

he grinned once kikyo said that what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. he then said "i just say i just fight till i would die. then id come back as a ghost and fight again."

*Kikyo shakes her head and ignores Hitsugaya* It is alright. I don't mind. I just... haven't told any one because I'm afraid of how Inuyasha will react.He worries about me so much as it is. I don't want him to get even more worried about me. *Allows Jack the freedom to get away from her if he chooses*
