Yay! You watch Criminal Minds too! biggrin
Do you think you could give me like...a one-sentence rundown of what each other show is about? I've caught up entirely with Criminal Minds now and I must admit it was kinda exhausting to catch up with near-150 episodes. I'm likely going to be taking a break now before trying to get into anything else.
But I can say this...what drew me into Criminal Minds the most was the psychological aspect of it. Seeing how they deduce how these criminals and serial killers think and behave right down to a T. eek One sentence describing NCIS, Psych, Burn Notice, Monk, Once Upon a Time, Grimm, and The Pretender,? Wow, that's a bit of a tall order (They're all so GOOD!!!!), but I'll do my best! If it helps, I'll try to find a decent vid to accompany (a short one, mind you) each explanation. Here goes!
NCIS: An entertaining show that has the agents with almost a familial bond, but they still solve naval crimes, getting into the bad guys' heads by clues from their forensic scientist and chief forensic examiner, or even just from clues found around the scene; throw in a rich boy toy, a perky goth, a marine warhero-type guy, computer geek, and a former mossad agent, and you've got a crew! Here's a vid showing SOME epic moments. [
x] (Still doesn't do it COMPLETE justice, though...)
Psych: A smartass fake psychic who actually notices things others don't to solve crimes while working with the police along with his co-partner, Guster, in his psychic detective agency, Psych. [
x]
Burn Notice: A "burned" CIA agent who uses his old spy skills to, along with friends, get inside the heads of his enemies and solve the different cases he comes across in a variety of locations, giving the audience tips for the situation as he goes along. (pretty educational, actually!) [
x]
Monk: A germophobe and one who is afraid of ANYTHING different (you could say EXTREME OCD), Monk was once a brilliant detective who, now, is still helping the police force with detective work, but also trying to overcome his issues with things (there are MANY) at the same time. [
x] (I quite literally couldn't find anything better. Still searching.
sad )
Once Upon a Time: Yes, it's about fairy tales and fantasy, but the real thing being investigated here is who belongs to which story, and how to get the "Happy Endings" to have a chance at happening again. (The trailer may explain it better than I can.) [
x]
Grimm: Take the fairy tales of old, "creepy" them up a little, add a police officer having to solve bizarre crimes while being able to see the perpetrators for what they really are (a "Grimm", if you will), and you have this story. (Half the fun is guessing which fairy tale the episode is based on!) [
x]
The Pretender: A pretender is someone who is able to, just by a brief observation, insert themselves into ANY situation and you'd never know they didn't belong there. (This can tell you a bit more, but... you'd actually have to watch the series to know, really. It's great!) [
x]
as a bonus, here's another few!
Mentalist: Kind of like PSYCH, only more serious. Jane (actually a male!), an ex-inmate, uses his previous knowledge to EASILY get inside the minds of others, all while trying to work his way towards vengeance on Red John, who killed his whole family. [
x]
BONES: Forensic Anthropologist Temperance Brenan, who is not always quick on the uptake as far as tact or emotions are concerned, deciphers clues from bones and other things to assist the FBI in solving cases. [

Aaaaaaaand I'll leave you with that much for now. Enjoy!
