Layna hummed softly, swinging Gabriel in her arms. He was getting so big, it was becoming a hassle to carry him and his awkwardly growing body. "You're such a big boy!" She said, laughing softly. She looked like a mother with her child, not what she3 really was. A Lycan who could change at will into a fierce wolf creature. Gabriel giggled in her arms, his white hair shining in the lamplight. He was a healthy three year old that was growing up quickly, as Lycan children did. Layna had her mind elsewhere, perhaps that was why she seemed normal, not seeming so cautious of the dangers that were always evident around her.

Ceon limped through the park, looking for Layna. he knew there would be a chance that Layna would be at Razu's, but she also came here when she was distressed. His eyes rested on Layna, and he started limping faster, the back of his jeans turning crimson. "Layna!"

Layna froze, and turned her head toward the voice. She resisted the urge to sigh. How does he always find me..? Wasn't it he who told me I needed alone time...? She turned her body toward Ceon, and held Gabriel tightly to her. "What is it?" She murmured.

Ceon limped up and grabbed her arm, "It's not safe out here! The mortals know about us!" Ceon's face was pale from the bloodloss on his back. Small streems of smoke were rising from his jacket. "Layna, we have to stay inside!"

Zarathose strolled slowly up behind coen"Hello.Um...Have you guys seen an angry mob near by?"

Layna yanked her arm from his grasp. "I'm not an idiot. I don't pick fights, nor do I do anything to bring attention to me. You, on the other hand, are wounded, with silver, and it is untreated... Are you out of your mind?" She growled, covering her son's ears. "I can take care of my self. I've done that for a year, what makes now any different?" She froze at the sight of the man behind Ceon. She stepped back, her heart accelerating, her eyes wide.

Ceon froze up at the famliar voice, and Ceon whipped around, holding his knife at Zarathos' neck. "What are you doing here!?"

Layna sunk down onto the ground, Gabriel clutched tightly in her arms. It had been so long since she had seen Zarathos that she felt her heart give way to soft gasps. Of course...he had not changed at all. Gabriel looked out from the shelter of his mother's arms at the unfamiliar figure, confused by his mother's reaction. "Mama?" He sounded. "Who's that?" He stared curiously, but did not move.

Ceon stepped back, "I don't trust you anywhere near my back. You swore you'd kill me." Ceon pulled Layna close to him, "And Layna, the night we fought.........mortals saw us. They attacked me. If they find you, the same will happen."

Zarathose stepped away from Ceon and walked over to Layna and Gabriel."Don't worry,I won't let them get to you."He said calmly.He looked at Gabriel."Cute kid Layna...I've never seen him before...Except once when he was a pup i think."He smiled"I'm an...old friend of your mothers....What is your name young one?"He asked kindly.

Gabriel's grey eyes stared up at Zarathos quizzically. "Gabriel." He said quietly, still unsure. Layna squeezed her son lightly, before she finally took her eyes from Zarathos to look at Ceon. "I never changed fully. You bit me, and I couldn't think past you trying to break my collarbone." She muttered softly. She brushed her hands through her son's hair, soft as down and becoming thick.

Zarathose noticed as Layna held her child tighter and frowned"Well...Gabriel I think i have something for you.Watch my hands,ok?"Zarathose flew his hands in many fluid moment and finally with a snap of his fingers there was a small flash of fire and then in his hands he held a golden bracelet with a strange Celtic symbol on it."It's the symbol of the moon...it'll keep you safe.He said as he handed the bracelet to Gabriel."Keep it close."
