Do we still have free items even though our main accounts have lasted for a long time? Or is it just for newly created avatars?

I assume it's more of a recruiting thing. Maybe they've noticed that lots of new members join but few stay -- likely because they feel poor. By giving a *tour* they may become addicted to one or more aspects of Gaia hence retaining them. At least that's how I see it. cool
