Terry McGinnis Speaking of Michael Cerveris, it's a damn shame that he was in a semi-musical episode of Fringe and sang not a note.

Terry McGinnis Speaking of Michael Cerveris, it's a damn shame that he was in a semi-musical episode of Fringe and sang not a note. That was quite the crime, although a lackluster episode so I'm not surprised. I'm wondering if those were Lance and Jasika's real voices, they were pretty damn good. This episode did completely cement that Anna Torv couldn't act if her life depended on it. Not only does she have to spend most of her time concentrating on keeping a steady accent, she coudn't spare the energy to pull off the noir lines they gave her. They wanted Bogart and she was the same, bland, startled deer she always is. Also, that nurse was a dead ringer for Nurse Ratched, so props to them for that.

Didn't watch the trailer, but I did check out the Wikipedia page for Human Centipede, and am absolutely baffled as to who thought that this was a good idea. I'm even further baffled as to how enough people liked it to get a sequel made. I love horror movies, but s**t like this and Hostel and the Saw sequels are killing the genre.

What pisses me off even more is just how video games catch more s**t with Violence, then these films do with there sudo snuff torture. To me a true horror film is something that really make you scared, I for get the film, but when I was younger I saw a film that scared me so bad I didn't want to enter a dark room with out the lights on.

There's always going to be a lot of bad horror movies out there and they'll always outnumber the good ones. Yesterday at work we were trying to make space to get rid of of a shelf, which meant that we'd have to pretty much halve the size of the horror section.
So my buddy and I took a good hard look at what was actually in there and what we could safely pull and sell off without anyone actually missing it. It took about ten minutes to pull fifty titles.
Which isn't to say that we are by any means living in a bad time for horror movies; we aren't. Sure the torture porn subgenre is chugging along and the classic tropes are being absconded with to make teen "romances," but there is no shortage of good movies (most of them coming from overseas). [REC], anything Rob Zombie makes, Let the Right One In, Martyrs, The Midnight Meat Train, Paranormal Activity, and so on.

Paranormal Activity was a bit of a disappointment to me. Too predictable and the characters were annoying. Was anyone really upset at the guy getting killed?
I did enjoy Pandorum though...those are the last two horror movies I saw.

Christina honey, you know I've loved you since Mi Reflejo, but I'm just not buying Not Myself Tonight. It's just Dirrrty for 2010 by way of Madonna's Express Yourself. Fetish wear stopped being edgy when Jean Paul Gaultier started trawling the scene- back when you were in the Mouseketeers with Britney and Justin. Kissin' on the girls? Really? That's really not going to earn you points in the wake of The Veronicas, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. Every time someone jumps on the bandwagon it just cheapens legitimate expression, so please just leave it alone. I'm going to go back and listen to Fighter to remember the good times. Once Bad Romance is done, of course.

Chris Powell Was anyone really upset at the guy getting killed? oh yeah, even more so with that guy's completely idiotic machismo. "This is my house God Damn it! And I'll take care of it!" Really? after seeing a ouij (Sp?) board light up, I'd be calling a specialist.

confused The Mac game library is not nearly as extensive as the PC game library, to put it mildly.
