(15-3) + (7-8 ) = 11 damage. Prosper is at -4 health.
Unfortunately, all the pep talks in the world couldn't make up for sheer bad luck. Prosper was stuck in the gut, hard. Blood splattered from his mouth, and he dropped like a stone.
For a second, Jinn was horrified that she'd once again failed him- that she'd lost her beloved furball. But to her relief, he still twitched. Quickly, she recalled him. She set the still-unconscious Larvesta by the water, and turned her gaze to the smug Sandshrew. The girl rose, her head barely scrapping the top of the cave. With careful precision, she unwrapped her belt- actually a thick rope massive knots at both ends- and held it taunt in her hands. She narrowed her eyes. "I don't like you," she said bluntly.
And with that, she swung her foot forward, aiming to punt the little b*****d.
((Didn't know quite the proper calculations for an attack on a defending turn, so I improvised; if it's incorrect, tell me. Also, don't know the parameters for a person attacking a Pokemon, so I'm just rolling because.))

(There aren't any ....it depends on the the moderator really. Sometimes we do something as simple as do a 1/5 battle, but in the case of a punt ...I am going to take a greater roll for this one)
The sandshrew watched him drop and smiled lightly. Though he wasn't expecting that flash of shadow as he put up his paws in defense as he looks up at the trainer ..he had forgotten that the mankey had one of those.

The Sandshrew soared in a beautiful arch. It was almost worth having Prosper get knocked out to the surprised expression on his face as her foot connected with his stomach and sent him flying. She regretted not getting to use her rope, but the rope was more of a detainer than a deterrent. "And stay there!" she roared.
Jinn blinked. Oh! Right. As fun as that had been, she needed to do something. She couldn't go through the island kicking everything. Her thoughts first strayed to the potions, but she quickly remember the pool the Sandshrew had drank from. She knelt, scooped two handfuls of water, and carefully eased them down Prosper's throat. After a second thought, she poured a little less of the water into what she presumed to be the Larvesta's mouth. She had some skill in this area- helping hungover sailors rehydrate was a much-used skill aboard the Bliss.

It was a good thing she remembered that, because punting didn't always work. A pokemon can be too big and too heavy for such a thing to work, so she was lucky that it did work on the sandshrew. The Mankey would arouse with just a hand fully and he wasn't the only one as the Larvesta would back over to her side.
(I don't get this at all How far away have a crawled I am completely lost)
She would mutter to herself as she got back on her feet.

Prosper slowly stirred, then rose. Memories of the past couple minutes rushed back to him, and he groaned. Another loss, but at least this one hadn't been fatal. He was just getting used to this thing. As he marvelled, her heard the familiar rhyming tones, and realized his trainer must have revived her too! Quickly, he sat up, turning to the Larvesta and pleading.
/Please don't be hasty, I feared for your safety You've not been out long, And- oh, Jinn, come on!/
This last one was snapped. For Jinn, totally unable to understand their odd way of communication, had decided she was done with this nonsense. Parley be damned and crossed. Reaching for her Pokebell, she quickly pelted it at the Larvesta. She did not want to risk fighting that thing again, or Prosper getting hurt.

The Larvesta didn't even get a to answer rhyme as she was hit on the head by something round. She looked over at it quite puzzled, but then she felt herself seemingly a single ...trying to be turned to a double as she disappears into the pokeball. It would rock once, and it would rock twice, and with a ping ...the Larvesta had paid the price.
Jinn had captured her.

Jinn war-whooped, and picked up the ball. "Yes yes yes yes y- OW!" Prosper had thrown himself across the cave, squeaking indignantly and jerking at her hair.
/I was talking to her! Why did you do that?!/ The Mankey seemed to think Jinn had offended his honor, and was highly displeased. He was going to convince the Larvesta to join them! With a sonnet!
The girl, meanwhile, was having none of that. She yanked him off her and glared. "Hey! None of that! Chill! We'll deal with your buggy girlfriend later." Her stare was fierce.
Prosper frowned, but relented. He'd apologize on his captain's behalf latter.
Once again, Jinn sighed. Crisis averted. She glanced down at the pool, briefly morose. If only she'd brought a bottle or something of the sort. Still, it couldn't hurt. Jinn bent down, and took a deep draft of the water. it was cool and refreshing, but would it be of any use to her mildly bruised body.
Well, either way, it wasn't time to linger. Unfortunately, she was pretty sure hher rope wouldn't reach the little like she could see at the top of a hole. Apparently, they were stuck down here for a bit. She sighed- at least there were plenty of options. This place was something of a warren. "Let's go, fuzzball," she said cheerfully, re-tying her rope. Prosper clambered up her body, clinging to her shoulder. She took off down a tunnel that she didn't kick the Sandshrew into.

Jinn too would feel that her injuries faded away. Fresh water had a healing quality to it that the girl was getting a very good chance to enjoy. As all around them the sound of the tunnel would echo, but one way to find ..the way out of a tunnel is look for a breeze ...as the one that they were currently following would start to arch upwards.
It was only pure luck that they would miss the hot body of a Heatmor as it came through another tunnel and towards the water source to drink.

Grey Moonfang IV [CRITICAL! +1 TO PONYTA'S DEFENSE ROLLS!]Regret would find the attack of his Bronzor failing dismally in the face of the Ponyta. Confusion? He didn't have time to be confused, he was too busy being terrified!
Legs shaking like twigs trying to hold up a brick, the Ponyta's quivering would soon spread to the rest of his body, forcing him to shut his eyes tight. Mane flickering in the wind, his tail would wave from side to side. Suddenly strength would go into his legs...and perhaps only his legs...
Kicking off the ground the Ponyta would race forward, barrelling passed both Trainer and Pokemon as the air began to glitter around him. The Fire-Type would dash right by the pair without ever touching them...but in his wake would arrive a barrage of glittering stars at speeds so high they couldn't possibly miss. A Swift attack.
Ponyta [M] Lv 2 Nature: Timid Stats: HP:14/PP:18/ATK:8/DEF:7/SPD:9/SP-ATK:8/SP-DEF:8 MOVES: - Growl - Tackle - Swift ((I hope you don't mind calculating I don't quite grasp the concept of it just yet.)) Bronzor attempted to deflect the stars in other directions by whacking them with it's steel body. Regret and Bronzor thought that surely if the stars were hit with precise timing and accuracy they wouldn't do much.

Jinn and Prosper carefully, made here way through the tunnels. They hadn't encountered anything yet, but the girl was doing her best to be as quiet as she could. At least she could feel a breeze she hoped was to the north- if she was calculating correctly, that had been the direction she'd been travelling before the Sandshrew had so rudely interrupted them. Then again, they were underground, and this place was, quite frankly, weird. Who knew if the directions were the same here? Or maybe this breeze was the breath of some massive leviathan...
Nah. The breathe would have been warmer and more intermittent. She hoped.

Mildly, Jinn wondered how she was able to walk mostly upright in this cave. She knew she was rather short, and she still had to slouch... but what was in this place that was so big?
She began to walk a little faster.

(Peek a boo ...I see you)
A voice would call from above. Though Prosper would hear the words in it, it would probably freeze Jinn's heart cold.
"Sandshrew ...sand"
He would drop down in front of them as he shook a few precious droplets of water off of his paw. He had made a quick visit back to the spot to find them gone, but he had taken advantage of their vacancy. Besides, it wasn't like they could escape him down here ...he was the master of this place.
Underground was his life as he smiles at them and stood up straight. He was more than ready for another go.
(Happy to see you are still around, and I won't allow that female to kick me away again)
He wouldn't smile at those words ...as he looks at Jinn coldly.

Male Poochyena (Fang) lvl:3/Jolly Hp: 7/16 Pp: 16 Att: 9 Def: 8 Spd: 8 Sp Att: 6 Sp Def: 7 Moves: Tackle, Dark Pulse 8/200 Kane reached down and picked up the pokeball. Fang probably had a reason for this but the boy was disappointed he wouldn't be able to catch his dream Ponyta. Shaking his head, he shrugged and then gave Fang a pat on the head for winning. Alright now that they were out of pokeballs, it was time to continue forward and try to find the rare bone they had been sent to get. Shrugging, he then walked forward wondering what he was getting himself into...Fang padded at Kane's side. His trainer wouldn't get mad and the Poochyena had seen the expression on the Cubone's face before it vanished into the pokeball. It had been happy to be captured, surprisingly. The dark pokemon continued walking, ears forward alert for any dangers. Backpack// x1 Potion [10/10]

((No damage calculation needed honestly. It hit, Swift is an attack that doesn't miss, but I can already tell that no damage was actually dealt.))Precise timing nothing, each of the glittering stars would strike the Bronzor with perfect accuracy...then bounce off the Pokemon's metal hide like nothing. The blow had been well aimed, but that didn't mean it packed the necessary punch behind it.
The Ponyta's solution to this predicament would be to simply keep running, racing around the two in circles of various sizes.
