Luk blinked and knelt to peer at the rune on Lin's bag. "Oh?" he asked curiously. "That's interesting ... do you think if I got a bag that was a bit easier to carry, Lady Rhea might do that for me? Or should I ask her before I get a bag?"
He didn't want to put Rhea out, after all, and he had no idea if it required anything else, or if she would even do it for him. He still didn't know a whole lot about her, after all. Certainly, he had spent the afternoon with her the day before, but they had been talking about his half-sister, not about her.

Miyuki blinked and thought about it. She didn't know how it worked, if getting a bag that was easier to carry did anything to it or not. She also figured Rhea was really nice and wouldn't mind too much, but then again she had babies to look after.
"Maybe ask, because she has babies now and it might make her tired."
Miyuki also didn't know that Rhea in her own unusual way was a bundle of energy. However, her mommy had told her at one of their lessons that magic needed energy, without energy it would not work or make the person more tired.

Luk smiled and nodded, returning the bag to the shelf. "Then I shall wait until I have spoken with her to buy a bag," he decided. "If I don't need to buy a terribly large bag, then I shan't."
Rhea hadn't seemed tired to him the day before, but then he didn't know how she normally was.

Miyuki nodded at this, she agreed that would be good. Even though it was a really nice bag it was kind of on the big side to her.
"Then you can put all sorts of stuff inside, maybe... if Rhea says yes."
But Miyuki was sure she would, why wouldn't she?

"Then I shall find out soon enough," Luk grinned at Miyuki.
Very soon, Artemis was finished with Lin, and asked her to come back later in the week, when he would have something for her and Miyuki to try on.
"Shall we continue on, then?" Earendil asked her, slipping one arm around her shoulders and smiling down at her warmly.

Lin nodded at this suggestion absently, they had what they needed here. She checked back to see where Miyuki and Luk was because she thought she had seen Luk with a bag, but it looked like he put it back.
"Ready to go?" she asked the two of them.
"Yea! Where are we going next?" Miyuki asked eager to see more again.

Earendil chuckled. "Well, I suppose we'll see what the next shop is," he admitted. "I don't know what order the shops are in, or even if they're still all on the same street!"
Luk opened the door and held it for the others. "Then I suppose I'm no further behind than you in knowing the city," he chuckled.

Lin chuckled as she stepped back out into the street, "Then it'll just make it more fun for all of us."
It was like exploring the place all over again in some fashion.
"Maybe the next shop will be the candy shop!" Miyuki announced as she joined her parents.
It wasn't surprising she thought this, she was a child and candy was always a good thing.

"Maybe," Earendil chuckled as they all headed over to the next shop. "I guess we'll find out."
Unfortunately, the next shop was not the sweet shop. It was the woodsmith's. There was a sign outside, a large wooden sign, beautifully carved; but it wasn't hanging on the shop: it was on the ground, leaning against the wall, ready to be put up, but not up yet. In the window were many carvings, and through the window they could see other items that were ready for sale: tables and chairs and chests of drawers and jewelry boxes and so on.
Earendil looked over at the others. "Do we want to head inside?" he asked them.

Lin looked thoughtful, "I don't see why not. Just for a small peek."
She figured a small one wouldn't hurt, and Luk and Miyuki would probably enjoy it.

Earendil nodded. "All right, then." He reached for the door and opened it for the others. "After you."
Luk let Miyuki lead the way into the shop, but this time he didn't bow to her - since she hadn't taken it so well the first time.

Skipping inside, Miyuki inhaled the scent of wood, by far one of her favourite scents. She wandered around curiously, Miyuki didn't own any wooden toys to speak of, and more often than not she was kept too busy to think about toys.
Lin wandered in after Miyuki, she liked looking at the carved objects and enjoyed seeing the difference between a work she saw here and a work she had seen somewhere else.

Luk also looked around a bit. Wood carvings were something he was familiar with, as was the furniture, but the designs were different from what he was used to, and he took some time to look closely at the carvings.
Earendil also wanted to just look around, though he wasn't looking for anything in particular.
"What do you think, Miyuki?" he asked, looking down at her.

Miyuki looked up at her ada thoughtfully, "It's all pretty... really pretty."
Otherwise there wasn't anything that grabbed her attention. She liked the jewelery boxes but she thought her mommy's box was prettier.

Earendil smiled. "Yes, it is," he murmured, looking around again. "Sometimes I think that everything shown in the shops here is quite pretty. If I had a reason other than that I like the things here to buy them, I might spend quite a bit of money ... but I have no reason, so my money is safe."
He smiled at Miyuki. "It's best not to spend money on things that you don't need. Then you know you're not wasting it."
