TtheHero Hm, curious.
I may have stated before that although I have to rely on a neighbor's connection to even be online, there IS a working internet connection in this very apartment that I live in, acquired by my sister-in-law, or her son, I dunno.
I have also stated that none of them have even bothered to consider connecting my wireless router to the modem, cause, oh I dunno, they can totally benefit from it, aside from me as well, y'know. mad
Anyway, my niece was on their computer one day, and actually fell for one of those "antivirus scans", and that little slip-up essentially doinked the computer. Which put any of their internet communiques out of commission, while I still at least have internet access, albeit impaired.
Seeing as how they spurned my request to hook up the router for the good of all, one could see this as "Oh how the mighty have fallen".
Now they got a fresh new computer, with Windows 7, so they're free to resume thier daily regimen of Myspace, Farmville and other things of that ilk. And would ya believe it, now THAT new computer has up and gone haywire!
"Oh how the mighty have fallen... AGAIN", indeed.

Last episode of Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni GO GO GO. Tomorrow I guess I start on the next one. Which one is that, Rei or Kai? Ah well, I'll find out.
Or maybe I should just read the manga. Apparently it's much, much scarier.

I'm just surprised this new comp of thiers started giving problems so soon!
Maybe it's because it's an HP brand. My first laptop that broke down was an HP, and they say there's something about HP computers, a problem of some sort.
That and they seem to occasionally leave the computer in that Sleep/Standby mode instead of turning it off.
