Layna murmured, feeling a Lycan holding her tightly. Who....Ceon... But, he was gone, wasn't he? How could he be alive? How could he...? She buried her face into the fur, crying softly, unsure of what was going on. There was a side that was so horribly angry, and then a side that wanted to cry out the misery and move on to what was now. But her heart was also confused. An entire year had passed by, with only Razu there to comfort her mourning heart. With Ceon here....she was utterly at her wit's end.

Ceon kept rubbung his head against Layna's, and licking her occasionally. He wrapped his furry tail around her and whimpered, wanting his Layna back. He had been asleep this whole time, but for how long?

((Honestly, you guys should write a movie. This is tear-jerking. (Well, not literally. But it might be to someone without a Y chromosome.) And judging by the presence of a certain Razu, I'm assuming a dramatic twist is soon to follow.))

Daiguren pushed off of the ground in the park as he made his way into the city. He quickly vanished just as he had appeared.

"This is...Ceon?" Layna murmured, blinking. It was so hard for her to believe that she was touching someone who she had thought died in her arms. "This can't be real..." She whispered softly, tugging on the fur with a desperate, meek sort of strength.

Ceon reverted to his human form and kissed Layna's cheek gently. "Yes Layna, it's Ceon. It's real in every possible way. And I'm here right now, holding you in my arms." Ceon held Layna's hand and rubbed one of his fingers around the ring that Ceon gave her.

Layna felt her heart sink, and she pulled back. "You...You...IDIOT!!" She snapped, smacking him across the face with enough force to send him reeling. "A year! A year of nothing! You don't know what that's like. Razu was the only one who took care of me, who kept me from doing stupid things." She glared at Ceon, her grey eyes whirling.

The force of the slap sent Ceon flying back a foot. He sat up, his hand to his cheek. "...I deserved that......I'm sorry I left, Layna. I thought I was dead. One day my eyes opened, and nowI'm here. I only fought Daiguren so I could finally keep him from hurting us. I thought I had a chance of killing him........" Ceon took a step forward to Layna.

"You're an idiot! Every turn you were getting shot, or hurt...And what does that make me think, Ceon? That it's safe?" She whispered harshly, her arms wrapping around her exposed body tightly. She shivered, but not from the cold. She was so angry at him, even though sh knew she should be happy he was alive.

"I got shot and hurt because I was protecting you and Gabriel! I made your life safe! And I'd get shot a hundred times more to keep you safe!" ceon stepped closer to her, disbelief in his eyes. He knew Layna would be upset, but he didnt think she'd yell at him.

Layna glared balefully back at him, itching to bite, kick, scratch the person in front of her. Memories assailed her mind, showing a similar scene, but she had been so small, barely more than a pup. Her father had said the same thing, that he had wanted to protect them. But then he had gone and got himself killed. Then there was no one there to protect them... Layna growled, daring him to come closer, her eyes narrowing.

Ceon's eyes swelled up, "Layna, I just wanted to keep you and Gabriel safe. You were so fragile at the time, I didn't want anything to happen to you. Lanyna.....you know I love you." Ceon then made the mistake of stepping closer.

Layna snarled, black fur covering her human skin, stopping the shivering and easing the embarrassment. Her claws struck out, raking along Ceon's arm, before she sprang to her feet, her eyes livid. She bared her teeth, claws exposed, ready to strike.

Ceon yelped as the claws left a gash in his arm, but slowly healing over. He stepped back and let the lycan inside of him loose. Gray fur covered him quickly and he outstretched his claws. Attack me again, I DARE you said Ceon.
