"Da...Daddy?" Gabriel blinked, looking at the figure. It didn't look like his father, it didn't smell like his father, but the voice threw him off. "Daddy?" He sounded once more. He looked at his mother, but found no answer upon her weeping face. He whined, clearly confused on what to do or how to act. Layna felt a growl welling up, but she forced it down, closing her eyes, trying to gather her thoughts, but found it difficult. Her husband...? She whimpered, trying desperately to pull her thoughts into a coherent memory. But it eluded her completely, desperate to shy away from the pain.

Ceon smiled with hope in his eyes, "Yes Gabriel. It's daddy! Do you remember me?" Ceon walked forward and moved his arms slowly towards Gabriel.

Razu put out a hand to stop Ceon,"Ceon..please stop there. You are going to stress Layna out more then she already is..."

Layna closed her eyes, and released Gabriel into Razu's arm, her own arms wrapping around herself tightly, grimacing as her teeth lengthened without her permission. She pulled herself away from her son and Razu and dropped to the ground, breathing heavily. This was the second time she had barely any say over her Lycan side, and her mind, her human mind was slowly shutting itself down against the pain. Growls issued from her mouth, her teeth clamped, her lengthened nails digging into the soil.

He glared at Razu, anger boiling up inside him. "Screw off razu. I want to be alone with Layna and my son." Ceon then dropped on his knees to Layna's level and held her tight, "Layna, my love. I AM your mate. I was the one that kept you safe when you were attacked. I was the one that gave you our son!"

Inside Razu knew this was what his bad feeling had been when he woke up. He put on a brave face though. He knelt down and petted Layna trying to calm her down,"Ceon. Please just back off. Give Layna some space. Please. She is obviously shocked." He held Gabe close to his chest almost protectively.

Layna stared forward, her eyes hazing silver. Growls and snarls racked her, but she did not move from where she was. She was frozen, holding herself back, the ounce of humanity she hung on to calling for her to just stay still. To just stay calm. But those thoughts were beginning to desert her, even with Razu's petting. The only thing she knew was that a Demon was here...A demon who sounded like someone she had watched die.

Ceon began to sob as he held Layna. He looked at her once and kissed her more passionately than he had ever done in his life. He whispered gently to her, like when he comforted her when she was down, "Would I ever lie to you? I came back for you. I came back for Gabriel. I came back to be wih my family."

Razu pushed aside Ceon knowing Layna was at her wits end. He stared into her eyes trying to link minds with her,"Sorry Ceon. Layna let me help you gain control. Please."

Layna glared back into eyes she could not register as friend or foe. Her lips thrummed, knowing that had happened, but unsure how to act toward it. She let out a whiffling howl, similar to if she had screamed out in a humane form. Her body wriggled, straining against human skin, straining to bite, to claw, screaming for bloodshed. Two equally strong sides opposed that side. Her own, and Razu's mind pushing down. She quieted, her lips drawn back in a feral snarl, daring.

Ceon stood up[ in haste, the fire of anger now an inferno, and his eyes were now flaring red. He glared at Razu with an open mouth, his sharpened teeth blaring. THis was HIS family. "I said.....BACK.........OFF!" he screamed as he zipped forward and sent a kick at Razu's side.

Razu covered Gabe's body over with his own making sure the kick couldn't even come near hitting Gabe. The result was being kicked in the back and sent flying because he hadn't had a chance to brace himself anymore. Purposely landing on his back with Gabe on top perfectly safe from any harm. Razu stayed in place his face scrunched up in pain.

Layna buckled over, a snarl ripping through as she stared at her pup's...her son's face, fear in his eyes. She felt her nail dig into the soil, thick roots flattening under her hands. HEr body braced itself as she felt bones crack and her body bulk with Lycan strength. She was so horribly angry. She felt Nebiros's promise echo in her mind. 'The strength a mother needs to protect her son...' She bounded forward, barreling into Ceon, pushing him to the ground, her nails digging into flesh.

Ceon fell onto the groun but used the force to kick Layna over him. Ceon jumped up to the ground. Spiky stubs were sticking out of his arms and shoulders. "Layna, I dont want to hurt you!"
