Well, that could have gone better. Prosper was thrown totally off-balance by the quick little Sandshrew, and for not the first time, went tumbling head-over-heels. Jinn would have laughed if this hadn't been a battle; this was becoming something of a running habit. Still holding the fiery bug, she said quickly, "Recover, now!"
The Maneky managed to roll somewhat back to his feet, though he couldn't help feeling dizzy. Wasn't he supposed to be the fighting Pokemon here? Still he turned and looked at the pugnacious Sandshrew. Whatever his opponent was winding up for, it couldn't be good. Without a second glance, he turned tail and bolted, hoping to pre-empt the coming attack.

The Sandshrew's fist would glow with power as the pokemon balled up it's claws. Striking downwards while still holding onto the pokemon's arm he had hoped to keep the Mankey from wiggling away as he aimed his fist downward with a Focus Punch aimed straight for the pokemon's chest.
Power curling and growing around the limb as he struck at his now fallen opponent as he felt the pokemon's sharp twist as it tries to get out of the way.

Speed ......something was rushing towards them with speed as the boy decided not to continue into the mountains just yet. Instead, he would move back towards the desert and it's flames as something would rush along the land dragging in it's wake .....a bone.
A male Cubone this time ....was showing off his spunk as he made his run across the area.

[CRITICAL! +1 TO PONYTA'S DEFENSE ROLLS!]Regret would find the attack of his Bronzor failing dismally in the face of the Ponyta. Confusion? He didn't have time to be confused, he was too busy being terrified!
Legs shaking like twigs trying to hold up a brick, the Ponyta's quivering would soon spread to the rest of his body, forcing him to shut his eyes tight. Mane flickering in the wind, his tail would wave from side to side. Suddenly strength would go into his legs...and perhaps only his legs...
Kicking off the ground the Ponyta would race forward, barrelling passed both Trainer and Pokemon as the air began to glitter around him. The Fire-Type would dash right by the pair without ever touching them...but in his wake would arrive a barrage of glittering stars at speeds so high they couldn't possibly miss. A Swift attack.

Prosper forcefully broke free of the Sandshrew's grip, avoiding the glowing punch with some effort. He swung back around, glaring at his opponent with furious red eyes. Why had the Sandshrew decided to attack them so suddenly? Why were all of them like this? For a creature basically raised in captivity, it didn't make a lick of sense. Wild Pokemon, he decided then and there, were weird.
But this was not the time to dwell on the confusing philosophies of the wild. This, as the loud yell of Jinn reminded him, was the time to fight. Using their relative closeness to his advantage, he thrust forward, lunging with a Scratch attack.

It was another Cubone but luckily it had ran right past the group. Letting out a sigh of relief the boy continued forward, deeper into the desert. Backpack// x1 Potion, x1 Poke ball [8/10]

The sandshrew's claws would hit the earth with enough force that the area before his fist would create a crater in the sand no bigger than his paw itself. His eyes would shift lightly as he felt that he had lost his hold on the Mankey's paw and would immediately lean backwards hoping that the attack that came was aimed high instead of low. For if it was high, it would find only the air to slash at, but if it's low ...where he bend back ....it would take out his legs and he would find himself flat on his back.
It all depend on where his opponent has aim.

Though it would seem that they would walk back into it's path only a few moments later. The pokemon this time was rolling like a ball towards them ...as it would seem that it's running had turn swiftly to that of an attack. The little ball was heading straight for the Kane and if his poochyena was still by his side ..him as well.
This was going to be a very interesting looking little charge for a Cubone.

That quick movement to side would save him ....as the pokemon would continue to roll and roll and roll. Unless he made it a point to stop it, the Cubone would literally roll away.

8/200 Fang on the other hand saw that it was another Cubone. He charged towards the pokemon yelping at it to stop. It was strange for a Cubone to be rolling but he felt that the pokemon would make a suitable boyfriend for the psycho girl one they had managed to capture.Kane just stared at it puzzled. THe pokemon would uncurl as it's head was in a dizzy as it flops on it's back. The roll was done. Climbing back to his paws slowly ....he would try and get himself back on his feet. As he turns back towards the sound as he hunker down in defense as he push his face into the dirt while he tries his best to get himself to stop seeing double for a moment.
