((Looks like its just me and you Mitsu. Unless you are going to leave as well.))
Meowth took the sandwhich and unwrapped the celophane from it and sniffed it carefully before taking a bite. Imediatly he brighted up. "Hey its Roast Beef! And its great." For once Meowth was glad that he got to eat a regular meal. It seemed that his trainer had enough money on him to keep him and his pokemon feed and happy.
"Yup, my moms a good cook. Even if these are sandwhiches. Who knows maybe she will send us some more food eh?" Dante said happily taking another bite. He and Meowth ate and watched Shiva catch her own lunch of fish in the lake while Apollo grazed nearby.

(( Leaving probably soon, but I'm not going to post much while I'm here. ))
Seth had left as most of them had already. He had already missed two contests and was really looking forwrds to the next. He had found out from his resources that they were holding a special contest during the Cherry Blossom Festival. He would be there, and so would everyone else.

I can't wait untill I beat Winona. With Proton, I'm a sure win! He thought to himself, I'll get a ride home in style! Mike stretched out his arms and shook his head to snap himself back into reality. "So how's that train sounding Mistu?" He asked, his tone a bit on the anxious side.

"Good luck with your gym battles," Kasiya said, smiling at the two of them. "We'll meet again soon, I'm sure!" She turned in the direction of the Pokemart, looking up at the blue sky.
"Uh, yeah, good luck!" Jaeshan added as well, giving a slight bow. "Kassie! Wait for me!" he called, running after her.

((Mornin'! ^^ )) "Come on, Vulpix," Keegan said, standing up and stretching. "Let's go exploring around this town for a bit, okay" he said. Vulpix looked sad a having to leave his new friend behind, but he knew he'd see her again soon. "We won't be long," Keegan added as reassurance.
He started walking north, reading a sign that said there was a lake nearby. He felt like he should check it out, and perhaps find a water-type Pokemon nearby. His two Pokemon played along at his heels, playing a game of tag or hide-and-seek or something. The two seemed to have become fast friends, which made Keegan very happy.

A water type, huh? he thought as he walked along, his hands behind his head. It's quite out of character for me to use one, but having a diverse team would do wonders. He really enjoyed this area, it was fresh and clean. He soon exited the city limits, finding tallish grass off to the side. His curiosity got the better of him, and he made his way through it, wondering what sort of Pokemon could be hiding nearby.
He'd walked a good ten-twenty meters when he suddenly tripped over a large rock, falling face-first into the grass. He pulled himself to his knees, checking out the tear in the left knee of his trousers but finding himself uninjured. Glancing around he noticed he'd just missed landing on a nest with three large white eggs inside. "Thank goodness," he said, feeling relieved.
His relief wouldn't last very long, though.

"SPEEAAAAROOOW!"
Keegan could hear a loud, angry squaking. It seemed the owner of the nest had returned, and was not pleased. He looked up to see an angry female Spearow divebomb him out of mid air, aiming her Peck attack for his easy-to-spot, flaming red hair.
"Sweet mother of-!" he cried, rolling to the side (away from the nest) as her beak slammed the ground where he'd just been sitting. She scrambled to her clawed feet, flapping her short wings and screeching angrily, her eyes formed into tiny slits.
"I-I didn't mean t-to!" he plead with the angry bird Pokemon. "I was walking...I fell...I swear I wasn't trying to steal your eggs!"
She wasn't convinced as she took to the air again, flying straight for him once more.

Keegan closed his eyes, bracing for the impact of her sharp beak. When it didn't come, he opened his eyes, looking around frantically. Electrike had jumped in front, and taken the attack for him. He now stood protectively in front of his trainer, growling fiercely. Vulpix stood nearby, waiting for an opportunity to help.
"She's too angry to listen to reason!" Keegan yelled. "Subdue her with your Thunder Wave!"
Electrike took a step foward, releasing a weak jolt of static electricity. It struck the Spearow, and she fell to the ground, looking angrier than ever.
"We're not here to steal your eggs!" Keegan protested, hoping to get through to the raging sparrow.
Keegan may not have been trying to steal the eggs, but someone else most certainly was.

The Spearow hopped up and down, screeching madly as it tried its best to fend of the paralysis. No one could have predicted that a sly creature chose this time to slither up to the unguarded nest, its tongue poking out of its mouth periodically to taste the air.
While Keegan and Electrike were preoccupied with the Spearow, and the Spearow preoccupied with Keegan and Electrike, it seemed to be the perfect opportunity for a crafty Ekans to come out of hiding to steal an egg or two. The serpent Pokemon hadn't noticed the Vulpix waiting patiently on the sidelines, and it also didn't notice when the small fox started to run towards the new intruder and slam into it with all its strength (more or less a Struggle). Staggered, the Ekans reared up, hissing at its attacker.
Vulpix reared up as well, and unleashed a mighty roar that didn't seem like it could come from such a small creature.

Keegan, Electrike and the Spearow all turned to stare at Vulpix, their eyes wide. Spearow seemed to flip out even more at the sight of an Ekans going after her eggs, but her paralysis seemed to be keeping her from doing anything. Electrike dashed over, putting himself between the nest and Ekans, and growling to let the snake know that it would have to go through him to get those eggs.
Vulpix too was growling, the Ekans had recoiled for a moment or two after the Roar. It seemed to regain composure as it suddenly rose up from the coils of its long body, sending a volley of Poison Sting at the fox.
Vulpix was struck several times, and he winced, but quickly recovered, opening his mouth and covering the lower portion of Ekans' body with smoldering embers at the command of his trainer.

"That's it, Vulpix! Teach that egg-theif a lesson!" Keegan cried as he watched the Ekans slither up to Vulpix and attempt to wrap its long body around Vulpix. The fox danced out of the way, awaiting his next command. Keegan knew he couldn't use Heat Wave on the Ekans, for the heat from the attack would cook those eggs in seconds.
"Use Ember again!" he said, and Vulpix spewed the embers once more, only to be caught up in another frenzy of Poison Sting. Vulpix looked uneasy, he'd been poisoned by the attack. Fortunately though, Ekans had been burned by the embers as well, its skin sported several patches of charred skin. Both Pokemon cried out weakly from their ailments.
"Oh, Vulpix!" Keegan cried, turning his eye to Ekans. "You're mine!" he yelled, an empty Pokeball in his hands. He flung it quickly, and it struck the snake on the back of its head and sucked him inside. The Pokeball hit the ground, rocking back and forth. Four pairs of eyes watched it intently, none of them daring to look away.

Click. It was over. Ekans was caught.
"Wow," Keegan said, brushing the sweat from his forhead. He looked at the Spearow, who'd calmed down considerably once she realized who the real bad guy had been. "I told you," he said, bending down to scoop up the little bird. "I'm sorry about the Thunder Wave, but I couldn't have you pecking my eyes out," he chuckled. The Spearow chirped - a much, MUCH nicer sound than the angered squawking from earlier.
Vulpix hobbled over to his trainer, looking rather tired. The poison was still draining his health, and he had a burned Ekans to tend to as well. "What do you say we make a quick trip to the Pokemon Center for healing, and Electrike will stay here and guard the nest. Sound good?" he asked the Spearow, who nipped his finger gently, which passed for a yes.
"Good," he smiled. "Okay Vulpix, return!" he said, calling back the injured fox, and unfolding his bycicle from his pack. He set the Spearow in the basked, turning to Electrike. "Guard that nest," he said, and after an affirmation from Electrike, he peddaled as fast as he could back to Vermilion City.

Keegan felt as though he'd never ridden so fast in his life. His chest was on fire as he pulled up to the Pokemon Center, practically jumped off his bike, grabbed the Spearow and dashed inside. He didn't know if it was healing Vulpix's poison, or getting the mother Spearow back to her eggs that had him that driven. Either way, he didn't want to leave Electrike out in the wilderness by himself like that.
"The...Spearow...isn't...mine..." he huffed, practically passing out on the desk in front of Nurse Joy, "...but...she...needs healing. And my Vulpix...Ekans....here..."
Joy took the Spearow, and had to lunge to catch the two Pokeballs as Keegan practically threw them at her. He staggered back to the couch, and collapsed.

Ryka looked around. everyone had disappeared. Except for Seth, who was standing at the entrance of the Pokemon Center, seeming to be thinking about something. You know, I still need to beat Lt. Surge.. but I don't think we can.. Ryka thought, looking over at Vixen, who was looking off into the distance. Ryka walked over and picked her up. "It's alright. You'll see your cuddle-muffin again someday."
'CUDDLE-MUFFIN?!?!' Vixen told her with a sharp bark. Ryka just laughed as she walked over to Seth.
"Well, it's been a great reunion, but I'm sure you're going too, right? Well, I hope I'll see you around then.." Ryka said with a bit of disappointment. She gave him a little hug and walked outside, Vixen in her arms and her knapsack on her waist.

Keegan heard the 'ding' of the Pokemon being fully healed. He recovered his two Pokeballs, and the Spearow, grateful to have her full range of movements back, happily perched on his head and he exited the Pokemon Center.
He noticed Ryka walking away, and he grabbed his bike and hurried to catch up with her.
"Where are you going?" he asked, his immediate quest forgotten.
