Though Zarathose was no longer a vampire he had still kept his body and his fangs.Slowly he sank his teeth into her neck.Blood flowed slowly into his mouth.He recognised this taste,she had always tasted different.She tasted...Sweet.Deep in his heart he began to remember more and more of who he was.And what they were.

Layna gripped his arms tightly, gasping softly. She could feel every pulse of her heart...and his? She placed one hand against his chest, and felt the beating of a heart. Tears flowed as she realized this. But she didn't want the feeling that coursed through her to end yet. She gently pressed her hand to the back of his neck, forcing fangs deeper still into her neck. It was not pain she felt with this.

Zarathose felt her pull him in harder.He bit down harderhis heart raced and his mind wandered.He soon pulled away."No more,If I take to much you will die."His breath was heavy,he licked away the blood from her neck.Slowly courage built up with in him,his mind pushing him to say the words he wanted until..."Layna...I will always love you."He couldn't have stopped himself,as soon as he felt he might have the strength to say it it just slipped out.

Layna leaned against him, her eyes wide, a small laugh passing through her lips. She was gasping, but did not feel weak. She closed her eyes, though, feeling strange. His words words made her heart tremble. In her minds eye, she saw three people. One, dead, the other, confessing love to her, and the third, bloody-lipped, speaking softly in her ear. She gently pulled from his arms, and fell from the branch, landing softly upon her feet on the ground. "I'm not running away...I promise..." She whispered, staggering slightly.

Zarathose smiled and whipped his mouth but lost his balance and fel from the treee landing on his back infront of Layna."Ouch."He mouned getting back up."I'm sorry,Did I upset you?I can read your heart beet any more."

Layna slowly shook her head, laughing softly. "No..But my heart hurts...He...Ceon die....Someone else has asked for me...You have someone as well. Jasie. I smell it upon her. She likes you deeply." She said softly, leaning against the tree, as she pressed her hand to her neck. "My son...He's getting big..." She whispered softly, her mind wandering from subject to subject in it's stupor.

Zarathose froze"Layna...I will always love you...And I will always be here for you.We both have a desition to make.Where do our hearts lay.But you will always at least have a peice of mine.Your love killed me,and it brought me back to this relm to try and get you to love me once more...But maybe it's not ment to be...I am leaving this desition to you."He wrapped her in his arms and kissed her gentally."I will follow whatever desition you make."

Layna felt her mind slip for a moment, felt her kiss him back, knowing cruel it must be. She held him tightly, her breath soft as she continued to kiss his lips, continued to feel memories of past love ravage at her, pain her, slice at her, leave her heart in shreds. Her heart pounded erratically as memories of Zarathos and Ceon, both loving her so deeply, pinned her heart to the wall, leaving only an empty shell.

Layna opened her eyes briefly to stare up at him, before they close once more, her knees partially giving way beneath her. She slowly sank from his grasp to the ground, where she sat, her eyes staring at the ground, before they looked up at Zarathos. "I'm alright!" She said with a smile.

Layna took his hand and pulled herself up, briefly sniffing at Zarathos's arm. "You don't smell like him..." She murmured, her steps dancing as she let go of Zarathos and jumped a few steps away.

((This is going to be my last post for the night))
Zarathose walked over and took Layna's hand and began to dance with her around the park,being suave he took the lead of course."Layna...I am soory that I left so long ago.My heart still bleeds,the pain of hell was nothing compared to what I felt when I came back.Knowing that I had broken my promise.But I have returned to try and keep my promise to always be there for you.I have returned from hell it's self to keep that promise."
