"Yeah but we lack video footage of such antics. I'm sure they would be very priceless and a good laugh. Though...she doesn't like cameras on her too much for some years now." Another issue risen from bad circumstances he was sure. He probably should have done more to break some of her habits but he had chosen empathy over tough love. "Her father used to videotape everything. Hundreds of memory chips full of video."

"I told you not to run from me, I'll get you eventually!" Or at least until bioware pain got the better of her. But her legs were working perfectly fine right now and that meant Joey was getting a run for his money quite literally. Of course him running into Joey served as a great opportunity for her and she quite literally lept on him which took all three of them down into a pile. She was preoccupied however threatening Joey with said butterknife. Other around them seemed amused more than startled. "Good job...Pike was it? You stopped the rat."

"This is what happens when you try to out do me, put ideas into my head, and everyone else who is close to me is trying to keep me busy. I personally think you should blame them, otherwise I would be sleeping right now. See how that works." Crossing her arms, butterknife still in hand, she rolled her eyes as he was hiding. "Of course there are better ways. He just doesn't deserve better ways. He started this all...I'm just looking to end it. You know, the lady like way."

"I'm going to excuse your ignorance for you are not a bioengineer." Tucking the butterknife in the pocket of her labcoat she sighed and crossed her arms in half huffy fashion. "Oh fine. Run Joey. I can always get you later when you're least suspecting." Giving a dismissive motion with her hand before letting it rest in folded position once more. But now her attention turned to Pike. "You owe me a coffee for letting him get away."

With some more mumbling she watched Joey flee but didn't continue to chase him. There was no point to chase him down when she knew where to find him later anyway. "I will be wanting it now." Hey, no one said she couldn't exploit caffeine from others. Then a point at him, "You know, shouldn't you be carrying stuff like that around in a safer manner?" Indicating what he was holding of course that had gone flying earlier.

Jackpot. That would work. Thusly she happily followed him with the promise of a coffee refuel. But she rolled her eyes. "And yet you seem to lack the thinking of the possibilities that someone could run into you at any time. I hope you're not into making bombs because you drop one of those and we all get sucked into the lovely vacuum that is space." She shoved her hands into her own pockets as they walked however. Distraction was good. "I'm surprised they even are letting you wander around with something. No doubt operational from the way you're holding it."

"21st century maybe yes but they are no less effective. They're just more flashy now." Making a dismissive noise about it and gave a raise of an eyebrow to him. "For the size of that thing I would hope that it's part of something bigger. Otherwise they need to get you more skilled in working under a microscop with tweezers and teeny teeny chips." Ordering her coffee straight black this time, no need to fancy up. She blew on it a few times as it was handed over before taking a few sips. That was better. "Having a field day I guess if you're building things already."

"If you can work a firecracker, you can make a bomb. Don't sell yourself short." Mmm coffee. They could fuss at her all they wanted to. Just like they probably would when went to her room, jabbed the door shut, unhooked the cameras and turned off the gravity control in there. But she did raise an eyebrow at Pike before giving a short laugh. "Ha, break from being too small? You're cute you know that right?" He was so out of his depth and didn't even know it yet. She supposed that they all went through that awkward space realization period. However a blink though as he more or less shoved it in her face and demanded sound from her. "You're lucky I can whistle." For the sake of interest, she licked her lips and gave him the requested sound.

"well we don't lack footage really. almost every hallway has security cameras now after that whole incident. So technically we could probably get all the antics we wanted as she's chasing him around."

going through some file pages while he was talking, perusing various members of the program for meta and the most likely canidates for an attempt at grafting the new meat and skin over the bioware.

"I got three here so far that look like they might be willing for the grafting tests. none of them have any major things..mostly small replacements like a hand or a foot. nothing too bad and it should be easy to run the tests on a smaller controlled area."

Glancing at his watch a moment.

"But now I'll have to leave your fine company, I got some training to do for the security details. the captain figured to not let my knowledge go to waste and authorized me to train to military standards."


Norrington was laying, mostly disceted, in his vat of nanogoo...but his brain started to register. He was immobilized. the hardware in his systems damn near fried out and what wasn't fried was locked down seven ways from sunday. It was like being back in that medical bay again. his own personal hell.

Slowly, ever so slowly, trying not to come up as blips on the systems monitoring him..poke and prod at the security measures. He wasn't looking for a way out though. this shell that housed him was in no manner to be used any longer. but a way in. a way to contact them, to see if the overall mission had been a success. it probably hadn't. but better to enjoy that then to sit in a new prison of a body.
