Random yes, but I think it was awesome. He just kind of diciplines Tabuu like a child.

Yeah. Though stopping Tabuu's ultimate attack by breaking his wings was pretty awesome.
I was expecting something like his entrance video on the Dojo... >.>

character and beat all the solo events

that would be funny, everyone in the line and just standing there and then he runs and pwns them all.

It seem you can adjust the angle of Wario's forward+A attack...
Has anybody else just discovered any other little tidbits in the attack the characters can do?

All the characters can angle their forward smashes, I believe.
Good for hitting ledge campers.

FallenWarrior92 i've tilted lucario's attacks before but never really understood how. I know you can tilt his forward B. I hit my brother who is a ledge camper like that many times.

BEAT TABUU!
God, he has so many instant kill attacks.
Sonic's appearance was pretty random, but he smashed Tabuu's wing things so it's cool.
Also, I notice Kirby saved the day like four times. GO DRAGOON, CUT OFF THE TOP OF THAT WEIRD SUBSPACE SHIP! That made me happy, because Kirby is so cool.
Now all I have left to unlock is... Toon Link, Jiggly, and Wolf.

Toon Link, Jiggly, and Wolf. Wolf: Go to The Ruins, play through untill you get to the downward elevator platform. Once you get to the BOTTOM, go into the door, fight wold. Toon Link: the forest area 'The Forest' First door you come across on a floating platform. Jiggly: I don't remember.
