Not sure about the Mac equivalents, but it does work on Mac as well. Also, Riven is the hardest and longest of the Myst games; you know that, right? >.>
I'd be getting it for my sister. She recently went on a Myst craze(even though she had never played any of them.)
Of course, that doesn't mean I wouldn't play it. I love Myst. rolleyes No problem. ^^ You could probably go to Best Buy and buy the 10th Anniversary Edition pack [with Myst, Riven and Exile] for like, $10-20 if you wanted. So I played on a TF2 server with a bunch of English and Scottish guys. Their accents were funny, but their teamwork was great. One of the best matches of TF2 I have ever had. Stupid Americans and Canadians.
