GAH! If I only stayed on pure magic... Imagine me using twin blast, anti-magic wisps, or greater magic shield every turn...
Once I get 3-4 skilled casters, and a AP fighter mage, I'll be unstoppable! MUAHAHHAHAHAHA
of course thats like 16 CPs which means 8 dungeons

meh, with our recent spew of monks joining I'd say go with the paladin. That way you don't get stuck with two character that have stats all over the place like a monk/theif or mage/monk would have.

Good point... I dont want another 4 years in the making character...
Hows this-
Solstice Geoffry
Attack- 6 [8] Defense- 1 Combat Dice- 2 Magic- 0 Life- 6 [30] Equip- 2 Abillities- Resistance attack (4), Healing (3) Actions- smash, stunning blow, taunt Spells- N/a Items- longsword
Chips left- 500
I'll simply put one point in SA, and the other in attack, life, or combat dice. It will reflect how Paladins in D&D get turn undead and cleric spells later on in life.
The Special attack would probably be: like Flaming smite, or Blazing Exorcise.

that looks good to me! I forsee alot of taunt being used. You could soak up damage like a sponge with that attack resistance. Though if that the case, I would boost your defense a little as well... say up to 3 or 4.

It's basically gonna be a mage defender... Until mage dies... Then he can dish out decent damage also. Mabye I'll exchange 2 points out of attack to defense...
I have to make a mule to do this right?

Hmmmm, Fargore and I haven't written in the ability to reassign points after dungeons? I know we've talked about it, and I'm fairly sure we both liked it.

Isn't it for every 1 point spent, you can reassign 1 point. No abillity required?

Next time Fargore and I talk I'll ask him, but that sounds about right. Spend a point, move a point. It might get changed to one point per dungeon, but I'm not sure if you'd want to be so hot to change from your spellsword build. The only problem is a lack of good spells that help people like you. How would this one sound to you?
Mana Blade (2 MP) Increases your Attack by your Magic. 1 MP/turn upkeep.
Like a Power Up, it's either on or it's off, no stacking. rofl

Sounds nice... I can do Warrior style damage. And with 1 skilled caster and fighter-mage, I would be able to do smash that round, then singe the next! Without Fighter-mage, it's still uber good because ones like me could deal quite a nasty warrior level smash.
Would skilled caster affect the carry-on cost? Because if it did, this would be the best way for balanced melee mages to save up Mp and still deal damage
But it's okay, I'm not changing builds or anything... But don't be surprised if there's a drunk deathknight, a were-wolf paladin, a love-sick rogue, or a cheating and gambling monk who got kicked out of their order...
Bellamin's problem is slightly more... *Tries to remeber but fails*

Nope, Skilled Actor and Caster only apply to action and spell costs, not other effects (this would include upkeep of this sort).
And hmmmmmmm... ninja

How about a base Attack Stat requirement of 2 or 3 before you can actually use this? Or a maximum Magic Stat? It definitely needs some balancing.
