My name is Amy and I turned 17 last month. I was born Catholic, raised Catholic and live Catholic! I made my Confirmation on May 2, 2008 and my Confirmation saint is Saint Monica!

I live in California and I will be taking my driving test and going on a youth group retreat on Friday, so pray for me!
I am an aspiring writer. I have written two novels, several poems, five short stories and five short plays.
I like to write, read, listen to music, hang with friends, watch T.V., go to the movies, go shopping and going to youth group.
When I grow up, I want to become a mother, a novelist and a political activist.
I want to become an activist for the pro-life movement because unless the woman's life is in grave danger, killing an precious child of God is flat-out wrong and evil.
I am also an advocate of Israel, the NRA, the Coalition To Stop The Use Of Child Soldiers, the military and I want to create an organization called Long Way Home, that will help get homeless veterans off the streets, provide them with physical, mental and even spiritual care and get them back in the workforce.
I even came up with a Bill called Kelsey's Law. Kelsey's Law would require child abusers to wear an ankle or wrist bracelet should they get their child back. The bracelet would tazer them if they try to injure the child, which gives the child enough time to get out of the house, call the police and by the time the abuser wakes up, they will already be in handcuffs. The Bill is still in it's infancy, but with some more research on family law and professional help, it just might work, so pray that it prevails!

For problems with the bill, how will it know the child is being abused and it can be considered cruel and unusual punishment. Specially if said collar could not tell when anger is directed at the child or directed at something else like an inanimate object.

Specially if said collar could not tell when anger is directed at the child or directed at something else like an inanimate object. Abusing an innocent child is cruel and unusual. It's not a collar, it's an ankle bracelet. But that's why I said the bill is still in it's infancy. The reason I came up with the bill is because you know how people put on house arrest have to wear an ankle bracelet? I thought, 'What about abusive parents who get their kids back?' Kelsey's Law was named after three-year-old Kelsey Briggs, whose abusive father brutally murdered her after he got her back. Yes, there are many holes with this bill, which is why I'm gonna need lots and lots of help from professionals. You got any advice?

Yeah, up the punishment to abusive parents to some heay prison time and labor work. Matter of fact stop making prison a breeze period and put the cons to work. I agree abusing a child is wrong, but creative ways of punishment seems very much pointless to me. Straight forward, "You hit your kid, you get 20 years." seems like enough to keep people away from abusing their children. Sadly alot of times discipline, such as spanking, is seen as abuse by many of todays people, were as the call up CPS, show a red bottom, and BAM the parent gets in trouble. Which is why it's hard for me to even fathom a punishment that goes even that far, but for those like that little girls father, seems like literal abuse.
Sadly when it comes to s**t like this, it isn't simple. Not by a long shot. Spanking can be considered abuse, and that anklet that gives out shocks can easily be seen as cruel and unusual specially to some who have a temper, but tries to turn around and direct it to things that would neither hurt a person physically or emotionaly. Unless you know of a type on tech that is sophisticated enough to distingush whether it is the child or a pillow being abused, then you can pretty much kiss that bill goodbye.
