Kareswen looked away as well, not noticing his reaction. The name of Mordor had lost its power for her - everywhere else seemed equally dark these days, if not more so, because she remembered the light that had once resided there. Her mind returned to Minas Tirith briefly, before she cast it aside.

Ranu grew silent, feet following an unwitting path towards Osgilith. He'd always wanted to see it.

Kareswen endured the silence briefly although she didn't like it. She whistled a tune from her childhood. It was quite a popular one in the taverns, but she didn't remember where it originated.

Ranu wasn't expecting the sound, so when it started, he listened alertly, softly singing along. He'd heard it back home in the frozen north.

Slightly surprised that he knew it, she grew quieter, sudddenly self-conscious, but refusing to stop entirely.

Kareswen shrugged. "I just hadn't realised that you would know it."

Elros sighed as he heaved the bundle of weapons onto the cart. King Aragorn had asked him of a favour, and, being his right hand, and friend, he accepted. Of course at the time, Elros didnt know this 'favour' was delivering weapons supply to Osgiliath, which wasnt far, but he was hauling four over packed carts of swords, and bows, and horse armour. "There you go, hope your happy" He said to the captain of the guard as he rode out. The Guard laughed. "well, if you'd stop doing chores for the king.." Elros laughed back and rose on. Of course he would do 'chores' for Aragorn, he did save his hide in the battle of minas tirith, and the battle at helms deep...and the battle for the black gate... hm, he did help me alot... he thought to himself. He laughed at his memorys of the third age. He was approaching the gates and he had to look professional for the city guard, so he sat up straight and put a serious look on his face. the guard nodded. elros nodded, and broke into laughter as he passed by.

"I'm from the frozen North. Agmar. But not a part the witch-king's foul hand ever held. Further north of his evil forts and villages." He paused, looking around then shook his head. His hearing, like the rest of his body, had been worked on by the elves. It played up sometimes. He thought he'd heard something.

"I've never been that far North." Kareswen commented. "Though I have been to Angmar once. I wouldn't much like to repeat the experience." She went silent as she remembered the previous expedition. Since the fall of Minas Tirith, every day brought a fresh risk of dying, but her trip to Angmar had contained more close shaves than most. She patted the horse absent-mindedly.

"I can imagine. I came through it on my way here. Stayed there for a few years." Ranu smiled coldly, "I learned to kill and hunt there."
