It was obvious that something was bothering Kazuki, but what? Weren't his feelings for Kazuki perfectly clear? Did Kazki really think that he loved Heartbreak? Ari didn't think so. If he had loved Heartbreak, he would be with her now, not here with Kazuki.
Should he leave Kazuki alone? Or should he follow? It seemed that most of the others were drifting out of the cave, though, and he couldn't leave Sigal behind. There wasn't much in these lands that would be a threat to her, but he couldn't help but worry about her, either.
And with Sigal so big now, he wasn't quite sure that he could carry her around on his back anymore. But he was going to have to get all of this sorted out soon--he didn't want anything to come between him and Kazuki!
"Sigal...you're going to have to wake up for a bit. Daddy's going to come right back, alright?"
She wasn't fully an adult yet, but she had to be old enough to start looking out for herself now.
"What...?" she asked, sleepily. It was so late, why was Daddy waking her up? The sun wasn't even out yet!
"Okay," she yawned, too tired to question what Daddy was saying. She noticed the half eaten deer, and so she just went over to that, and started eating it.
"Just...give a shout if you need me."
The tribe lands were full of food, so the predators would be well fed. And he doubted any predator would want to attack something as big or as powerful as a nearly grown modifox, either. But still, just in case...
Ari shook his head, then left the cave in a hurry, following Kazuki's scent.

Anjafey noticed Kazuki leave, followed by Ari. She looekd back into the cave, and knew it was time to return to her duty. She walked back in, and sat down near the nearly frown Sigal, watching the cave mouth for signs of trouble.

Kazuki's ears twithced for a moment he had not gotten too far when he looked up. He sniffed the air for a moment. He knew that scent anywhere. It was Ari, but why was he comign towards him. Kazuki straightened up a bit and tried to look as normal as possible. He waited for Ari to get close before speaking.
"Shouldn't you be watching Sigal?"Kazuki said with a soft smile. Though it was obivious he couldn't hide anything very well.

"She's nearly grown now. And what predator in its right mind would want to attack a nearly grown fox?"
As he was becoming more used to this parenting thing, he was becoming less and less protective of Sigal. He still worried about her, but he wasn't nearly as over protective as he had been at first.
Ari tried to think of a good way to broach the subject that had brought him here, but he couldn't. Didn't any good way for this exist?
Giving up, Ari simply asked: "So, what's bothering you?"
Sigal stared at the adult, but she noticed the tribe tattoo on her. So she wasn't a bad fox, then. Sigal went back to eating then, not quite sure if she was supposed to talk to this perfect stranger or not. She barely knew anything about Daddy's tribe, since she was asleep when they were awake, and awake when they were asleep.

Anjafey smiled kindly at Sigal, seeing how awkward this must be for her. "Hello there." She looked at Rendo, who hadn't said much in a while, and then back outside the cave. Where were Nato and Shai?

Kazuki blinked slightly surpised. Was he really that obivious? Well he would deny it.
"N-Nothing. Why you ask?" Kazuki fidgetted and backed up a bit. He really wished he could do this better. Then again he wasnt very good with his emotions. He usually hid them, badly but hid them none the less.

"Hello..." Sigal said, staring at the adult. She seemed kind of nice, at least...
"My name's Sigal." She had no idea if the adult knew who she was or not.
"Because you've been acting strange, lately." Ari didn't want to bring up the fact that Kazuki seemed to have been avoiding him, too, but he would if he had to. It was obvious that whatever it was, Kazuki wanted to hide it, and Ari wasn't going to stress Kazuki out more by bringing up something like that.

Anjafey returned her gaze to Sigal. "it's nice to finally meet you, Sigal. I'm Anjafey." She bowed her head in greeting.

"No I am fine really.." Kazuki turned away from Ari. he lowere dhis head and started to walk away. He prayed that Ari wouldn't follow but he knew Ari better then that. Though if he did he would pick up his pace.

A grey she-fox slinked threw the forest. Her back and paws were black and so was her tail. Her muzzle was also black. She had no pupils, only pure black eyes. In her mouth was a kit, also female. The kit was black with white paws and white rings around her tail. She had fiery orange eyes.
The she-fox leapt over a branch and landed gracefully. Her body was smooth and graceful. She could smell a familiar scent. Was it Shai? If so.....
(This is Shai's color}
Shai watched Nato patch him up. He rumbled happily as he watched Nato. This male he trusted, but he did not know why. Sniffing the air, Shai nudged Nato.
"Nato, I smell two females. Ones a kit, the other a adult." He whispered.

Sigal thought she should probably say something, but she didn't know what. This was her first time talking to any fox other than Daddy, actually.
"That's a nice tattoo," she finally said, gesturing with her tail to indicate the one by Anjafey's front leg.
Ari followed, not wanting to let this drop.
"Then why have you been avoiding me? You might be fine, but what about me?"
Ari stopped, realizing what he had said.
"I'm sorry."

The she-fox stopped and sat down, resting the kit on the ground. The kit squealed and stood up. The she-fox yelped and leapt up, but the kit has already ran off. The she-fox yowled in fear. What if the kit was already lost or hurt? No wait, it was only a few seconds that she had ran away. the she-fox leapt up and bolted, crying out for the kit.

Kazuki froze and turned around slowly. He could feel the guilt piling up. So Ari had noticed. Sighing, he realised he was an open book with his feelings.
"No, I am sorry. I was unsure of ..o-our relationship when Sigal showed up. I thought it would be best to give you time with your daughter. I am sure she wouldn't want me around. Since she has a mother..." Kazuki looked at his paws. He felt miseriable. He deserved that. He may be a good leader but as as an indiviual he was the worst when it came to others feelings.

"What's there to be unsure of? If I loved Heartbreak, which, believe me, I don't, I would be with her. Not with you. And she doesn't really have a mother...I agreed to raise her, by myself. Well, not really by myself. I have the rest of the tribe to help me..."
Ari paused, not quite sure what he was saying anymore, and then he just gave up on trying to put everything into words. Instead, he went over to Kazuki, and licked his cheek.
