Aya listened to what her mother instructed. She was really heasitant about this and knew she would probably get hit. "Uhm, I think I'll take a break," the little girl said, backing down from the clone. "I've completed enough for today," Aya said nervously as she stopped her training.
[Gawd, a DC of 22 and 30. This is going to be hard....;_; I have to get 2 20s to get that check.]

ivory_vamp Training Part III Four water clones return to pools on the ground and now only one remains. This is the clone that will fight against you and help you learn to keep moving. It will be tough to avoid the blow, but even tougher to land a blow. The point of this exercise is to make your hit land faster and faster. DC1: 22 + Lvl Formula: 1d20 + Dodge DC2: 30 + Lvl Formula: 1d20 + 1/2Dodge + Strength Mod DC Fail: Fail a dodge and recieve -10% health. No penalty for missing the hit. Sumire laughed as she didn't quite get it this time either. "I'm just all out of sorts today, aren't I?" She thought for a moment. "Maybe I'm still trying to recover from the move." The thought wasn't impossible. It had been tiring, not to mention draining, on all of them. But especially Sumire as she had to watch the younger ones. She placed her hands carefully in the seal of the sheep. Time to try again!

"What? Giving up already?" Tenmoki asked as Aya began to leave the training grounds. "I thought you were going to be the first to learn this, pumkin?" The Kusakage recalled her daughter saying those words to her. As her daughter left, the woman couldn't help but feel a little depressed at the fact that neither of her children would be the first to learn the Dodging palm taijutsu.

This was frustrating. Not only where the clones hard to hit, but nearly impossible to strike back at. He could help but fell the limit in his physical strength. He had to focus, concentrate. His strength was of no help, it came down to a clean dodge and graceful return of the blow. He tried hare to read the clones movement as it attacked again.

He had apparently spent too much time watching and not enough moving as the kick hit him square in the side. Drakyn slid sideways a few inched and recovered. This was by far the hardest training he had been though so far. He almost wished he could use the last stage of his bloodline, but it would only activate if someone was in mortal peril. Considering the kage was near by, he knew that would happen, so he would have to make do with the stage he was at now.

Drakyn was a bit too slow as again the clone managed to hit him. He had to stop with all the thoughts and focus only on the clone. He resumed his stance and prepared for the next attack.

This time worked out a bit better than the time before. He managed to dodge the clone rather well, but again found that the clone was far away by the time he tried to counter. He would have been a bit angry, if it weren't for the bloodline suppressing his feelings, so he only felt a vague disappointment. He tried to focus and better finish the end of the dodge as the clone attacked again.

Again the clone managed to hit him. Perhaps the problem was that he was trying to hard to force it.....this time as the clone attacked, he focused less on it's movements and calculations, and instead waited to see how his own body would react in the moment.

The result seemed better. True, he still missed, but it didn't seem as far of a miss... He waited again to try the same thing, letting the action he would take come to him at the last second.

Drakyn sighed slightly as the clone managed to get away again. He just wouldn't give up, it had to be do-able. He resumed his pose and that clone attacked, almost as if they were actors performing.

Drakyn avoided the attack and with a graceful movement that astonished himself, he managed to hit the clone back. He smiled a bit, but he soon noticed that the clone was still going. He took the same stance as last time and tried to repeat what he had done.

Again he dodged the attack and managed to strike back at the clone. Perhaps just maybe that meant the first time wasn't just a fluke. But he still had a long way to go as the clone got back up and attacked again.

Shinichi landed painfully, a bruise spreading where the clone had punched him. He barely enough energy left to stay conscious, much less fight, but his determined nature forced him to rise to his feet. Glaring at the clone, Shinichi went over his strengths. He had more intuition than most people and he could always see the fist coming, but stopping it was another thing. It required not ony perfect timing, but also flawless form. You had to impact with the clone's fist at precisely the right angle or it would slip past your unbalanced hand and hit you, hard. Breathing hard, Shinichi rose and with little to lose, he faced the clone with a struggling will to go on. Surpressing that weakness for a second, he nodded and awaited the water clone's attack. He just had to withstand this a little longer....

He collapsed to the firm Kusagakure earth and slept, his red hair flying around as he fell until it landed in random patterns on his face. Shinichi relished the rest, waiting until he had enough energy to keep going. He was sure everyone else had already finished part two of the exercise, but his will could not overcome what was so obvious. The body of an 8-year-old boy was not meant to put up with as many hits at that genin over there, so he just needed to rest. Shinichi made up his mind to catch up later and surpass all the others. Yeah...
