Vashtya Lightning Shadow X Taku looked over at Athari and smiled before running over to the edge of the tree and smiling at him happily. "Hi Athari...did you fall asleep or soemthin'?" Taku looked at him and blinked at what he was looking at, she then turned to Mufasa and smirked before turning to Athari. "Are you scared of mister lion Athari?" Her green eyes blinked sweetly as she looked at him.

Lightning Shadow X Taku looked at him and blinked at what he was looking at, she then turned to Mufasa and smirked before turning to Athari. "Are you scared of mister lion Athari?" Her green eyes blinked sweetly as she looked at him.
Athari looked offended, wrinkling his nose up at the mere suggestion of it. "I'm not afraid of ANYTHING...certainly not a LION." he said, forcing himself to appear relaxed, nonchalent even. Stalking over to Taku, he nudged at her, lift curling up in what must be one of the first grins he'd had since the appearance of Mufasa. "And besides, like you're one to talk..." he purred, chewing playfully on her ear.
((*poofs* heart ))

((*poofs* heart ))Takue giggled softly and then lapped at Athari's nose, she then shook herself free before jumping on him and gently pulling his ear playfully. She stopped as another crack of lightning caused her to nearly jump six feet in the air and sighed heavily. "This rain is really bad..."

"Really?" -He watched the crow with gentle interest, inspecting her with delicate care. Some animals showed their age quite quickly, but he never would have guessed her to be old enough to know all she did. how intruging.-
-Taku's soft comment caught his attention though, and he gave a soft word of comfort, streching his limbs out before him, growing as weary of resting as the young ones probably were.- "The rain is bothersome now yes.. But as soon as it departs the grasses will grow taller then you could image and it'll bring many of the grazing animals back into the lands. Plenty of food for all of us, and hopefully, some well filled water holes."
-Giving his front paw a firm lick of cleaning he mused softly.- "Perhaps we won't have to worry about any sort of drought this year either."

Taku smiled softly at him before stretching, she then gently pushed and the leapord cub playfully as she ran over to him, like so many of the new cubs would usualy do. "It's better then the dessert though....down their it's so dry when you touch a wildebeast skeleton it'll turn to dust in a second!" The young kit mused enthusiasticly as the crow smiled and hopped down by Mufasa's side as sshe gently preened herself.

"I've traveled a bit through many of the different territories.. I recall cruching skeletons with my brother long ago when we used to play together." -Pausing softly on that note he was momentarily silent, before he went back to his grooming again.-
"I enjoy the Pridelands more then anywhere else though.. but you know what they say. 'No place like home'. And this place has always been a home to me."

Taku smiled before her face saddened slightly and her ears flattened, she then looked up at Mufasa and placed a sad sort of smile on her small face. "I wish I could go home...." She stopped herself from continuing as she started to snuffle and then just went back underneath the tree, the crow sighed heavily, and snorted thinking about the pride that did this to her young comrade. "I hope that firekin get what's coming to them...I just can't understand how someone could be so violent agaisnt such defenseless creatures..."

Taku's head popped up from behind the mound of the tree, her face lightened up by the crack of lightning, she crept closer to him and snuffled slightly. "Really sir?" Her green eyes glowed softly in the darkness of the rain, her fur becoming soggy in the hardened drops.

-Reaching over lightly to lay a large golden paw delicately across her small back, he gave a nod and a gentle smile.- "Absolutely. As much as I love the Prideland's surroundings.. I'd be willing to follow my friends and my pride to the darkest deepest depths of the forests, or the desert.. or just about anywhere."
"It's hard to do things new and lose a place, but as long as you have your friends and the ones you care about things aren't nearly as bad as they may seem."

((No foolin you are really wise! eek ))

((*snickers* Well thanks. ^ ^; I'm just trying my best to play the part. :3 ))
-Letting the young kit nuzzle in as she pleased, he returned her affection with something of playful ruffle of her fur before he cast his eyes lightly out towards the rain again. He truely hoped it would stop soon.. but if not he'd think about heading back to the rocks come the next morning.-
-A soft smile to the crow was offered, however deep in the back of his mind he pondered her words. Did his brother fall into that category.. or was he the exception.., shrugging it away lightly he nodded in thanks.- "Do you plan on bringing Taku to the Pride rocks area when the rains die down? Or are you guys passing through?"

Athari giggled when Taku chewed on his ear, before going back to observing Mufasa, less defensive as he came to realize that the massive creature really didn't seem to wish them any harm. plonking down at the very edge of the shelter, he licked at the fur of his foreleg pensively for a few moments before looking back out at the downpour, sighing.

((You play it very well then)) Taku giggled softly before gently batting at his paw with her own smiling as she let the two grown up's talk as she played, the crow smiled and then preened her wings slightly as she looked out onto the oncast of never ending rain clouds that shadowed the PrideLands. "We are thinking of staying here...when the rains calm down...we will visit you...I wish to see the young heir...as I have for the last two generations...and I'm sure Taku would love to come!" She smiled softly and watched the young pup play before she stopped. "Wait a minute...if your son's the heir of Pride Rock...does that make you the king?" She looked up at him wideyed through the rain, one of her ears lopping over her face as she looked at him.

"Well I'd be proud to show off Simba if I can get him away from his mother for a few moments." -Laughing a little softly, he mused lightly.- "I wonder if I was so attached to my mother when I was that young? No.. I'd imagine I'd have spent more time with my brother.."
