Therin stuck out his nose and sniffed the card for a moment and then stuck out his tongue and gave it a discriminate slurp before chuffing a little. Apparently, he had garnered all he could from the bit of paper.
Mounting the Aziraphale, Quinn reached forward to give Llyan another scritch, which she leaned into appreciatively, and healed her mount in a mostly South-by-South-East direction. "Come on, Junkan," she called, "We're supposed to go this way. ...Try not to look so sick. You're going to scare everyone away. And remember, we're looking for paper lanterns and orphaned children... Hey, you're a druid... can't you just heal yourself?"
Her tail swished in rhythm with Therin's as the dog padded down the cobbled streets. Quinn hauled reign infront of a candy store she frequented and dismounted to go inside. "Wait here, Junkan. Kids always like candy stores... Maybe the owner has some information."
She went inside, sidled up to the counter and asked, "Remember me?! Thought so! I'm looking for a man named Vincent. He's good-looking and likes to wear bright and flashy clothing. Also, he seems to have a certain prediliction for woman of all sorts and they for him. Its been rumored that he is visiting an orphaned child somewhere in Southern Durem, so I thought he might have stopped her to get a treat for the child. You know you have the finest sweets in the city, maybe in all of Gaia, I dont need to remind you of that!" She finished with her most charming grin, which was indeed, charming, and held her tail up in such a way as to block the worker from seeing Junkan out the window.
The half-ogre's presense sure made seeming innoccuous difficult.

Comming back out of the sweet shop, Quinn had a bag of goodies in one hand and the other was hidden behind her back. Stuffing the sweets into an already bulging saddle bag, she smiled at Junkan and said, "Well, at least it wasnt an entire loss. They had these new butter brickle brownies that were really good and..." She paused, turning to unfurl her gift, "I got you this!"
She held the umbrella out to Junkan, a sheepish look on her face. "I really am sorry that you waited out in the rain all that time and got sick on account of me. Can we be friends again?"

"Okay, Shyam." Odilen tried the man's name on for size, then shrugged. He seemed nice enough. "And I would glide, but... well, I have to climb rather high for that to be effective, and at this point-" She stifled another yawn. "I don't think it would be wise," she added ruefully, her point inadvertantly made.
Spark put one paw on Shyam's leg and tried to climb upward, attempting to sniff at the card just as the Aziraphale had done.

It wasn't hard to get airborne and his wings flicked steadily as he got to the same height as Mirror. The rooftops were generally the best place for him to go because of his height. Least in the air, he wouldn't stick out quite so bad... well, least that was his hope. He had issues with such things, though he was better at hiding them now than he had ever been. Once he was high enough, he did one last visual sweep of the other companions. It would be wiser to know what they looked like to make for easier finding later on.
"Hmm?" Looking over at Mirror, he nodded after a bit. "It sounds like the most sensible plan. Just be prepared to have to make a bright explosion or something because sometimes I can miss obvious things if I get distracted by something enough." He said this because he knew how easily distracted he could get and he wanted to make sure that he wouldn't miss something as important as a signal that the dandy had been found. "But other than, that's a really good idea. Durem isn't that large at all, but it's always good to be prepared for anything, truly."

Well now, if he could heal himself, wouldn't he have healed himself by now? It seemed obvious to him. Cuts, bruises, sure, he could do that. Maybe even make some medicine, with the proper herbs. But you needed a cleric for more proficient and on demand healing.
Thus he was still quite foul looking, when Quinn went inside. He followed dutifully, but being sick and tired, didn't exactly put a smile on your face. He tried not to look menacing, but it was hard. A child came up to him, making faces, even kicking him in the shin. Now that prompted a roar from the half ogre, loud and long, sending the kid, and several others, running down the streets.
Well, so much for not scaring people...
When Quinn came outside, he frowned, looking at the strange device she offered him. Gingerly plucking it from her he held it up, sniffing at it, but unable to get a scent though his clogged nose. With that closed up, he started nibbling on the edge of the umbrella, wondering if it was more or the creature's strange 'food'.

Giggling as Junkan nibbled on the umbrella, she stood on her tiptoes, trying to push his massive arm into the correct position. "It's an umbrella! To keep the rain off. You do it like this," she gestured with one hand while trying to move Junkan's arm with the other.
"Don't chew it or you might poke holes in it and then the rain will be able to get through."

Junkan held the umbrella up for a moment, then slowly lowered it. It wasn't raining here, after all. Though he would have to remember it when it was. Storing the bulky rainshield would be a problem, but he could handle it.
"Whut ya..." he asked, stopping to sneeze, his hand coming up to wipe his nose with the back of his arm, "fine oaw?" Seemed his nose was starting to ruin his already broken common.

Quinn smiled when Junkan spoke. It looked like he was talking to her again! "Not much," she said, too happy to sound chagrinned, "The owner said that too many people come in everyday to remember just one. Oh well, the brownies were worth it! Should we continue on?" she asked, mounting Therin again.

Junkan nodded slowly. He did doubt they would find this person, whoever it was. The fact they had to look for him, seemed to suggest he didn't want to be found, and between Quinn and himself, they really didn't blend into the crowd too well. Guy would see them coming, and bolt.
Thus as he followed Quinn and Therin, he was keeping his eyes open for people that were running away. Not the normal that ran away when he got close, and only just a short bit, but people that were full out bolting for the hills the moment they saw him.

"Of course!" Mirror laughed in response to Akiya and nodded, his little body bobbing in the air like a floaty toy on water. Then he did a dramatic swirl and wave as he began to slowly glide along the tops of the streets, searching for bright splashes of color or little groups of orphaned children and paper lamps.
Floating in the air as if he were lying on the ground, his arms crossed under his chin and his legs kicking slightly in the air as if he were swimming.
Hmm...There's a lady or two but no chap next to them. There's an old chap by that store over there. Over underneath that hanging sign is a group of girls. No chap. No dandy. No Vincent.
Mirror huffed a sigh of irritation and began thinking of different ways to possibly lure Vincent to their group. When they wanted things to be easy or done quickly it was always done the exact opposite. Hopefully this wouldn't be one of those cases.
The Al Sylian glided a bit lower and strained his eyes to possibly catch a glimpse of the elusive dandy.

Sosiqui "Okay, Shyam." Odilen tried the man's name on for size, then shrugged. He seemed nice enough. "I don't think it would be wise," she added ruefully, her point inadvertantly made. Spark put one paw on Shyam's leg and tried to climb upward, attempting to sniff at the card just as the Aziraphale had done. Shyam stopped and crouched down to Spark, pulling out the card one more time. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize that you wanted a sniff too (actually, idid realize that you had another pet with us... blaugh )." He let Spark sniff away until he had something. "Well, if you can pick up a scent, I wish you the best of luck, 'cause we're going to need it!" When Spark was done (what is Spark, BTW?) Shyam put the card back in his pocket and then stood up, looking at Odilen.
"I can appreciate that Odilen, I'd rather you be safe and effective, than sorry. Let's see what we can find, shall we?"

((Spark is a coeurl familiar. Odilen also has BoCo with her, he's a chocobo familiar.))
Spark snorted at the card, then dropped down, hissing irritably at the world in general. "I don't think he'll be that much help - they're like cats, sort of, I think," Odilen warned Shyam quietly. "Curious for their own sakes, but not particularly helpful." She stretched and turned around as she did so. "Paper lanterns and an orphan, huh? That's sort of odd, but at least recognizable. Are there orphanages around here, do you think? That might be a good starting place, if there is one. He might be there, or there might be someone we could ask who would know about other orphans and where they might be..."

((Not sure what more I can do without some kind of prompt...))
Quinn continued to lead Junkan up and down the streets of South Eastern Durem, Therin sniffing the ground dutifully. She made sure to keep an eye out for an extravegantly dressed man, paper lanterns and crowds of children.
And, she made sure to keep an eye out for Junkan, who just wasn't looking like he was doing very well.

((A, your Coeurl! Thank you! Sorry, so many bodies, and so many pets... I got lost... wink ))
"Oh! I'll admit that I don't know much about the familiars of this world, so that's good to know.
"And I hadn't thought to look for orphanages, that's a good idea. Unfortunately, I don't know the town that well yet, since I just moved here. But I'm sure we could ask around."
Shyam actually stopped the next person that he saw in the road. "Excuse me, but do you know if there's an orphanage here in town?"

Mirror, spotting a brightly colored figure, opened his eyes with shock and glided down lower to get a better sight at the man. The clothes fitted the man's personality, the movement, the way the man walked all fit Vincent. Upon reaching the man and peeking under the man's hat rim did Mirror realize his mistake. This was a woman dressing up as a man.
The Al Sylian gave a huff of irritation. At least he had found Vincent's female counterpart.
Rising up again in the air, Mirror continued his search, occasionally looking over to his right to watch Akiya.
