Nona looked to the pokeball, smiling. "Alright..." She said, happily, picking up the pokemon. "...Leroy...That's a nice name, right?" She said, giggling to herself a little. "It's a boy and it's /pink/..."
Then she relised what had happened...She looked around frantically for Brayden, picking up Bijou and letting the pokemon get send to her PC. "BRAYDEN!!!" She shouted, entering the temple and trying to avoid the mud0covered pile of sand. "Please, tell me you're alright..." Of course, she hadn't realised that he had been using fire against the statue, so...yeah.

Brayden sent the Kabuto's ball to his PC just as Nona entered the temple, he turned, smiling, wincing a bit at the shout.
"Uh... yes, I'm fine," Brayden stated, a bit confused. "Why wouldn't I be?" he inquired honestly, which considering his current state might have been a bit amusing. His clothes a bit charred, a small bit of flame still creeping up the bottom hem of his pants, sending a tendril of smoke rising lazily. But, for the most part, other than a bit shaken, he didn't seem to be injured at all, thankfully.
"And you?" he inquired to Nona with a smile, "You alright?"

Nona looked out over the beach, seeing a figure collapsing onto the sand. It took her a few moments, then the image clicked:
"...KAYA!!!" She shouted, running over to him, kneeling down in the sand next to him. "...Are you...sleeping?" She asked, unsure if he was alive or not. "...God damn it...I try to keep Brayden safe, and you're the one who gets hurt. Figures, don't it?" She chuckled, shaking his shoulder gently. "Come on...wake up..."

Brayden, a bit slow on the uptake, took a moment to register the fact that Kaya had collapsed, and that Kaya was there in the first place. Snapping out of whatever state of la-la land he was in, Brayden blinked once, twice.
"Kaya!" Ah, there we go.
Brayden dashed forward, making it to Kaya a little bit after Nona, kneeling. He feared the worst for a moment, mind racing through possibilities, but he allowed himself to relax a bit as he noticed the other's deeper breathing. Asleep? The thought confused him for a moment, but he brushed it aside for the time being.
"Is he alright?" he asked Nona quietly, seeing that she was trying to wake him.

On the coast, things were seemingly wrapping up. The defenders were fighting valiantly, although many had fallen, but those attacking from the sea were gaining ground, slowly but surely. Even the prince's ship had run ashore, its soldiers swarming the coast to join in the fray to try to stop the invaders.
Roog and Rahal still stood back to back, fighting alongside the Milotic and Gyarados, gaining some ground, as Craig broke ahead to join alongside the three trainers from the future.
"The ranks are falling," he explained to Nona and Brayden, shaking his head sadly as he sheathed his blade. He turned, regarding the battle that still raged on the shore.
"Its only a matter of time before the Prince will have to call the retreat," he admitted. "We're going to have to resort to retreating to the temple for now. They'll most likely fire the signal for Quess and the others near the labyrinth."
A pair of eyes watched the small group interestedly from the balcony of one of the rooms of the temple, as Valsindar wiped the blade haphazardly against one of the thick curtains that lined the doorway. The fabric meant to shield the room from the chilly breeze that blew in from the ocean served a different purpose, now smeared with blood. Valsindar smirked, listening to the voice that came from the blade, it was just as eager as he was to finish this up.

"Of course," Brayden nodded to Nona's inquiry, taking note of Nona's knuckles. "You sure you alright as well?" he inquired. Thankfully, since Extrasensory wasn't a physical attack, Brayden didn't seem to have any aftereffects, although he had to admit he was a bit dizzy. He definitely didn't think he'd be trying... whatever it was that caused the attack to release in the first place.
He cast a glance back at the shoreline where the battle was still raging. He frowned slightly in worry at Craig's words. Things definitely didn't seem to be going well. Having come from Kanto, he hadn't studied much of Hoenn's history, so a fuzzy confusion met him when he tried to recall exactly how this battle ended. He supposed he should have paid more attention in class, but back then, world history wasn't exactly on his mind too much.
And Cyrus was more preoccupied with trying to see how many pencils he could get stuck in the ceiling tiles without the teacher noticing, so for the most part Brayden had played as lookout rather that attentive student.
"So we've got to make it to the temple," he nodded, oblivious of the pair of malevolent eyes watching them from above. "That seems doable." He kneeled, lifting Kaya from the sands of the beach, struggling for a moment to center his weight, before draping the other boy over his back, keeping hold of his arms as he smiled to Nona, "Suppose we should get going."

Nona nodded lightly, taking note of the eyes in the balcony.
Now, let's play the game of how many lies Nona can fit into one conversation!
"Yeah...I'm fine." ONE! "My fist just hurts a little, nothing big." TWO! "It should heal by morning, I think." Three!
She paused for a second, thinking about how the battle came out. She remembered learning a little about this once...but for the life of her, she couldn't remember. She took in one of her swollen knuckles and sucked on it gently, the sweet honey taste coming in as well as a soothing, cool feeling over the swelled mass.
"...Well, it looks like it may be the best option..." Nona muttered, heading into the Temple, assuming Brayden was close behind. She sighed. "Well, this has been...fun. I just hope that we'll be able to get back to our own time eventually." Her ears drooped in a semi-depressed manner, looking around the ground-floor of the temple. Well...it was a pretty way to retreat, none the less.

Brayden followed behind Nona, at a bit of a slower pace due to the added weight of Kaya on his back. Not that he really minded at all, Kaya's warmth was more than nice to the Vulpix-hybrid as he made the trek through the sands to the temple entrance. He still didn't notice the watchful eyes above them, his gaze focused on Nona, not quite buying her story. From what he could gather from his quick glimpse he got of her knuckles, they definitely looked like they hurt, and that worried him greatly.
Indecision won out in the end, as he tried to figure out why she was hiding the injury, and what he could say to try to bring up the topic again without making it sound like he didn't believe her. Well, he didn't, but he didn't know of any way to say so without it sounding chiding.
Sighing slightly in resignation, Brayden followed behind Nona silently, making his way back through the torn doors of the temple, past the remains of the strange creature that had chased after them.
"So what is the plan that the people gathered in the labrynth have?" he inquired to Craig over his shoulder as he made his way behind Nona.

"Well, we feared it would come to this, although we wanted to make sure before we did something so drastic," Craig admitted, looking to Brayden with a sad smile before turning to the shoreline, holding his fingers to his lips before blowing a shrill, sharp whistle that echoed down the beachline. The soldiers fighting on Lilygrove's side nodded their agreement from their positions, Roog and Rahal taking up the rear behind the prince's regiment, as the whole of them slowly guided the fighting to the temple, making their retreat.
For the most part it was done in an organized manner, as much that could be achieved in the middle of a battle, after all.
Craig nodded his approvement. Although their "soldiers" if they could be called that, they were mostly villagers for the most part, after all, hadn't seen any action in the part of battle, they were managing well. Desperation did wonders for morale it seemed, he thought bitterly.
"If things were showing to be hopeless, we have one last trump card up our sleeves," he pointed to the west, the direction of the labyrinth, "The dams along the riverbanks are in place to be withdrawn. In a matter of minutes, this whole area will be underwater. Although we will lose many, and the temple will be destroyed, we will take the invaders with us. We have already arranged for those who are merely villagers to withdraw to the main part of town, which will remain untouched. There, you see?" he pointed down the shore, where Roog's Milotic charged between a group of villagers and the invading soldiers. The villagers, taking the cue as Roog initiated the soldiers with his sword, retreated up the shoreline, back into the forests that led to the village of Lilygrove.
"While our soldiers, for the most part will be lost, our town will live," he smiled faintly.
"However, on the roof of the temple, that will most likely be untouched by the waters, hence the soldiers' eventual retreat into the temple. We will draw the soldiers after us, but we'll seal off the rooftops before too many of them can follow us up."
