~yuffie_dono~ After seeing FFVII AC, it pretty much told everything about Cloud's feelings and what Aeris and Tifa felt as well. * SPOILER ALERT* In the movie it does show that Cloud really did love Aeris, but he also still had feelings for Tifa from his childhood. Also, Aeris was pretty much telling Cloud in the movie to move on already!!! Aeris didn't want Cloud to dwell on her anymore and it shows that in all of the memory-ish scenes in the movie. Also, Aeris goes with Zack in the end. ( ZACK!) So that again shows that Cloud and Aeris are not supposed to be together. And now, for my opinions drawn from what I've seen, I personally don't think Aeris really knew the real Cloud in the game. All she saw was the Zack-Cloud and so she never even really knew who Cloud was. Tifa, on the other hand, knew Cloud and knew all about him and also the fact that something was wrong with him so she stayed with him and watched over him because of her strong feelings for him. In the movie, Cloud also calls Aeris "Mother", so I think that maybe he actually deep down loved her as a mother-figure.

Well you can certianly rule out Yuffie...
But there is definately some chemistry between Cloud and Tifa. whee
(And I would like to say Tifa. whee )

Sinister=Gates probably aries cuz didnt cloud go on a date with her. so probably her. He could have also gone on a date w/ Tifa. Who Cloud went on the date w/ was the person he treated more favorably. He could have also gone w/ Yuffie.

One Winged Angel 14 Tifa maybe just looked up to cloud as a big brother.I think cloud liked Aeris more than tifa.I cant see tifa and cloud together. eek I think that Tifa has liked him forever. Aeris was just there.

He really liked Aeris. Tifa was more of a childhood friend than his girlfriend. Sad because we know Tifa really likes Cloud. But I guess now he has to settle for her.

anyway, seriously...when I first played the game I thought he loved Tifa but as I played the game when I was older I realized that he really loved Aeries.
I might seems he loved Tifa on the surface but if you really think about it, he loved Aeries and Aeries loved him. Tifa was just a second choice.

It all depends on how you played the game. ff7 was a game that the developers wanted you to write the story. So Think about it. Which path did you take? Which path do you feel that YOU (cloud) is right?
If you were nicer to Tifa, and you got her on your date...you'll find that tifa loves you. She doesnt say it..but she hints at it, then gets shy, and changes the subject. Think about it. The whole game, you were more interested in Tifa, right? Assuming that the names of Tifa and Sepherioth WERE branched from the cabbalah belief, then Tiferet is part of the 10 Sephiroth that meant "Balance and love". She helped you find love, and find balance in your life, to overcome all that was going on. Yea, Aeris was there, but all she really did was to help you find out who you are, and learn how to be kind, and fight for others. She was only attracted to you because you reminded her Of Zack (for obvious reasons...you kinda were Zack, ^^). She was there for you, and always will be. Thank you Aeries.
But if your like me, and Were nicer to Tifa, then you got her on your date. You find out that she senses your conflicted inside, and she wants to meet the real clould. I believe you get close to her. However when she dies...there are times where you see her, there are times where you're reminded of her. Even though Tifa is there, shes there as a friend. She taught you balance, she taught you love, as most first loves usually do, however your heart will always been with Aeries.
Storyline wise...I believe its a mixture of Both. I believe he loved Aeris, but I believe her attraction to cloud was from Zack. She never knew the real cloud. Cloud was awakened to the feeling of love by Aeris, but I dont believe he fell in love with Tifa, although honestly, i think his heart is always with Aeris, till advent children at least
If you have seen Advent Children, they continue on being ambiguous on this, and I think its because they want the viewer to be cloud, and to feel how they want about those characters. I feel as if Advent Children was Clouds way of getting over the loss of Aeris, but I never believe (for myself) that he fell in love with Tifa, rather, were just very good friends.

I say he liked Aeris more. I'm guessing he somewhat liked Tifa but when Aeris came into the picture, he started going towards her really fast. In my perspective, I think Tifa was the one who liked Cloud a lot (i think she even admits she likes him in the game, but me not so sure).
But in my honest opinion, Cloud liked Aeris more. But that doesn't mean he doesn't care less for Tifa. If Tifa were to ...yea....instrad of aeris. Then he would have felt the same pain. it's just i think he was drifting more to aeris. 3nodding

I dont see Zack showing up as being too much of an indicator, and I try not to look too much into it...but Id id think the same thing when i saw him. Keep in mind, taht Cloud wouldnt be alive if it werent for Zack. In someways, I almost feel as if it can be taken two ways... 1) Aeris showing Cloud that its time to move on, she met Zack again in the lifestream and shes happy with him 2) Zack was always looking over Cloud, Just as Aeris started to when she was murdered. Maybe this was a way of them saying "your on your own now cloud" or "We'll be watching". After advent children, i ditched my view of "He will always love Aeris, and not Tifa", however I dont think it was about him getting over aeris, I think it was more about him being afraid to help anyone because he didnt want to lose anyone...so to speak....not forgiving himself for aeris death. I believe that Cloud was attracted to her motherlyness, and her tenderness...There is one scene that I would love to relook at, and thats how he interacts with his mom in his flashback, and how his relationship with aeris was. There might be some clues, some foreshadowing...etc...etc.. Yuffie is out of the question though... I think Tifa got upset with cloud because he was really down on himself and such. We did see Tifa show some more spine, and that was cool. the problem is, theres not much in the series that tells us that they loved each other,...and that stinks...
