yeah. You can cast a spell on yourself and have it affect your familiar through the share spells ability.

His current asp poison is 3/day. What I was think was, could I store different kinds, like something to knock-out rather than kill or maybe even adrenaline to help allies, whenever I get a chance to purchase poison?

You probably won't have a chance to buy poisons for a while, but yes, I'd say you could put different poisons in his poison delivery system, but only one type of poison at a time.

Bummer, but just to make sure I'm reading this right. Brendon can have his asp poison and another poison should I acquire one or do you mean he can only have 1 overall?

i think he means you can have as many as you want, but can only use 1 at a time

yeah he can only have one poison in him at a time. Basically you have to get a dose of the poison, put it into a cartridge and put it into him, and then the magic animating him will allow him to create 3 doses of the poison per day. But he can only have 1 cartridge of poison in him at a time.

Okay, then out of curiosity, if I don't place a cartridge of some other poison in Brendon or he runs out, would he revert back to manufacturing/using the nature asp poison that he came with?
Ya know, with all here about asps, you think the poison in the game would be a bit more potent. *sigh*

He came with a tiny viper poison cartridge (DC 10, damage 1d6 Con/1d6 Con). So all you'd have to do is put that one back in after you took out another.
