Day #2 Theme: Alcohol marker test Time spent: Around an hour or less
Comments: Got some alcohol markers as a gift recently and I know nothing about them except they need thick paper. Did a small test coloring with it and blending is a tad bit difficult. Need to look it up. The vibrant, streak-free coloring is really nice. I think I'll have fun doodling flowers for cards in the future. I will try to do another doodle with light pastel drawing on top of the coloring next.

Day #: 84 Theme: Spirit Challenge: Draw a background (part 1) Time spent: 2-3 hours!
Comments: Yeah, wow this took a while! Still rough looking but I've never really gotten past this "stage" of digital art sweatdrop I like birch trees 4laugh No clue how anyone can fit someone in it lol Also click on it to hopefully get a bigger pic?
Woah! I like your background. The birch trees are beautiful! Trees are something I'm not good at so I'm kinda awed by those who can draw them fine. My trees end up looking so unnatural lol

Thank you!
What I do is look up tutorials or doodles of already stylised drawings & try practicing that as it's more like the essence of that type of tree? So it's easier to practice & then getting more realistic after!

hmmm i can try that. i'd watch an artist talk and draw and i'll just draw with them and unconsciously copy bits and pieces of their style and elements so i don't think this'll be too hard... i'll have to find someone who draws simple trees so i can follow along. ty for the tip!

Day #3 Theme: Mr. APPLe Time spent: Around an hour or less.
Comments: Surprisingly I quite like how this turned out! Didn't as much while I was painting with the alcohol markers (Shuttle Art - they smell so strong!) but during the touch-ups with pastels and white pen, it turned out quite to my liking. Was trying to do a painterly style with the markers but I still have trouble blending with the chisel tips. Thankfully the reference I used for this had those sharp non-blended edges so it was a bit less dissapointing. I do have a very limited palette so I couldn't match up to the colors or get a proper in between shades but I made do with the pastels. Another thing I noticed was that they tend to make the edges blurry-fuzzy and I didn't like that. Easily resolved by adding lineart but I did forget to add to his stem (I fixed it now) so you can see the fuzziness bit better there.

I can ask the others but generally no exceptions! But you got hella SP so you are still good. You'll still make it for completing the 100 days. But let me ask - Either I or Quad will get back to you. Also happy to have you Kitten even though you've been working hard heart
