Imhotep, Page of MercuryHe didn’t see a damn thing. Again. But Imhotep was begrudgingly willing to follow Emain Ablach if he’d seen the jackalope. He also walked as quickly and quietly as he could.

Promethei, Squire of MercuryEmain Ablach seemed to have some idea of where the jackalope was. Imhotep had no idea. Promethei, though, agreed with his husband-but-not-really-at-the-moment. "I see it too!" and he tried his best to immediately quiet himself. He wanted to get that damn jackalope if it was the last thing he managed to pull off on this homeworld. To be fair, helping bring Emain Ablach here for his purification and then getting a victory here would be something of running out of his luck on this homeworld--

Dumuzi, Page of PlutoOkay, so energy bars apparently didn't bring the bunnies to the yard. Or the jackalopes. Or this jackalope. Hmm... Dumuzi thought through his subspace pocket snacks some more. Oh! Carrots! That might work, right? He pulled the carrots out of subspace and shoved one down toward the ground.

Transcendent Eternal EnckeThe jackalope was almost constantly in his view line, just slightly out of reach, every time. It was maddening. How did it seem like so many people were losing it, but he wasn't? But how was he also not able to catch the damn thing? Encke continued to creep closer to it, hoping he could reach out and snatch it.

Transcendent Eternal Anser"Oh, I see it!" Encke hushed her, but Anser excitedly moved closer to stand next to her hermane. It was there! That was the damn jackalope!! "We can get it! We can get the win! And the hunt!" "... Not if you get it to run away!"

Eternal Myrrha Forty winks was looking better and better. With all the chaos going on outside of her bush, Myrrha was tempted to stick out the rest of the hunt hiding like this.

Eternal Sailor Puck Wait, what was that? A purple flash in the undergrowth caught Puck's eye. The jackalope! He spriinted off in pursuit, but lost it again amongst the bushes and ferns. "s**t," he muttered. That thing was one wily rabbit-critter!

Eternal Myrrha Myrrha blearily opened one eye to peer around at her little hiding spot when a flash of purple fabric had her rising quickly to a crouch. But with all the noise she was making whatever had been the cause behind the sighting had vanished once more.
Irritated, Myrrha growled under her breath, "pesky rabbit."

Squire IrkallaThe tired squire belatedly realized that she had been within arm's reach of catching the pesky creature once again. As soon as she had made the motion to turn around, the jackalope had skipped away. Now and more than likely it was time to call it quits. There was a lingering sense that the adventure of being on a hunt like this was losing its charm.

IllyriaDressing warmly, that could be a problem. But she was a cat after all. Would her fur not beat the worst of the elements on Beira? Perhaps she could find one of those little pet outfits that would block more snow and cold from her petite frame than if she went as she was. The mention of Beira needing to scan her into his phone had Illyria leaping down from the senshi's arms in order to sit primly in front of a lovely looking bush. The backdrop to the picture would make an interesting contribution to her already perfect profile and even as she waited for Beira to do what needed to be done did Illyria go on alert.
A flash of purple had caught her eye behind Beira's form and she hissed a sudden warning as she scrambled to her feet, "I see it. The jackalope ... behind you."
Illyria's paws itched to give chase, but she had her hunting partner to think about. If they could work together as a team to corner it, maybe this hunt could come to an end. "It's still wearing that ribbon. What should we do? Split up and surround?"

Beira, Super Senshi of Loneliness
Beira nearly laughed at her enthusiasm; he wouldn’t have minded waiting until things had calmed down to get her information, but this worked as well. He had only just taken a picture of her and had it scanning in his phone when she noticed it behind him.
Naturally, he stood perfectly still so as not to spook it.
“We can do that,” he said. His phone was still out, so he flipped the camera so he could peer over his shoulder and see it without moving.
Ah, there it was. He wouldn’t have seen it from this angle if she hadn’t specifically pointed it out. “I think you can move faster than I can. I can block the path this way.” He spoke softly, slowly. He sounded unbothered and easygoing.
With ears that large, he was certain the jackalope could hear them. It probably didn’t understand the words, but he knew animals were sensitive to tone.

Sailor Grieve of GrieveTaking in the voice, the series of expressions, the body language that went from awkward to something more comfortable, grieve mentally tallied it up to a person softer, sweeter, and maybe a bit more safely scammable than his past incarnation. As always, the deep space senshi didn't bother to resent the differences or long much for the old fellow when the new stood before her. Despite him still being so ******** tall, particularly offensive in a more humanoid figure, Grieve was glade to see another ancient figure, rising up with new bones and power. "Hierapolis?" She she gave a little grunt and nod, "Sounds fancy." Giving the uniform a good lookover, she gave him a sympathetic nod. "Heard pages get a hard ********' deal in this age. No school. No training. Whole lotta chaos with weapons waitin'." She spoke like she wasn't the lowest of the low, the most basic of senshi whose magic's had turned unreliable. But at least she had magic. And experience. Him being worse off made her feel a little better about looking ********' child-sized next to him. "Cybele'll probably be a good princess to train under, though. Even if she's not the same one, she still smells like the wind."

Hierapolis couldn't help but grab at the loose open front of his uniform, drawing it as closed as he could. He was more in the habit of covering up than this uniform supplied. But then again, it did very much look like someone had glanced at what he used to wear a thousand years ago, and try to recreate it a week later. Like trying to draw something seen in a dream. The elements were there, but it was still off.Hierapolis got that feeling a lot, especially at his wonder. Little nudges at his senses, a prickling at his brain, trying to recall things he couldn't possibly know... It was why he had taken more to exploring said wonder, rather than fighting. Not that Steins didn't try dragging him out with her when she could. After all, he could only visit his wonder once a month or so, unless he got Cybele to drop him off. A night out on Destiny City was always there. Granted his job kept him pretty busy. Some of those evening services could run long. "I've been lucky to avoid much of the conflict. I have a business to run. That comes first. The war seems to be going no where fast with or without me, so.." He shrugged. He had to make sure his business ran, and the mortuary business was good in Destiny City. Sure, he profited from the death and misfortune of others - some things never changed, even a thousand years later - but it kept a roof over his head. "I had heard that there were others from space that had made their way to Destiny City. I didn't know that included those who have been around for a thousand years or more. I would think the knowledge you and others like you have would be invaluable.." Not that he was going to take advantage and pry. Part of the fun for him in all this was learning what he could on his own; at least, when it came to his wonder and his past self. For those looking to make any real effort in the war though, he thought it would be prudent to glean what they could from these 'ancient' senshi.

Eternal Sailor Puck There it was again! That same glimpse of purple in the undergrowth, holding still for just a split second! Puck dove after it, hoping to catch the elusive creature before it got away. He scrambled through the bushes and shrubs after it, only to come up empty-handed once more. Why were jackalopes so bloody hard to catch?
