Sailor Monoceros [Roll 6] | 7
Monoceros smiled as the strange pieces of metal began flying up and at the monster, who clearly didn't like them, as it batted at them and tried to keep them off.
This was their chance. It was distracted. They could do this.
Gathering the last of his strength, he couldn't help but let out a roar, the culmination of every last grievance he had with this stupid forest and this entire horrible place he and all these other people had gotten stuck in, as he tossed out his last attack.
The quills hit their mark and he collapsed into the dirt, having just enough thought in his head to make sure his open wound didn't grind into the dirt. Wouldn't do to get an infection now, after all.
All he could do now was pray it was enough, he thought, as his eyes slipped shut from sheer exhaustion.

Athalia - Senshi of Hercules Beetles
Of course the shards could fly on their own.
Much like metal drawn to a magnet he watched as those that hadn't been hurled in advance were pulled into the air, careening towards the beast in as unforgiving a manner as he would have if he could muster half as much energy. He was, however, spent for all intents and purposes and it was with a deep breath that he collected himself.
All things considered, it was probably for the best that he had hopped back and away from the beast when he'd had the chance. Given the speed at which many of those shards were moving it was highly likely he would have been collateral damage himself. It was impressive, he had to at least give whatever powered them some credit for the assault upon the beast and the perhaps unintentional shot at a death by a thousand cuts.
Another breath and in the light he finally caught sight of Metis once more, the only Eternal who had put up with his nonsense for far more time than any other in the Order ever had.
"Steady there," he murmured as he held out his hand and pressed his fingertips gently against her palm.
"Are you ready for one last shot at this thing?" he asked.
Business brain about the only thing ensuring that he held his composure for the time being, it was the most he could do to sound considerate. In hindsight he would probably look upon himself with derision, but for now this was perhaps the best he could do.

Shaowei - Dark Mirror of Entreaty
Really, those things picked now to show magical properties and reveal themselves as useful? The senshi had been moderately disappointed at her timing in those moments, having already tossed her's like a well aimed shuriken (a fluke), into the creature's leg. Nevertheless it appeared that even her little shard of whatever it might have been had decided soon after to join the fray in earnest.
It had wobbled for a time, wedged in the creature's leg, but whatever magnetic force compelled them to rush towards the beast soon whipped the shard up into the storm of metal and fury around the creature. It shouldn't have mattered of course, but in those moments she did crack a little smile... yes, it was safe to say that she was willing to take a small win on this occasion and she counted this as a small win.
She'd done a little more damage, indirectly og course, but it was still damage.
Not long after she heard the familiar voice of the Order Senshi nearby and glanced round at his return, acknowledging she hadn't even realised he'd left, and then his finishing remark. It may have been directed towards Metis but the point was still valid, the beast had lost its composure and it looked like all they needed to do was find that last bit of strength to make one final push.
But oi... Did she even have that in her? With the inability to shoot things with magic it was safe to say that the senshi was rather lacking in options and tackling the thing in a storm of metal didn't seem to be the smartest decision either!

Corrupt Super Sailor Adorea
"Was I?" She didn't even seem to know what he meant by that, but she didn't seem to particularly traumatised by the news either. Whatever had taken hold of her in the moments that she had been corrupted had seemed to do a solid enough job of locking away a fairly large number of memories, some of which probably would have caused her to understand the significance of the change she'd underwent if she'd been given half a chance to recall them. Nevertheless with her current demeanour otherwise unaffected by the revelation, she seemed more interested in something else he had said.
...Or rather, the fact he seemed familiar with her.
"Have we met before?" she asked curiously, her brow lifting. He certainly seemed familiar, but then again a lot of individuals had given off that vibe and she hadn't quite possessed the ability to work out why. To find herself in the company of another was neither surprising, or frustrating at this stage. If anything that sense of familiarity was becoming somewhat routine, and more oddly, a touch comforting. Not quite what one would expect when it came to mystery, but it was what she seemed to be inclined towards for the time being.
Her attention soon shifted though, back to the monster who had decided that enough was enough. Based on the reactions of those around her it was safe to say that the feeling was mutual, and she watched with interest as hundreds of tiny metal shards began to soar towards the beast. Tearing through feathers and flesh, they soon began to circle it and it didn't take a genius to see that it was not the biggest fan of the new addition to its surroundings.
"Huh, well would you look at that," she mused thoughtfully, conveniently out of the way of the flailing beast as fluke often ensured she was. It wasn't that she intended not to get hurt in these circumstances, but that tended to be how the cookie crumbled in these moments.
"Oh!"
Her attention swung back to Rak and she smiled.
"My name's Adorea by the way," she seemed to recall her manners and shook her head. "Glad to see that worked for you, at least a little."

Chibi Sailor Aomori, Senshi of Zashiki-Warashi | 6 + 8 + (no attack) + 8 + 7 (5 bonus talisman) + 4
If she could describe the subsequent event that occurred, Aomori would describe the withdrawal of the beast’s branches resembling a weirdly offended sleepy plant or something.
That aside, Aomori was grateful that the beast had for whatever reason changed its mind, and that she lived another day. It’s almost as if life flashed before her eyes, and for a moment, she was filled with much regret over not having finished on various pranks that she had considered plotting out.
Once she felt reasonably safe, Aomori sat up and gazed at the distance before her, which was the blurry visage of a beast that’s nearly a goner. She noticed the fog thicken, but it didn’t nearly worry her as much now that she’s seen that the beast has taken a severe toll. Then, a metallic glint shooting towards the beast from above caught her attention.
“What’s that?” Aomori asked herself. “Huh? Are those stars or something?”
She then noticed that the bevy of metal shards were being drawn from various parts of the foggy field and they honed towards the beast, perhaps for one last hurrah from its opponents’ end.

Cinta Mahsa - Civilian | 1 + 3 + 3 + 4 + 7 (+5 bonus talisman) + 3
Cinta was stunned. She watched the branches appear to retreat back into form and her surroundings were no longer being swallowed by the darkness. Instead, the fog picked up pace and it coalesced around her, much to her dismay. She groaned as she stood up whilst keeping her head fairly low. Despite being nearly swallowed by the formless darkness, she still endured some amount of scrapes and aches.
In the back of her mind, Cinta couldn’t help but imagine just how nice a soothing aromatic bath would be after all this was said and done. Doubly, she yearned for a bath, since she’s unaccustomed to go without for this duration of time.
After she confirmed her bearings, she faintly lifted her head up and her gaze met with some uneasy looking stares. She would normally exhibit her anxious tendencies, but at this point, she was simply finished. Gathering her faculty, she attempted to sidestep away from their gazes and bat them away with her arms should they draw any closer.
“Go away, you stupid eyeballs! I’m soo done with you!” Cinta momentarily incensed, but her expression morphed into one filled with confused. “Wait, huh? What’s going on?”
If she wasn’t mistaken, small metal-like particles were being drawn from various points in the field and towards the beast. She wasn’t sure what to make out of that, but she hoped that nothing else deemed terrible to her would occur.

Eternal Sailor Oberon, Senshi of Adventure | Roll 6 (Not attacking)Oberon could tell that Pendour was experiencing something in the dark and silence that surrounded them, but he refused to let go. Eventually she calmed down and apologized, and Oberon loosened his grip on her.
“Don’t apologize,” he said, his voice just as soft. If there was a way he could take the pain away, physical or emotional, he would. He didn’t consider himself very brave. More reckless than anything. But he never wanted anyone to suffer, no matter what side they were on or if they were monsters like the creature writhing in the light of the talismans.
Okay, so maybe some horrible people deserved to suffer a bit, but Oberon didn’t try seeking that out for them.
“You think I’m going to leave you? No way,” he insisted. It had been her idea originally, so he wasn’t sure how determined she was to try and get to the river, but after everything that was going on around them, he didn’t blame her for wanting to catch her breath.
“You’re not a burden,” he said suddenly, making a point to look directly into her uncovered eye.
He recognized that expression. Michael had that expression often, and was one of the reasons Peter had decided to move in with him. He joked about needing to babysit his oldest brother, but really he was worried about him. And he was worried about Pendour right now.

Sessrumnir, Knight of Jupiter | Roll 6 ”Looks like whatever was hiding in this village is attacking back. Saves me a lecture from the kid I guess,” Sessrumnir said as the talismans glowed and filled the woods then. The metal piece in his pocket that he and Oberon found suddenly shot out and into the air towards the monster to Sessrumnir’s disappointment. He’d been looking forward to studying it more.
“Guess they’re meant to keep the creature in check,” he said, but really he had no idea. He was just glad they managed to keep themselves out of relative trouble. There were others who weren’t doing so great, but they were mostly Negaverse, so who really cared about that?
“It would probably be pretty unsportsmanlike to take out some of the enemy now, huh?” he nodded to the agents that had collapsed, or that had been severely injured at one point or another. “What? I’m not going to do anything, but they will probably need medical attention, and I’m not sure how I feel about helping out some of them.”
He hoped they wouldn’t be stuck there much longer with the creature losing its battle it seemed, but if they were stuck there, he knew he wouldn’t be able to step back and just watch as people died from their injuries. Even if they were the scum of the Earth.

Palatine, Squire of Venus | Roll 6Palatine shrugged in response to Sessrumnir. The situation was changing rapidly. The creature seemed to be in its last throes, which satisfied her well enough. If they were lucky and this battle followed a similar pattern to ones in the past, they’d be making their way home soon.
They didn’t have any answers about what this place was or how they got there in this first place, but at this point Palatine didn’t think that mattered much. She had a kid to get back to. How the hell was she supposed to explain where she’d been for three weeks?
“Unsportsmanlike, maybe,” she agreed. “Or smart. Depends on how far you’re willing to go to end the war.”
Palatine wasn’t quite willing to go that far, if only because many of the people she came across tended to look rather young, and all she could think about were her own kids. Fighting them was one thing. Taking advantage of their moment of weakness and putting an end to their existence was something else entirely.
“Do what you want,” she continued. “I won’t stop you, but I won’t be joining you either.”
Not unless he planned on helping them. Her tea would actually be useful then.Guine Sorry for another crappy tag. Literally every time I start writing a post for Palatine, the baby wakes up. rolleyes

Squire Pendour- Roll 6: 3Five seconds of breathing in. Five seconds of breathing out. It was the simplest of her strategies, and the only one she had time for right now, with battle raging just a few feet away. She wanted badly to curl up in a blanket with a cup of lavender tea, or at the very least to ask Oberon how much of what she'd just experienced had been real and how much of it had been some new response that the stress had set off in her mind. What she managed was a weak nod when he said she wasn't a burden. "I'm okay now," she said, and while her voice was often quiet, now it was oddly thin. "Thank you for staying with me. You're right. We should go, just, um, slowly." She was not okay. Her heart was beating too fast in her chest, like hummingbird wings fluttering against her ribcage. She was still trembling, and her knees seemed to have the worst of it. Even the ground did not feel quite right under her feet, but if Oberon was going to wait on her, she was going to do her best to get him out of danger. She reached for his hand to grip it in hers, which would hopefully be a more mobile arrangement, and she took one shaky half-step, then another. Looking in that direction, it was hard not to see the creature, and then of course the metal discs surrounding it. "Is it trapped now?" she asked. That was probably a good outcome, but it was difficult to think too much about philosophy right now.

Corrupt Eternal Cybele- Roll 6: 11
The glow from the talismans seemed to be doing something to keep the darkness at bay. When some bits of light returned, she could see that the creature as on its last legs, past the point of desperate anger and edging on towards weakness.
She could also see those metal disks, like the one that she'd found with Geocronite, swirling around it as it fought the swarm of people from all factions and walks of life. Was it some sort of seal?
Cybele liked the idea of the creature being dead more than she liked the idea of the creature being sealed away, although her own strength was about to be gone, too. She'd been pushing her half-starved, wounded body on adrenaline alone, and she couldn't tell if the way that her vision was going a bit blurry was from that fact or the fact that she'd just hit all of her bruises again.
In any case, she gritted her teeth, and sent out one last "Hunter's Strike!" The barrage hit its mark.
With that, Cybele had well and truly pushed herself past her limit. She collapsed flat on her back, breathing heavily and staring at the sky.

Daisy Grace | 2 | 1 | 7 | 1 | 1 + 5 (bonus)
As the darkness pressed in and down, Daisy felt as if she was being choked by it. She'd never been claustrophobic, but as the darkness closed in on her, she felt stifled in black nothingness. She almost welcomed the slicing pain of claws raking her back. It was something she could feel.
Well, other than being pressed into the ground.
She was ready to simply give up and accept that this was her life now. And then, her pocket began to glow softly. Reaching down as best she was able, Daisy managed to fight against the shoving feeling to withdraw the weird talisman she'd found out in the forest. She pocketed it at the time, thinking she'd look at it later, only to be caught shortly after. And she'd simply forgotten about it.
But now, it was glowing softly, but persistently. It didn't keep the feeling of being shoved away or the random bursts of pain as claw tips pricked at her back. But it was light in the seemingly everlasting darkness.
