Tybalt hadn't found anything worthwile yet. He flipped over a leaf, and found a weezened Tiny Mushroom. Could be poisonous, he'd better test it himself. Nom.
He noticed a hoot-hoot judging him from above, and glared back.
Marmalade returned with some withered looking apples to find that Pangolin had tunneled into the cliff face and found a cavern. He was placing stones over the dirt, but looked up as she approached. "See here," he hissed. "I can collapse it when you are finished."
"That's very nice of you," said Marmalade, a bit embarrassed that all she had to show for her own efforts were wrinkly apples.
Pangolin went back to find more food and came back with a very happy look on his face. He had found a cache of chestnuts, almost more than he could carry.
"Wow!" said Marmalade. "I hope nobody misses these..."
Caliban noted that others were having much better luck. He glared down at his own meagre findings.

Marmalade scraped out a bowl in the rocks to put the apples, oran berries, roots, and chestnuts. "There are a lot of us," she said to Pangolin. "There should be a little time to get some more."
Caliban snorted in disgust at the single measly berry dangling from the next withered bush. At this rate, he'd rather go hungry now and get a decent night's sleep.
Caliban took a moment just to look around at the others. They did seem to be making progress overall, though he felt he hadn't been able to contribute much. With luck they'd have enough food for the night before collapsing in exhaustion.
Jax sighed. This was tough going and she was getting hungry. Searching through more bushes she found another small patch of berries and took it over to the pile.
Cecil tried to stay as still as possible as the other worked around him. The substance it used was odd, it was sticky, and a new sensation he hadn't felt before.
"Thank you." Cecil murmured softly after the caterpie had finished attaching a sticky like substance to his back. Now he didn't have to worry about losing the things he had found. The substance was odd, and something he would have to get use to.

Marmalade looked around for anything else that might be considered edible.
Pangolin returned with some more bitter roots. "The area is very bare at the moment," he hissed apologetically.
Jax walked a little further away from the party, in search of thicker berry patches. Luckily, she found a good few bushes and was able to bring back a small bundle of food stuffs.
Tybalt growled. If he was to add anything to the party's cache, he had to do better than this... he set his nose to work and quickly flushed out a nest of small skittering things from the leaf litter. Better! He delivered them proudly.
