"Begging is a strong word," Mercy commented, her voice trailing off. "Anyway, I do call it seducing, 'cuz you didn't have to--and wouldn't have--slept with me if you hadn't wanted to. And as I remember it, all you and your 'smoothe tongue' did was go on and on about how you and Delorna have the best sex all over my ******** kitchen." Ugh. Repulsive. Mercy gagged, then finished her rant with, "I'll get Claire into my bed, and there won't be any alcohol involved."

"I have urges just like anyone else, and it'd go against my nature to leave someone hanging, especially someone who so very clearly needed some of what I could offer to her." Riko said with a slight shrug as if it were the most obvious thing in the world "And I told you about more than us ******** in your kitchen, I think I added, that we did it on the couch, and in your bed, and in the shower." Riko trailed off as if thinking about other places that she and Delorna had defiled. "So Claire got over you standing her up?"

Mercy cringed a little harder with each location Riko added to the list. "Jesus. Okay, okay, I get the point," she grumbled, wrinkling her nose in disgust. Now that she thought about it, how many places had Siobahn and Riko gotten down and dirty in this building? Was her temporary bed one of them? Mercy blushed and contemplated laying her face in the frying pan. I'll never be free from Riko's libido.
On the subject of Claire, Mercy relaxed and nodded. "We're getting along pretty well now. Better than before, even." Mercy tended to the sizzling pan on the stove. "I told her about Elle and how we're in a violent custody battle with her parents... somehow, she believed me." Mercy shrugged, deciding it was best not to question what had gotten her off the hook. "I decided to leave out the whole werewolf thing," she added.

"I don't know what to say about that. Maybe you do have some type of skill with the ladies that isn't very obvious." Riko said to herself, lowering Elle to the floor, and holding the girl up by her hands, seeing if she could support herself on her own two feet. "You somehow convinced some girl, that you are taking care of a baby with some other woman, and that our relationship is totally nonsexual. I don't know if she is just gullible or if you are just good with words." Riko said her attention down on Elle. "Mommy thinks it's the latter."

"I described you in great detail," Mercy said simply. "She understood." Although perhaps there had been more details Mercy had left out. Or added. For example, there was a chance Mercy had said Riko was straight... or maybe asexual. She couldn't remember which. "But I think how we got Elle is harder to explain and believe than our relationship. Of course, you being obssessed with me, you wouldn't see it that way." Mercy shot Riko a teasing wink.
Something told Mercy Riko had meant the former, but Mercy wasn't about to correct her. She was running with it. "Oh? So you think I'm good with words, huh?" she said with a wolfish grin as she turned to Riko.

"Good to know that you couldn't keep me out of your mouth, even when around your girl." Riko bit rudely. She already knew that anything said probably wasn't very flattering whatsoever, and now was thinking very deeply of all the ways that she could possibly ruin Mercy's and Claire's relationship, in the most messy of ways, she wanted scratching and hair pulling when she was all said and done. "Remember, I'm of the camp that thinks your girl is just a bit Gullible." Riko snorted. "I bet she's blonde. Can't wait to meet her. Riko sang innocently.

Mercy wrinkled her nose and put a hand on her hip. "That's not what you said," she pointed out, swinging the wooden spoon she was holding in Riko's direction. Riko had said either Claire was gullible or Mercy was good with words, and that she believed it was the latter, implying she was referring to the second item in the list. "And what the ******** wrong with blondes?" Mercy asked, left brow quirking. "Elle could grow up to be blonde. Also, who said you were going to ever meet her?"

(was a mistake.) "Nothing wrong with blondes. Some of the time, just making a simple observation is all." Riko said raising, she would have raised her hands in mock surrender if she wasn't busy holding Elle up. "If my daughter comes out blonde, we are dying her hair turquoise" Riko said simply. "Easy fix." She added before looking up from Mercy, who hinted at Riko not meeting Claire, the vampire snorted. "The real question is, what would make you think that I won't meet her, who knows, I might have already met her." Riko licked her lips.

"If our daughter grows up to be blonde, we are not dying her hair turquoise," Mercy said flatly. "Kids are ruthless. They'd make fun of her." Then Riko suggested she had met Claire before... well, slept with her before, Mercy guessed, raising a brow at the way Riko licked her lips. She hummed. "Hm, guess it won't be hard to impress her in bed, then," she replied, feigning a contemplative mood. "Fine, if you really want to meet her, I'll set something up. Guess it's only fair, considering she might spend time with Elle if we become a thing."
Elle was moving her feet, lifting them up and down, up and down, as if she was trying to walk, but she couldn't support herself well enough to stand yet. She squealed, squeezing Riko's hands and looking briefly up at her. This drew Mercy's attention, and the werewolf couldn't help smiling as she watched the baby get excited. Freeing her hands, Mercy knelt down in front of Elle and poked lightly at her stomach, tickling her. Glancing at Riko, she said more softly, "We've got a good thing here, though. Don't we."
(I think Elle's first word should be something obscene. I mean, look at her role models... XD)

(I think Mercy and Riko are taking longer to like like eachother than C.T. and Esther did.) "Good, get her tough early! That's how you keep her from being an idiot later down the line! Better she learn that everyone sucks as early as possible!" Riko argued, what did Mercy know anyway? Turquoise hair was for sure the style that Elle would look the best with, Mercy wouldn't know anything about style. "Goddamn ginger." Riko mumbled under her breath as Mercy approached, she watched the wolf handle the girl, trying not to smile too brightly. "Yes, to be honest, I thought it would have fallen off the tracks long ago."

(Yeah, no kidding. XD But it doesn't necessarily have to happen at all, if we decided against it.)
"Me, too. Jesus..." It hadn't been that long, really, but Mercy was surprised by how far they had come. And not to mention, she was already head over heels in love with Elle. Grinning when Elle giggled at her, Mercy booped the baby on the nose. "Ellie, can you say Mommy?" Elle neither recognized the question nor reacted to it. She only continued to beam and move her small, chubby legs. Mercy shrugged. "Guess we're not there yet." She leaned back, supporting herself with her hands, and took in the full view. Riko, holding their daughter, Elle. "Somehow, when I thought about having a family one day, this isn't what I pictured," she half-joked.

"I never planned on having a family once I was turned, so this is as surprising a change of events as something like this could possibly get." Riko admitted quietly. "I wish the circumstances were different though, seems there are so many things that are set in place just to make this harder than it needs to be, but if I had a choice to go through the hardships, or give up. I choose to stick it through." Riko mumbled. "I'm not a quitter."

Mercy nodded silently in agreement. It would be easy to quit--maybe not emotionally, but in the long run, quitting would definitely save them a lot of grief. But it just wasn't an option now. "Yeah, the circumstances suck. A lot," she said, sighing. "But hey, at least they brought us closer together, huh? Am I right?" Wearing an intentionally cheesy grin, she winked and prodded her elbow toward Riko. "Well, after driving us apart first, I guess..." Meh. Details.
Speaking of details...
Oh, right. There was still food cooking. Smelling something burning, Mercy's eyes grew wide with alarm and she turned suddenly to the stove. "Oh, s**t." Hopping to her feet, she ran over to do some damage control.

"I used to hate you." Riko mumbled as Mercy jumped up to handle the burning dinner that she was somehow going to have to make presentable to feed too everyone later. Riko wondered just how she was going to manage that, she didn't know about the Mercy, but herself and the two sisters weren't keen on eating burned food, though Riko probably just wouldn't eat. "And here I thought you were a master chef. You going to teach our daughter how to burn her meals?"

Mercy continued to swear under her breath as she pulled the pans from the stove and set them to the side. "I was having a moment, Riko!" she argued, though she was too busy avoiding a disaster to even look in the vampire's direction. "And, anyway, most of what she's going to eat will probably be raw!" Because werewolves. Once she had saved the meal, she stepped back, wiped her forehead with her sleeve, and sighed in relief. "It'll be fine, it'll be fine," she said confidently, grinning at her accomplishment. Wait. She had missed something. Something very important. Suddenly, her expression opened in surprise, and she turned to Riko.
"Wait, used to?" she asked, approaching the vampire. "Used to hate me? Did you just openly admit you don't hate me, Riko?" Mercy's cocky grin was making a comeback.
